The miracle is not in the faucet

Build an amen corner Matthew 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. The question was asked - Why could not we cast him out? Jesus replied - Because of your unbelief But it was necessary - this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting Laurence of Arabia – was a movie produced in 1962, and then a book. Born in 1888 Whales known as Tomas Edward Laurence or T.E. Laurence. Famous British military liaison to the Arab revolts during ww1 Laurence during the British raid tied down many Turkish troops that could have been fighting; it was the first episode of gorilla warfare. His literature is Famous; one book he wrote was “The 7 pillars of wisdom” During the war he made close friendship with the sheiks of Arabia. After the war was over He brought several of then back to England to show his appreciation for there cooperation during the war. The made appearances with the queen and sat in on historical writings. Before sending them back Laurence offered them anything they wanted to take back to there desert home. What kind of prize would they take back? They led him to the hotel And then to the bathroom and pointed to the bathtub. They pointed to the faucets to provide water in the deserts. They didn't realize the faucets were superficial. "The magic is not in the faucet” they didn't realize there was a water heater plumbing, a reservoir. If you want the faucet you have to take the plumbing. The faucet could be gold, diamonds or whatever it is useless if its mot connected to the water supply, the sheiks didn't realize you cant just take the faucet to the desert and have water. Point # 1. The faucet is necessary to get the water where it needs to be. God will not pour out his spirit with out a faucet. John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

We need to become a faucet at work, school, and streets 2. 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. It’s God and not us. We cannot afford to say it was I, my preaching, my choir leading. What we have has a source it didn’t come from the faucet. The vessel is not where the Excellency of the power is. It’s easy to take the credit but this is what God has done. 3. The danger we face. When we try to duplicate by human effort what God has established. If we take a faucet and a bucket and fake the water pouring out but its not connected to the source. Singers get into trouble when they just learn to sing. Preach, teacher, We forgot we have what we have because somebody made a connection, bleed for this. Church let’s make a promise tonight. I am never going to become so smart I don't need God. So rich. So busy, So big.
