Two Ways to Heaven

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Matt 13:44 Although there is only one way to heaven, there can be different reasons for wanting to get there. What has become yours?

Assurance of Salvation

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Jn 1:12 Yet it does not mean that you prayed the prayer of acceptance, you have already been accepted into God s family. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Rom 8:16 The assurance of our salvation lies in the seal of the Holy Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit present in our lives.

Dear Lord, we just ask You to bless our church. This very same prayer can mean so different for Cat and Dog Christians. Cats always look after themselves and often pray selfish prayers. Dogs, on the other hand, look after what brings God MOST glory. When they pray for blessings, it is not their primary focus; it is only secondary. And when they pray for themselves, it is usually so that they can have a greater impact of blessing the lives of others.

IV. Worship
Me, myself and I songs have crept into our worship themed with the Cat-Theology Perspective. Are these songs wrong? Not necessarily. It depends upon the worshipper s perspective. Understanding Dog Theology could, and should, cause us to rethink our perspective about every area of our lives!

Cats love to serve God when it is fun. They still want to be close to God. They want Lordship, but they don t want it to interfere with their lives. Dogs submit to complete Lordship anytime, anywhere, anyplace. He is Lord of ALL, or none at all!

VI. Half of God
Cats only know half of God. They focus on God s love, mercy and grace but never on His hatred of sin, wrath and judgement. He loves me! He died for me! He won t judge me, says an ignorant Cat. I am motivated to obey God out of my love for Him. I am motivated not to disobey God out of my fear of Him. Ptr. Peter Tanchi
