I. OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 Identify the days of the week on a calendar


 Arrange the days of the week posted in the wall in correct order

Procedure:
1. The teacher will read a dialogue to the class.
2. The students will listen, remember, repeat and understand the dialogue.
3. The class will be divided into two as Jared and Macey after the teacher read the
dialogue twice.
DIALOGUE

Jared: Macey, when can we meet for a cup of coffee?

Macey: are you available on Tuesday?

Jared: I’m sorry I work every Tuesday, how about Wednesday?

Macey: sure let’s meet tomorrow evening

Jared: It’s a date

PLAY “WALL TOUCH”
Procedure
1. Give each pair some Blue-Tak or something to stick the cards on the wall.
2. Ask everyone to randomly stick the cards all over the walls around the room.
3. Bring everyone into the middle of the room.
4. Shout out “Monday” and everyone has to race over to a Monday card and touch it.
Then “Tuesday” and so on (in correct order) until you make it through all the week
days.
5. Then play another round, this time faster.

IV. EVALUATION
Gestures for “The Days of the Week”
1. stand up with both hands straight up in the ait.
2. As the song plays each of the day words (Monday, Tuesday, etc) slowly lower both
arms, stretching right out, getting lower on each beat of the day words. So, for
“Monday” both arms will be straight up at 12 o’clock, Tuesday yor arms will be at 5-to
and 5-past,….”Thursday” at quarter to quarter-past and finally by Sunday both arms are
pointing down to half-past.
3. Whoever commits mistake will be eliminated.
V. ASSIGNMENT
“days of the week order” worksheet will be given to the students.
