THE VENETIAN RESORT MEMORANDUM DATE: March 17, 2020 TO: All Venetian Resort Team Members SUBJECT: Important Updates Dear Fellow Team Members, As you are all aware, we are living in unprecedented times, not only in our city and. state, but also alll over the world. Much has transpired over the last 72 hours and it is appropriate that we provide you all with a current update as it pertains to our resort. Today, Las Vegas Sands announced the temporary suspension of operations of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, which includes The Palazzo and The Venezia towers effective Thursday, March 19 at 2:00 pm. The health and safety of our Team members and guests continue to be our top priority. We were trying to avoid this drastic step but in abundance of caution, we feel it is necessary. We know this is a time of uncertainty, however, you can all count on receiving pay and benefits while the resort is closed. No layoffs or furloughs are being mi il i i re eligi In short, here are the steps we are taking on your behalf: © Again, we are not planning on doing any layoffs. * The Team Member Dining Rooms (Ciao & Pronto) will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, March 17th, and will remain closed until further notice. In the meantime, we will be providing boxed lunches and bottled water to ‘Team Members at every meal period in The Venetian ballrooms. Please access the ballrooms from the back entrance. * All full time and full time flex, hourly Team Members will be pai of 32 hours a week, whether you are working on the schedule, working from home or are just not scheduled and are confined to your home + All On-Call hourly Team Members will be paid based on the average hours worked in February 2020 up to a maximum of 32 hours per week. This will apply even if you are not scheduled to work at all while we are closed. We intend to calculate an hourly rate to compensate these employees for some of their lost tip income, © Team Members are encouraged to use their accrued flex time on a “use 2 get 1 free" basis. * No one will be required to take unpaid time off, © Salaried Overtime Exempt (SOE) Team Members will not be required to clock in and out during this time, but will be required to gain approval for, and report any overtime hours earned. * There will be no changes to existing healthcare benefit plans. In the event that your work hours are reduced, your benefit eligibility will not be affected by any reduction. © Salaried individuals will continue to be paid as normal. Please remember to religiously practice personal hygiene standards recommended by the CDC.
