 Sealed box: have a sealed box filled with space related items where
children guess what is inside.
 Astronauts food: taste and look at the food astronauts eat in space
 Pack an astronauts suitcase: as a group, pack what an astronaut
will need to bring to space with them
 Sing songs: Zoom, Zoom, Zoom we’re going to the moon
 Puppet play: have a puppet area with space related puppets
 Smart board eye spy: have different images on the board and as a
class circle the space related items
PHYSICAL: Gross Motor
 Marble painting planets: have images of planets
for inspiration then students pick two colours to
use for their marble painting.
 Asteroid toss: students will throw “asteriods”
into the window of the “space shuttle”
 Balloon stamping: use balloons to create a
paining
 Moon boots: use tissue boxes for students to
use as ‘moon boots’
 Obstacle course: create a space ship obstacle
course
 Treasure hunt: create a treasure hunt to do as a
group and collect items for space as you go
