Prior to works commencing a survey of the site will be completed. This survey will be undertaken to
allow the site team to familiarise themselves with the existing site constraints and to identify both the
location of the existing light head and the proposed location of the temporary position.
Only a Retail Park/Barhale approved contractor will be permitted to isolate and remove the street lights
The Lighting columns will only be removed once Barhale take possession of the site (on completion of
the new access road)
Operatives and visitors will be inducted prior to works commencing and will sign in at the Green Ayre
Compound Establishment
An electrical Permit to work will be completed and issued prior to works commencing
The street lighting columns will be isolated at the main switch panel
A new lighting column retention socket will be hand excavated into the approved location with
necessary ducting to the existing access chamber. This excavation will be backfilled and reinstated
on completion
The Electrical Subcontractor will utilise the existing access chambers to with draw and re-route and
make joints to the existing lighting cables
The existing cables will be disconnected and retrieved. Additional cable will be jointed if necessary
and pulled through to the new location
The existing lighting columns will be removed from the existing retention sockets and lifted and re-
