Information Act (“FOIA”) request dated December 18, 2019 seeking:

“Please send all publically available rules pertaining to how Chicago residents are billed for
water. These records may include, but are not limited to:

-How a resident is billed for a metered account


-How a resident is billed for an unmetered account (i.e. how the assessed value of their property
is determined)
-How a resident is billed for a vacant house
-How late fees/penalties are calculated
-How annual water rates are calculated
-Any municipal codes related to billing

Please send these records as an electronic file.

The Department of Finance bills for water and sewer use according to the Municipal Code of Chicago.
