 Setting up common Human Capital Management (HCM) components, including


geographies, lookups, profile options, and enterprise HCM information.
 Configuring legal entities, divisions, business units, locations, departments and jobs
 Describing and establishing position synchronization, position hierarchy, and position
incumbent validation
 Testing setup by hiring a worker by using configured enterprise and workforce
structures

Practice 1-1: Overview: Implementer Sign-Ins

Overview

In these practices, you create an implementation project, assign implementation tasks to users, and
access the implementation to project tasks.

For all practices in this course that require you to sign in as an implementer, use the student and
corresponding implementer sign-ins that your instructor assigns you.

Implementer sign in – Use you implementer ID or Student ID. You can change the XX with your Student
ID.

Human Capital Management Overview

 Describe the structure of Human Capital Management -> refers to HCM Cloud
 Set up HCM with FSM
 Explain the role and value of Global Human Resources
 Receive country- and language-specific support

Functional Setup Manager (FSM) – provides an integrated, end-to-end applications setup and
administration process.

Is where you can get all of your configuration tasks.

Setup and Maintenance is the same thing as FSM

Workforce Deployment – is the Core HR business process, along with payroll

Opt In: Workforce Deployment – this is where you setup/enable the things you would operate.

Application Implementation Consultant - Manages enterprise-wide implementations. Collaborates


with specific application administrators to implement consistent enterprise application setup,
architecture, information, rules, and access. Has access to all setup tasks across all products.
Human Capital Management Administrator – Configures the Oracle Fusion Global Human
Resources application and has access to all duty roles necessary to implement the
Compensation, Workforce Deployment, and Workforce Development offerings.

Application Implementation Manager - Manages and monitors an implementation project.


Configures offerings, options and features and assigns resources to tasks.

Human Resource Specialist (Job Role) - Performs duties of a human resources specialist.
