Document A- Because children may identify visual patterns, adults are asking about the metaphorical patterns, therefore, the Bush administration believes military policy is more important than constitutionally protected freedom of information, since, the ambivalence is part of the historical pattern of queasiness over visual reminders of the cost of war, on account of 700 troops dying in the war in Iraq.
Document C- Because television shows and movies regularly show graphic, horrifying violence, people still assume we are too fragile to face the real thing, therefore, some people believe you have to show people what¶s going on with our soldiers and put them there, since people witnessed horrible things that never reached the air, on account of the editors¶ decisions, most families would rather not have their family members lives and deaths shown on TV.
Document D- Because in every American war since 1776, there has been a subsidiary battle between the government and media over how much J.Q. Citizen needs to know there has been conflict, therefore, the government usually wins, since the government censors banned man-onthe-street radio interviews lest enemy agents disclose prearranged codes via the open microphone, on account of the censorship reeked of totalitarianism.
Document E- Because in the long and furiously contested history of the reporting of war is coming our way with the announcement that somewhere between 500 and 1,000 reporters from all media will be invited to the battlefront in the projected war with Iraq, therefore, this is something the news organizations will surely explore, since the relationship of journalism to government is complex, on account of people saying the media has become a major management problem.
Document F- Because the ground war is finally heating up the brief era of good feelings between the media nad the military are turning sour, therefore journalist complain about being kept in the dark and off the frontlines, since they were accompanied everywhere by a military public affairs

Document B. bad outcomes might come of it. on account of the censors having the power to delete a vast range of material. .The picture shows that if the reporters tell people about everything that is happening in the war and how things are made/used. Saying the µloose lips¶ of reporters might µsink the ships¶ of the military.
