POST: CLEANING SUPERVISOR [HALLS]

LOCATION: UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON

GRADE: MANUAL GRADE 3

1. ORGANISATION

Report to: DOMESTIC SITE MANAGER OR ASST
HOUSEKEEPER, SITE MANAGER
or SITE SUPERINTENDENT

Post Holder: CLEANING SUPERVISOR

Responsible for: CLEANING STAFF

3. PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

Ideally the post holder should have some experience in supervising
domestic cleaning staff and/or extensive experience in domestic
cleaning. A qualification in First Aid would be advantageous. He/she
should be able to demonstrate inter- personal skills and maintain a
good standard of work.

(k) To hand in to the Senior Caretaker any lost property found or passed on by a cleaner. (b) To ensure that all staff under his/her control carry out their work to the recognised satisfactory standard. (j) To ensure that any maintenance defects noted by or reported to him/her are reported to the Senior Caretaker. (h) To collect. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (a) To ensure that all staff under his/her control are adequately trained in their particular function and are fully aware of all Health & Safety requirements and wear protective clothing as necessary. (g) To assist in the general cleaning operations and any other associated duties as appropriate. PURPOSE OF THE POST The supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of cleaning services within the Hostels. . (c) To assess cleaning material requirements for his/her area of responsibility and ensuring the economical and safe use of same. To assist the Housekeeper in ensuring that all records required by IS09001 and Standard Operating Procedures are correctly maintained.4.
