From Interstate 5 merge onto eastbound Highway 78

Drive approximately 14 miles on eastbound Highway 78, then exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road. Turn right to go south on Twin Oaks Valley Road. After approximately .5 mile, turn left onto Craven Drive.
From Interstate 15 merge onto westbound Highway 78 Drive approximately 4.5 miles on westbound Highway 78, then exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road

Turn left to go south on Twin Oaks Valley Road. After approximately .5 mile, turn left onto Craven Drive.
THE COURSE: 3.0 KM in length The course consists of mostly dirt while taking advantage of the natural elevation surrounding the venue. There will be two run ups and one double barrier section. There will also be a mix of technically challenging bike handling sections and fast straight dirt sections. THE VENUE: California State University San Marcos focuses on the student as an active participant in the learning process. Students work closely with a faculty whose commitment to sustained excellence in teaching, research, and community partnership enhances student learning. The university offers rigorous undergraduate and graduate programs distinguished by exemplary teaching, innovative curricula, and the application of new technologies. REGISTRATION: Save $$$ and time, pre-register on-line at: www.sportsbaseonline.com Online registration closes Thursday, December 2nd at 11:59PM (Pacific). Race Day registration is available opens at 7:30am and closes 20 minutes prior to each race start. ENTRY FEE: Online entry fee is $28.00. Race Day entry add $7. Additional races are just $5.00/race. Junior races (10-18 CX age) are $5.00. Youth (U10) race is FREE. Kids Fun Race is FREE. Juniors pay regular entry fee for category races if NOT entering Junior race. This is an American Bicycle Racing sanctioned event. You ARE insured, but no governing body license fee is required. CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A rider’s CX racing age is the 'racing age' they’ll be the YEAR of the UCI CX World Championships which take place in January 30-31, 2011. Therefore, your racing age for the entire cyclocross season is based on your age as of 12/31/2011. RULES: Event held under American Bicycle Cycling permit. All 2010 ABR Cycling and CX rules apply. More info at: www.AmbikeRace.org. Event held rain or shine, no refunds. Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes (no bar ends please) are best. Bike and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit area(s). Water feeds are allowed anywhere on course. Riders must wear helmets when on the bike at all times. Riders shall stay on the course. Respect the venue and local residents at all times. Please do not preview or warm up on the course while a race is in progress. Please show up early with plenty of time in between race waves to get on the course. CATEGORIES & UPGRADES: This race is not eligible for USA Cycling upgrades. What category should you be racing? As a general rule, (CX) Category 1=Road Pro or Cat 1; MTB Pro // CX 2=Road 2; MTB 1 or 2 - // CX3=Road 3 or 4; MTB 1 or 2 // CX 4=Road 4 or 5; MTB 3; First Timer RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area immediately following each race. Please make sure to check your results within the 15 minutes of posting/protest period or they will be final.
