teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped
the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse
The prophecies of the Bible concerning the time
of the end reveal to us the nations that will be
present on earth when Jesus Christ returns. But
what about America and its destiny?
The prophet Daniel gives us the identity of the main
countries that will be involved during the last days of
human government just before Christ take control of
it. It is amazing that we can even see the United
States' declaration of independence described in the
book of Daniel that has been written about 500
years before Jesus-Christ!
God uses beasts as symbols, but we do not have to
speculate on this since He reveals to us in the text
what these symbols represent.
Daniel 7:3-7 And four great beasts came up from
the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like
a lion,
lion and had eagle’s
eagle wings: I beheld till the wings
thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the
earth, and made stand on the feet as a man, and a
man’s heart was given to it. And behold another
beast, a second, like to a bear,
bear and it raised up itself
on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it
between the teeth of it: and they said thus to it,
Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and see
another, like a leopard,
leopard which had on the back of it
four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads;
and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the
night visions, and behold a fourth beast,
beast dreadful and
terrible,
terrible and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron
The lion: It is Great Britain; the
lion is the official symbol of Great
from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten
horns.
We have 4 beasts here and the following verse say
that those are kings along with their kingdom.
Daniel 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are
four kings,
kings which shall arise out of the earth.
Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be
the fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be diverse
from all kingdoms,
kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth,
and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
The prophecy even says that when the end will come,
the terrible beast will be destroyed and the other
beasts (nations) will have their lives prolonged during
the reign of Jesus Christ. We can therefore make
the deduction that these nations will be well alive on
earth at the time Jesus Christ returns.
Daniel 7:26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall
take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it
to the end.
Daniel 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts,
they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives
were prolonged for a season and time.
We now have enough information to understand the
prophecy. God used beasts to describe the nations
and it is precisely what man does today since many
countries have animals characterizing their emblems.
Using a good encyclopaedia we can easily find the
countries corresponding to the beasts mentioned in
this prophecy.
Britain. In their coat of arms we
can see a lion and if you visit
Great Britain you will see statues
of lions everywhere. It is a well
known fact that the lion is the
animal which represents Great Britain. Even the
major publications such as Time magazine frequently
use it to speak about Great Britain.
The eagle: It is of course of the
United States. We can see the
eagle on the United States' coat
of arms as well as on the US
dollar bill. In addition we only
have to open some well known
newspapers to see the
association between the United States and the eagle.
The wings of the eagle were torn away from the lion;
the Bible prophesizes therefore that the United
States will be born from the lion. Do you realize that
2300 years before the fact, the Bible has shown us
the United States' declaration of independence which
occurred on 4 July 1776? The United States have
actually been formed when they separated from
Great Britain.
The bear: Russia is constantly
associated with the bear and it is
his official animal. The flag
representing United Russia uses
the bear as a symbol. Time
magazine has often used a bear
on its cover page when a topic
dealt with Russia.
The leopard: The
identity of the 4
headed leopard needs
a little more attention.
One of the symbols
used by Germany is
the leopard but it also
uses a bird; although the latter has a bad reputation
after the 2nd world war.
Concerning the leopard, one can see it on the coat of
arms of Germany. More, this is not a coincidence
that the famous tank called leopard is from Germany.
This tank it is still recognized today as a reference to
show how powerful tanks are in wars. The leopard is
described as having the domination; Germany is in
fact a dominant force and has almost succeeded to
conquer the whole earth during the 2nd world war.
The four heads of the leopard are the four Reichs.
The first three Reichs are legendary; Germany has
been involved in 3 major wars. Following the 2nd
world war, during the 3rd Reich of Germany, the
countries of the world decided to divide Germany to
prevent it from dominating again. But today we see
the 4th Reich in action since Germany dominates at
a technological level and is global player regarding
world affairs.
The terrible beast: To understand
the terrible beast we need to see
the prophecy in Daniel 2 that
complements it. This prophecy
describes a statue composed of
different elements. We can find that it is a
succession of kingdoms which have dominated the
earth: the head is the Babylonian empire, breast and
arm of silver are the empire of the Medes and
Persians, belly and thighs of bronze are the Greek
empire, the legs of iron are the Roman empire, the
feet part iron and part clay are the Holy Roman
Empire that consists of a king of the old Roman
empire in association with the Pope and his church.
It is an amalgam of politics and religion but they are
two distinct powers since clay do not combine with
iron. The 10 toes represent an alliance of ten kings
who form the Holy Roman Empire reformed. Doing
research on the Treaty of Lisbon, which reunites
Europe as it was at the time of the Holy Roman
Empire, you will not be short on documentation since
it is a hot topic in the current world events.
The terrible beast is therefore the Holy Roman
Empire reformed with 10 kings (the 10 horns are
the same kings as the 10 toes the statue). The
antichrist is the small horn that will come from within
this empire. The book Revelation even talks about a
character called the false prophet who will come
from the Catholic Church. This person will have the
religious power over the world. He will be the
antichrist's ally at the time of his reign. They will both
be destroyed by Jesus-Christ when He returns.
Now let's turn to the destiny of America and more
specifically the United States. In Revelation 13, John
describes the same beasts that Daniel saw, but they
are now collected in one single beast; this means
these countries will gather to form a world
government with the antichrist as leader.
God never ceases to impress us by
His omniscience since He even tells
us that English will be the language
used to communicate within this
community. Indeed the mouth of
this beast is that of the lion, who
represents Great Britain, where English is the official
language of course. Do you know what is the official
language adopted by the United Nations? English! If
you are not yet fascinated by the accuracy of the
Bible, it is time to wake up!
Note that all the beasts are present, except the
eagle. However, we can see it 4 verses earlier in Rev
12:14. In this passage the eagle protects the woman
crowned with 12 stars which represents Israel. We
can confirm that it is really Israel by comparing with
Genesis 37:9.
Just imagine the precision of this prophecy, the only
world power currently defending Israel is the United
States. They have used their veto power more 100
times at the United Nations to block resolutions
which were very disadvantageous to Israel. The
United States are also Israel's major weapons
supplier, allowing them to defend themselves against
the millions of hostile Muslims surrounding them.
Daniel tells us in Dan 11:30 that the antichrist,
which will be the leader of the international
community, will meet opposition during his reign. It
will take powerful nations, outside of the world
government, to keep him from total domination.
Finally the logic dictates that Israel will be among
those who will resist the antichrist, since the latter
will deploy its military forces to invade the country
during the battle of Armageddon.
Currently, the United States are virtually the only
ones that stand apart and support Israel. But the
Bible says that, after they will have fought hard
against the global forces of the antichrist, they will
ultimately abandon Israel to its fate, just before the
battle of Armageddon. At this point there will be no
earthly power able to rescue Israel from total
destruction, and it is at this time that Jesus Christ
will miraculously intervene to save Israel. The Jews
who will witness this will recognize their mistake,
since at His 1st coming, they did not accept Him as
the Messiah. Seeing this demonstration of power,
they will all convert by believing in Jesus Christ as
their saviour.
Ask yourself what are the chances of finding the
symbols of most powerful nations on earth that will
be present at the time of the end, with their
respective characteristics, and this in the most
widespread book in the world? If one adds all the
other prophecies contained in the Bible, taking into
account that they have all occurred (and will continue
to occur) in all their details, we are staring at an
astronomical almost incalculable figure, which
reveals the supernatural origins of the writings
contained in the Bible.
Questioning facts as obvious as that would be a
flagrant lack of seriousness. The accuracy of biblical
prophecies shows us the power of its author.
Acknowledge that the Bible is the work of God who
knows the beginning and the end of all things. If you
have not yet discovered the message that God has
given to men in the Bible, it is about time you
examine it because your eternal destiny depends on
it.
