GPS Compliance
ALL deliveries must be tracked using a working GPS tracker.

Private vehicles must have a working cigarette lighter so topper can be plugged in.

All GPS trackers (in toppers, cars, scooters or e-bikes) need to have an assigned tag.

Keep topper cords and the topper together, so tags aren’t lost or incorrectly assigned.

Drivers and Managers are required to read and understand the GPS policies in DOTTI.
Pulse Team Member Information
GPS is integrated with Pulse therefore it is really important to maintain accurate team member
information. We recommend the following is maintained correctly in Pulse:

Correct spelling of name/s.

First name field used for the first name only.
First name should be the same as the driver’s name tag.
Past employees are deactivated in Pulse.
All drivers and managers must be allocated their own Pulse logins.
Licence and registration expiry details are up to date.
Pulse Information - Example

It is important to only use driver’s first names in the First Name field as
surnames can be used to find employees on social media and other sites.
Driver Safety
Domino’s values the safety of our drivers
and the GPS initiative will allow us to better
monitor and control safety incidents.

Speeding, harsh braking and excessive

acceleration are able to be monitored by
franchisees, store managers and DPE staff.

Disciplinary action will be taken for non-

compliance with the Speeding and Safe
Driving Policy.
Driver Safety - Penalties
Speeding up to 15km above the speed limit – a written warning will be issued.
Repeat offences may result in termination of employment.

Speeding 15kms or more above the speed limit will result in the driver having their
employment terminated immediately by written notice.

Acting in a reckless, dangerous and or unsafe manner while performing a delivery –

disciplinary action will be taken relative to the seriousness of the action.
Driver Profiles
Drivers are required to set up a
profile page for themselves.
They need to write their favourite
music, sports team and pizza.

Pose for a photo using the webcam.

Managers need to approve all

driver profiles prior to official use.

8
Driver Profiles – Photo Consent
All drivers have to provide consent before their photo
and profile data can be used on the website.

All drivers must complete the consent

acknowledgement in DOTTI (under My Training >GPS).

Drivers under the age of 18 require guardian/parental

consent, so a hardcopy form is required.

4 APPLY TRACKER

Unless a driver changes vehicle during the shift, they should only need to
assign a vehicle at the beginning of the shift.

12
Surveillance Acknowledgement
We need to obtain an acknowledgement from drivers
that they are aware their vehicle is tracked by GPS.

The acknowledgement message will display on the

screen after the system takes the driver’s photo.

Click ‘Accept’ to continue with the assigning process.

Stickers stating that the vehicle is being tracked by GPS

need to be attached to toppers and vehicles.

13
Assigning a tag to a driver

A message will display saying that the vehicle is assigned and

the driver’s name will be coloured green.

Light blue names = Clocked
on in Pulse and assigned to
a topper / vehicle.

Grey names = Clocked on in

Pulse and not assigned to a
topper / vehicle.

Assign deliveries as per

normal using the dispatch
screen.

Training – At the
customer’s house.

Lin – On the way back to

the store.

Shantell – Unassigned
delivery.
GPS Driver Map – Geo-fences

An invisible geo-fence is applied around the

customer’s house.

It extends 105m, when the driver enters the

geo-fence area the icon will turn blue.

A geo-fence also extends around the store, icons

will disappear when in the store geo-fence.
Ignition On/Off
The GPS system operates based on an ignition on and off system.

Arrow = vehicle is powered and potentially in motion

Diamond = Ignition is off

Failure to ignition off at the customer’s house may result with incorrect colour coding on the return trip
GPS Driver Map – Automatic Zooming
The system will automatically
zoom the Live Tracker screen to
best show the current deliveries.

If there is only one delivery the

screen will zoom in close to that
icon and follow its progress.
Troubleshooting
How often is the live traffic congestion data updated on the live tracker map?

The Google live traffic is updated every 15min on the live tracker map. Main roads on the map
will be colour coded to illustrate the various levels of congestion.

Green = No congestion, Amber = Moderate congestion and Red = High congestion.

Troubleshooting
Why is the driver’s name shaded red?

Driver names will be shaded red if:

• A driver has left the store without a
delivery assigned. Eg. Picking up stock.
• They are driving a vehicle or using a topper
that isn’t assigned to them.
• There is a disconnection between Pulse
and the GPS tracking software.
Troubleshooting
When I scanned a tag I received the following message:

If the vehicle / topper that you are trying to assign is

currently allocated to another Team Member this
message will pop up and will ask if you’d like to Unassign
or Re-assign the vehicle / topper.

In this example Shuaiyu Shan must have not unassigned himself from the vehicle (Yaris) prior to
finishing his shift hence the message says he is still assigned to that vehicle.

If you select ‘Unassign’ you will see the following message, click OK. You will be prompted to
scan another tag. Clicking ‘ReAssign’ doesn’t involve scanning a tag again.
Troubleshooting
Can I tell if the Live Tracker is not connected?
The Live Tracker usually has the word Connected in the top right of the map screen. If the
computer does not have an internet connection or it loses connection with the Navman
Wireless servers then it will display the word Disconnected in red. Try turning the system off for
a few seconds and restarting. If the problem persists call IT Helpdesk.
Troubleshooting
What happens if a topper icon freezes on the screen?
Occasionally a vehicle or topper’s icon may freeze on
the screen, this may happen because the GPS unit
stops transmitting, for example the unit was unplugged
from the cigarette lighter whilst on a trip.
The unit needs to be plugged back into the cigarette
lighter to re-establish a signal. It is important that the
vehicle is within the store’s geo-fence area for this to
work. Once the signal is re-established at the store the
frozen icon will disappear from the map.
