Knowledgeable
In your own words explain what you now know about your personal inquiry: I know that icebergs are like floating ice islands and 90% of them are
under the water so that means that there is only 10% showing. Ice shelves are pieces of ice broken off from Glaciers. The size of an ice berg depends on the time of the year if it is March,
April, May and June it will be smaller than it would be in October, November and December because of the heat since ice bergs are made out of ice then they will melt if it is very hot. I know
that ice bergs have nothing to do with global warming. Global warming is from our pollution which causes the ice bergs to melt lots of people think that ice bergs cause global warming but it
is actually us that make global warming and not the ice bergs. Ice bergs are not just made it is pieces of ice that grow in size which means that ice bergs keep growing and we keep melting
them so it is like a chose act reflect cycle for both us and the ice berg we are choosing to pollute so we act and pollute then we reflect and think oh no we are destroying ice bergs but then
we just forget about it and we do it again. It is like ice bergs are choosing to grow so they act and grow then they reflect is there really a point of growing if we keep getting melted again.
40% of ice caps have melted which are loads and loads of pieces of glaciers. This is all caused by us we know if we do this we will make global warming happen and that is defiantly not what
we want to happen. Ice bergs melt because of pollution that causes the rate of temperature to rise which will not only create global warming but will kill us because of the temperature rise.
This is not like pollution just causes the temperature to rise it is because it destroys the atmosphere around the world and that is what makes sure that not all of the sun’s heat comes or hits
planet earth. The more cars we make the less amount of time we have before global warming happens and the whole world folds. I have a theory that every time ice bergs melt a tiny bit the
water levels will still not change a bit because of the weight loss of the ice berg this is my opinion and it is not a fact. If you go to an ice berg you will find that there is actually some life
there like some penguins, polar bears, seals, killer whales and even human activity some humans live there because they were born there and cannot get off. People that live on ice bergs are
stuck there and have to eat the animals that live on the island but they might even find them self getting eaten by polar bears. It is hard to survive on an ice berg because there is little food
and little shelter on ice bergs because of the temperature. I could not survive on an ice berg and it is hard to find good water that is not freezing cold. Well actually people do not live on ice
bergs but they can live on glaciers.
