Lesson Plan N°1

Date: September, 6th. 2010 Level: 2° Medio

Expected Outcomes: The main objetive is that students create their own rules and coexistence
agreements and to know more about their classmates.

Resources: paper, pen, board.

Core of the class


Pre-stage 15 min • Ask student to introduce themselves and name one
adjetive that identify them the most and they have to
justify their choices. The adejctives are cognates and
are written in the board.
While-stage 15 min • Tell students the importance of rules in the classrom
in order to have good interpersonal relationships. To
point out that they can all create their own rules and
make a commitment to fulfill it.
• Ask students to form group of four and discuss the
most important rules that should exist in their
classroom.

Post-stage 40 min
• Ask the groups to report what they have decide as
the most important rules.
• After having all the responses of all groups, to agree
in the most meaningful for all the class. Write the
rules in a card and make all the students to sign it as
a prove of their commitment and agreement.

• Ask students about their relationships as classmates.


• Tell students about the importance to get along with
ther classmates an to know more about them

• Tell students to imagine they have an english uncle


the haven’t meet and that they have to write him a
letter telling him about their likes and dislikes, about
their personality in gneral but they don’t have to
write their names on the letter.
• After picking all the letters, give every student other
letter, different from theirs and ask them to read it
loud. They have to guess which of their classmates is
the owner of the letter.

Expected Outcomes: The main objetive is that students learn cognates and anglisismos, apart
from realize they already know a lot of english since we use a lot of english words daily, like
living,mouse, shampoo.

learn it uses and it basic structure.

Expected Outcomes: The main purpose of this activities is that students can understand the
general idea of the text and some specific infomartion. Also, is important that students can see
the use of present perfect in context and to learn new verbs.
