include some Christmas food items, please remember us when you are out shopping. Thanks Daisy and Janet. Christingles Candles are on the welcome desk for you to take home to fill and bring back with you to one of the Christingle services. If you would like to take one for anyone else in your family then please feel free to do so. Christmas Crafts Please could you save any tin cans (preferably the ring pull ones as these are the safest) as we are going to be using them in the after school groups over the next few weeks up to Christmas to make planters etc. Please give any washed cans to Jenny asap. The Well Funding Update Praise God that during the past month we have really been blessed and received grants from Normanton Churches Together and The Co-op, the money will be used for the continuation of the project. We have been accepted through to full application stage for a Reaching Communities Lottery Grant, which is fantastic news and an achievement just to get to this stage. Jenny and the Trustees are now working hard on the full submission which has to be in early next year. Please pray that everything falls in place for this application. Christmas Card This year we are suggesting that instead of sending individual Christmas cards everyone signs the large Wakefield Hospice Christmas card on the notice board and then puts a donation for the Hospice in the box provided on the chair below the notice board. Parish Weekend I am delighted to say that Rt Revd. Colin Buchanan will be leading our teaching at Scarborough. Colin was principle of St. John’s Theological College, Nottingham before becoming bishop of Aston and then Woolwich. He is now retired in Leeds. Rotas The new welcome/coffee rotas for January are in the pigeon holes. Right to Believe Thank you for signing the Right to Believe petition. Open doors have received over 144,000 signatures. The petition will be presented at the United Nations in New York on 6th December to Mr Simonovic, the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights. Please pray that the strong show of support for the petition will influence the decision
