Kroth will be back for his junior season after taking over the reins
against Sulphur in week five.
With Kroth at the controls Purcell’s offense picked up and the Dragons
reeled off five wins in a row to close out the 2018 season.
Senior Addison Love will anchor the running back slot but will have help
from a pair of juniors in Sam Wofford and Gavin Constant.
Purcell has a tall order in replacing their twin tower receivers Berrey
and Galyean.
“We’re going to have to figure out our receiving corps,” Scott said.
Among candidates are senior Nick Albright and juniors Constant and
Mojo Browning.
Scott said his offense had a good team camp that hopefully translates to
move the ball not only on the ground but through the air as well.
“Last year we could run when we needed to and throw when we needed
to. We have to make sure we can do that again this season,” the coach said. SPARK PLUG
