2019 Pitch to Screen Film Awards Nominees Announced: Awards

Ceremony is held on October 26th at New York City’s Iconic Film at


Lincoln Center

Many filmmakers look forward to the Pitch to Screen Award show as a chance to present their films in
front of key industry guests. This year's Awards Ceremony is scheduled for October 26th, 2019 at Film
at Lincoln Center, NYC.

The Pitch to Screen Festival is a young award event tradition that celebrates the creation and
advancement of innovative cinematic works from both celebrated filmmakers and emerging talent. The
show proudly embraces the passion, vision and creative spirit of these talented artists, while being
dedicated to showcasing the best in world cinema and supporting the next generation of filmmakers. In
exciting news Pitch to Screen, its organizers have announced the 2019 Pitch to Screen Awards
Nominees on October 26, 2019 in New York City a the impressive “Film at Lincoln Center”. A star
studded mix of today’s breakthrough artists is scheduled to attend.

“We couldn’t be in higher anticipation for October 26th,” commented Al Hallak, Founder of Pitch to
Screen. “We’ve been looking forward to this for a year and it will be a great time for all!”

The Pitch to Screen Festival celebrates nominees in three main categories: Best Narrative Feature, Best
Narrative Short, and Best Narrative Student Short. Nominees have the opportunity to present their work
during the Festival Awards Show on Saturday October 26th at the prestigious 'Film at Lincoln Center'
in New York City. Award winners will be announced for each category. Additionally, Narrative Feature
and Short entries will also be evaluated for awards in the following categories: Best Actress, Best Actor,
Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor and Best Music Composition. All nominees are
invited to attend to the red carpet reception and award at “Film at Lincoln Center”. Winners will
receive the official, much sought after Pitch to Screen statuette. The awards is an IMDb qualifying
event.

Films nominated for various categories include:

'Above The Shadows’' Written and Directed by Claudia Myers; 'Homeless Ashes' Directed by Marc
Zammit; 'Sawah' Directed by Adolf El Assal; 'The Doctor's Case’ Directed by James Douglas; ‘The
Tattooed Heart' Directed by Sheldon Wong Schwartz; ‘Marisol’ directed by Zoé Salicrup Junco;
Vicarious' Directed by Dave Ardito; ‘Moldavia' directed by Ligia Ciornei; 'Pacurí' shot on 16mm film,
directed by Gustavo René; and 'Rêverie 11:12' Directed by Beryl Liu and Angelina Guo.

Hosts for this year’s award show will be dancer and writer Juliane Pettorossi and actor/producer Dallas
White. Hosting the red carpet is actress Kelly Thorne and actress Kate Shaw.

A dance performance will also be featured.

The Pitch to Screen Film Awards Ceremony itself is a private black tie event for industry guests and
VIPs, nominees and celebrities held at Film at Lincoln Center - Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.
After the Awards Show guests are invited to the red carpet photos and interviews, bar, and reception.
And then to the After Party held at the iconic Empire Hotel bar.

This Pitch to Screen Festival is organized by Festival Executive Director Al Hallak, Programming
Coordinator Maya Dayal and Festival Coordinator Katrina Chen.
