The last couple of weeks have been hectic. I haven’t seen much of Matt or Josh.
I have a little part time job as a waitress. Lynn, Danni and Max are also workin g there. We could all use the money. Two months have passed and things seem to me going good. It was a Friday evening and the guys and I were hanging out together, all except Maya. She had a test to study for. The guys and I were joking around and laughing. Alex and Jerry were telling jokes and the rest of us were on the floor laughing. My stomach was hurting me and tears were streaming down my face. I’ve never laughed this hard in my life. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I reached for it as I whipped the tears from my eyes. It was a text from Josh. I smiled and read it. ‘Hey Vi, it’s Chloe, I bet your wondering what your boyfriend has been up two for th e past couple of weeks. Open the link to find out.’ After a few minutes of battling weather or not to open it, I reluctantly pressed opened. It was a video of Josh and Chloe. Kissing. They looked pretty into it. They were in Josh’s dorm, so I know it was recent. Tears fell down my cheeks unwillingly. I didn’t know who or what to believe. I looked down at the ring that Josh gave me when we were in high school. He won’t hurt me like that. This was Chloe’s doing. Right? “Vi, are you okay?” Matt asked. “Yeah,” I lied. “I laughed too hard,” I said whipping the tears away. “Don’t lie to us,” Max said taking my phone. I tried to take it back but she gave it to Alex. He read the message out loud for everyone to hear and watched the video. “Violet, Josh wouldn’t do this,” Jerry said “I want to think that,” “He loves you. Look at the ring on your finger,” Alex said. “Talk to him,” Max said. “I will. Later,” “No!” they all said. I sighed. I knew they were right. Why fight them? I took my phone away and walked to my dorm. I dialed Josh’s number and it was busy. I tried three more times after that and nothing. I didn’t even want to think what he was doing. I sat on my bed and tried again. Nothing. Tears came in my eyes again. I lied on my bed and hopped he will call me back or something. (Matt’s Point Of View) The guys and I went our separate ways. The girls stayed in the lounge and the gu ys and I went to cheek on Violet. She seemed heart broke. I don’t know Josh’s side of the story but I know he wouldn’t hurt her. But if he did. I’ll beat the shit out of him. I opened the door to Violet’s dorm. I heard soft sobs coming from her room. I closed the door and walked to her room.
I lied next to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. Violet rolled over and rested her head on my chest. I whipped her tears away and held her close to me. I didn’t say anything. I just held her and hopped her tears would stop. After a while she stopped and cuddled closer to me. “How are you?” I whispered. “I don’t know,” she sighed. “I’m sorry, Violet,” “You didn’t do anything,” “I know but, I don’t like seeing you like this. I want to make you smile again,” I whi spered the last part in her ear. Violet looked up at me with her beautiful purple eyes. “Matt,” she whispered as we leaned in closer to each other. Our lips brushed and my heart raced. I leaned in a little more to press my lips against hers, but she backed away. “No, I can’t. Josh was faithful to me,” she said sitting up. I watched her whip away her tears and dial Josh’s number. (Violet’s Point Of View) The phone rang twice and Josh answered out of breath. “Hello?” “Josh?” “Hey Violet, what’s up?” “You tell me,” “Huh?” “I got a text from Chloe telling me that you are cheating on me,” “I would never do that, you have to believe me,” I could hear the panic in his voice . “I do. I just wanted to make sure. I love-” “Joshy, get back in bed,” I heard Chloe say. My heart skipped a beat. “Who was that?” I asked slowly. “No one,” he said quickly. “Love you,” “No! Josh, don’t lie to me,” I said as tears formed in my eyes. “It’s nothing,” “You’re lying to me. That’s Chloe isn’t. If you wanted to go back out with her you could have told me, instead of cheating on me,” “Violet-” Josh tried. “I don’t care what you say, because me and you are over,” I as I said that the phone d ropped from my hand and I fell to the floor, in shock. Did I mean that? My breathing quickened and I started to shake as the tears fell. I could hear Josh yelled my name trying to explain. Matt came over to me and wrapped his arm around me. I cried on his shoulder. He was shaking too. I looked up at him and saw that he was tearing up too. “Matt are you okay?” I asked. “No, I hate seeing you like this,” “Don’t cry,” “But, Vi, I can’t help it,” I hugged him and he hugged me back tightly. “I love you and I promise you I will never hurt you,” Matt whipped my tears and kissed me slowly on the lips. I pulled away and hugged him again. I was on my way to class in a daze. Last night felt so surreal. Josh had broken my heart and I think Matt could fix it. But did I want that.
I wasn’t over Josh yet, or at all. I walked into class and took my seat. (Josh’s Point Of View) I didn’t go to my classes today. I emailed my teachers and told them that I was I sick. I lied motionlessly on the sofa. Last night was my nightmare came true. I didn’t cheat on Violet. I wouldn’t even think about it. Chloe and I go to the same school, sadly. She won’t leave me alone and to make mat ters worse, she a cheerleader and I’m the caption of the football team. The last couple of weeks have been horrible, concerning Chloe. Two nights ago we won a game and we all got pretty trashed. Chloe followed me back to my dorm with my dorm mates. She attached me and started to kiss me. I kissed back. I was too drunk to stop her. Halfway through I stopped her and kicked her out of the house. She wouldn’t stop after that. She kept on chasing after me. I was going to tell Violet about my mistake but I could find my phone. Last night Violet came over and tried, once again, to get with me. Then Violet called. I had everything under control, until Chloe opened her big mouth. After that I told her off and slammed the door in her face. I thought everything was smooth sailing after high school. I’m going to see her tomorrow. I need my girl. (Violet’s Point Of View) I walked out of class and headed to the cafeteria. I had only one class. It’s Saturday. I turned the corner and saw Matt and Maya kissing. My poor heart was dead now. He pushed her off of him. “Maya you have to stop this. I don’t love you, I love Violet. We had a good thing in high school, but now it’s over and you have to move on,” “Whatever!” she said and walked off. Matt looked over at me and rushed over. “How much did you see?” “Everything,” “Violet, I wouldn’t do that to you,” “I know. Matt, I think I like you, but I’m not over Josh. I do still love him. Yet, he broke my heart and you might be able to fix it,” Matt smiled. “I will and I promise you-” “I know, just promise me that you’ll never lie to me,” “Promise,” he grinned. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me close to him. Matt leaned down and captured my lips. (Matt’s Point Of View) I’m the man! Violet is my girlfriend. After years of wishing it’s finally happened. I was grinning like an idiot all day. I was in my dorm lying on my bed looking at the ceiling, smiling. The door opened and the guys started piling in. “Hey man what’s up?” Alex asked. “Yeah, why are you so happy? Got laid?” Jerry joked. “Was it that hot girl you were talking to the other day?” Ryan asked.
“You mean Maya?” I asked. “Yeah. She on top of my ‘to do’ list,” he smirked. “You can have her and no. I’m dating the most amazing girl ever,” “Who?” they all asked. “Violet,” “What?!” “The freaky purple eyes chick?” Ryan asked slipping a beer. “Yeah,” “How did she get with you?” I sighed and told them what happened. (Josh’s Point Of View) I was packing my things as me and my roommate watched the game that was going on . My phone rang. I picked it up and smiled. It was Alex. “What’s up, man?” “I have some news to tell you,” “About?” “Violet … and Matt,” “What about them?” “They are dating,” My heart skipped a beat. “What?” I yelled. Alex told me the whole story. We said good bye and I punched the wall. Matt never gives up. Matt and I were watching a movie on my sofa together, the next day. I have to admit I liked dating Matt. He was gentleman in everyway and very much like Josh. Matt had his arm around me as we watched the screen. I heard Matt’s phone vibrate in his pocket. He looked at it and dropped it back in his pocket. “Aren’t you going to answer it?” I asked. “I’m with you,” I smiled a little. “It could be an-” “It’s nothing,” “Okay,” I said moving closer to him. He kissed my hair and continued to watch the movie. Josh’s Point Of View I finally reached Florida. I unpacked in the hotel I was staying at and headed to the campus. I was going to see Violet and work this whole thing out. Violet’s Point Of View I gave Matt a quick kiss before he left. “I’ll see you tonight,” “Eight o’clock,” I smiled. He grinned back at me and headed out the door. I hopped in the shower, so I wouldn’t have to take one later. I changed into comfy clothes and put my hair on top of my head so it could air d ry. There was a knock on the dorm room door, which startled me. “Hello?” I called. “Violet?” I heard a familiar voice reply. “Josh?” I asked and opened the door.
Matt’s Point Of View I headed back to my dorm with a smile on face. “Hey Alex!” I called to him. He looked over his shoulder and once her saw me and jogged over. “I have some bad news for you,” “What?” “Josh is here, looking for Violet,” Violet’s Point Of View I stared blankly at Josh, who was now in my living room. “I think there has been a huge misunderstanding,” “There has been?” “Yes. I would never ever cheat on you. I didn’t cheat on you. Chloe set me up. I adm it, I did kiss her, but she caught me off grad when I was drunk,” I raised an eyebrow at him. “You drunk?” “Football celebration,” he admitted. “Right,” “Violet, you have to believe me. Why else would I be here?” He made a point. If he didn’t love me, then why would he be here, practically on his knees, begging me to take him back. But, more importantly, why did I let him in? Did I still care about him? To say I don’t would be lying. I loved Josh and I still do, but being with Matt just…I don’t know. I was confused. I bit my lip and looked at Josh. “I believe you, Chloe has tried this before. But I really like Matt. I’m not sure wh at’s going on in my head right now, but I’m staying with Matt,” Josh looked hurt and shocked. “What?” he asked slowly. “I’m sorry, but…” I trailed off. What is wrong with me? “I’ll wait for you,” Josh said getting up. “Are you going to the game tomorrow?” “Yeah, Matt’s playing,” “I’ll see you there, then,” “Yeah,” I smiled. Josh left the dorm quickly and slammed the door. Is this what I wanted? The girls helped me get ready for my dinner date with Matt. We were going out to pizza, nothing fancy. Matt and I walked there hand in hand. Talking and laughing about anything. We took our usual seat, by the window. Matt ordered for us and our food can shortly after. “Ready for the game?” I asked him. “I was, until Josh,” “Don’t worry about him. What’s the worst he can do to you?” Matt gave me a look. “I’ve known Josh since pre-k, he’s capable of some things,” “Don’t worry,” He took my hand and smiled. “Whatever you say,” I smiled at him and took a bit of my pizza. Once we were done, we went to Matt’s dorm. Matt kissed me and we fell on his bed. I pulled him closer to me and wrapped my legs around his waist. Matt moved the kiss down to my neck then back to my lips. I kissed back hungrily and pulled on his shirt a little. Matt pulled away quickly and pulled off his shirt.
I kissed him again and felt his abs with my fingers. Matt then tugged on my shirt. I smiled and he took it off. He attacked my neck and a small moan escaped from me. He chuckled and kissed me again. Pulled him closer to me and pressed my lips harder on his. Our tongues danced together. Matt slowly moved his hand down to my waistband on skirt. I pulled away and looked into his eyes. That was as far as we’ve ever gone. I sighed and rested my forehead against his. He hugged my waist. I kissed him again and smiled. “I should go,” “Want to stay the night?” I smiled. “Sure,” ***** “Morning,” Matt smiled. I smiled back at him as he brought me breakfast in bed. He joined me in bed and put the tray in my lap. “Sweetest guy ever,” I said kissing his cheek. I picked up my fork and noticed I was still wearing Josh’s ring. I quickly took it off and stared at it. “What?” Matt asked. “You like your eggs dry, don’t you?” I laughed. “You’re too sweet. I like my eggs wet and I’m fine,” He chuckled and we eat together. Talking and joking. After breakfast I took a long shower and changed into my clothes. Matt hopped in after me and I walked into the living room. “Hey guys,” “Yeah, Vi,” Jerry and Alex said. Vincent waved and that Ryan guy winked at me. I rolled my eyes at him and sat next to Vincent. “How was your sleep over?” Jerry asked. I smiled. “Lovely,” “Good,” “Ready for the game,” “Yeah!” they all cheered. “You’re gonna be there right?” “Yeah,” I smiled. “Yes,” I laughed as Matt walked out of the bathroom. “Hey,” he smiled at me. “Hi,” “Hello to you too,” Vincent said. “Shut up,” Matt muttered. “I should go, huge test Monday,” “Good luck,” “Thanks. Bye guys,” “Bye,” they called after me. I kissed Matt at the door and hugged him goodbye. Matt’s Point Of View I watched Violet leave my dorm and smiled. She looked back at me and waved. I waved as she turned the corner. I walked back inside. The guys smiled at me.
“What?” I asked. “You know this isn’t going to last right?” Alex said. “Huh?” I asked. “She’s not over Josh,” Jerry said. “If so, then why isn’t she back with him?” “I don’t know, but I know I’m right,” Jerry said. “Did you sleep with her yet?” Ryan asked. “No…” They raised an eyebrow at me. “Really?” “She wants to take it slow,” “Dude, it’s not going to last. Either sleep with her or dump her,” “Watch it, Reed,” I said glaring at Ryan. He smirked. “Touchy,” I rolled my eyes. “We need eggs,” I muttered grabbing my keys. I walked to where I park my car and drove to the store. I got my eggs and walked back to my dorm. I saw Josh and he saw me. He clenched his fist and walked over to me. “Who the hell do you think you are?” “I’m Matt,” “Don’t be a smart ass, must I remind you, we’re not the best of friends,” “So, when are you going ot punch me?” “I’m not getting you back here,” Just as I feared, he wanted to take me out on the field. “See you in a couple of hours, girlfriend stealer,” “What are you? Six?” “I’m pissed,” he said and stormed away. I sighed. And the war begins. ***** I was with Matt in his room before the big game. He seemed out of it, like his was thinking about something. “Are you okay?” “Yeah,” he said smiling. “Just a little tired,” I kissed him before patting my lap. Matt smiled and rested his head on my thighs. I played with his hair and smiled back. He closed his eyes. Matt’s Point Of View I was not looking forward to this game. Josh and I play against each other last year and we tied. Nothing really happened because we weren’t on speaking terms. I didn’t see him and h e didn’t see me. But today was different. Josh was pissed at me. I stole his girl and she agreed to stay with me. I’ve been more nervous in my life. I opened my eyes and smiled at her. She smiled back. “Ready?” she asked. “For the game? Yeah!” I lied sitting up. She smiled and I kissed her. She kissed back and wrapped her arms around my neck. I hugged her waist and deepened the kiss. I picked her up and carried her to my room. I kissed her neck as I lied her down gently. I felt her lift up my shirt and I took if off quickly. Her fingers lingered on my chest, giving me tingles. I smiled and pressed my lips to hers again.
I took off her sweater and pulled off her top. Violet pulled me closer to her. I slowly began to undo her pants and she made no attempt to stop me. I pulled them off and she helped. I smiled and kissed her neck, slowly making my way down. I undid her bra slowly and took it off. I kissed her again, on her soft addicting lips. Violet undid my pants and I kicked them off. They only thing coming between us was our underwear. I reached under my pillow and pulled out a condom. I pulled away slowly and smiled at her. I held up the condom and she blinked. “You want to?” I smiled. “Yeah,” She bit her lip then smiled and kissed me. She took off her underwear and mine. I put on the condom and smiled. This was it, I thought as I entered her slowly. She smiled and I picked up the pace. Josh’s Point Of View I met up with the rest of the football team and we hug out around the campus. “Josh?” I turned around and saw Max and three other girls. They must be Lynn and Danni. “Hey,” I smiled. They hurried up to me. “Nice to finally meet you,” one of them said. “You too…Danni?” “Yeah,” she smiled. “You remembered Lynn said. “Yeah,” “So,” Max said. “You’re here for the football game?” “Yeah, I’m playing,” “Cool,” Lynn said. “Did you hear?” Max asked. “About Matt and Vi? Yeah,” “Sorry,” the girls said. “It’s okay. Matt confused her,” Max laughed. “Well, he is hot,” I raised an eyebrow at her. “You like him?” She blushed. “No,” she stuttered and looked at the ground. “I got to go,” she said and hurried away. “Me too,” “Bye Josh,” “Bye ladies,” Violet’s Point Of View I was cuddled next to Matt, smiling. “I love you,” he whispered. I smiled and kissed him in responds. I couldn’t say ‘I love you’ back to him. He pulled away and hugged me. “Good luck today,” “Thanks babe,” I kissed him again and got up. I felt his eyes on me and I blushed. “You’re cute,”
I grinned as I got dressed. “Want to sleep over again?” he asked. “I wish I could, but I can’t, huge test,” “Right,” “Sorry, but after my test I’m free,” I said kissing him. “Good,” I grinned and finished getting ready. “I’ll see you at the game, you won’t miss me with my ‘I heart Matt’ sigh. He chuckled. “See ya,” “Bye,” “Love you!” he called after me. The stadium was full with students from both schools. The girls and I found a seat together and sat down. The game started shortly after and things were getting ugly. (Matt’s Point Of View) Josh has been tackling me every time I get the ball. If it wasn’t him it was once else. It was like he told him team to go after me. Ryan passed the ball to me and I ran backwards, quickly trying to find someone t o throw the ball to. Alex was open and before I could threw in the ball Josh tackled me to the ground . “What’s your problem Thomas?” I asked him. “Right now, you Evans,” he said pushing me. “Well you really need to get over it,” I said pushing him back. “Oh really?” he said pushing me harder. “Yeah,” I said pushing him, Before I knew it we were in a fight. Alex, Ryan, Jerry and Vincent tried to break it up along with a few other guys o n Josh’s team. The referees came over to break us up. Josh was pulled away from me. I took off my helmet and he did the same. The refs yelled at us and gave Josh and I a yellow card. My coach was less than happy. I was benched until half time, as was Josh. **** Half time was over and Josh’s team was winning. We had to win. We need to win. (Violet’s Point Of View) The game was getting a little personal. I just wanted it to end. After half time Josh and Matt were both back on the field. I sighed quietly and just hopped that they both behaved. And they did. Matt scored three touch downs bringing up our score. We could have won if Josh and another player didn’t score a touch down. Seconds were on the clock and there was now why we could win. Matt took the ball and threw it to Jerry. Jerry spirited up the field. He quickly threw the ball to Ryan before he was tac kled. Ryan ran up the filed and crossed the end zone before the buzzer buzzed. The home side of the stadium stood up and cheered! Ryan did a little dance and his team mates ran over to him.
The girls and I joined the crowd of people rushing down to the field. We fought our way into through the crowd to see the guys. Matt saw me and smiled. “Congratulations,” I said as I hugged him. He gave me a quick kiss. “Thanks,” “Party at my place!” Ryan said as he was being carried away. “Wanna go?” Matt asked. “Why not,” Matt kissed my check before running off to the changing room. I smiled and looked for the girls. “Found you!” Danni said. “Hey,” I smiled. “Going to party?” Max asked dancing. “Heck yea,” “Then let’s get cute,” Lynn said running off. We followed her, laughing. I caught a glimpse of Josh. I looked over at him and he smiled a little. I waved and tried to catch up with the girls. ***** I was dancing with Matt at Ryan’s party. His dorm was small so we were pretty close together. Not the best party space but it was still fun. Some of the people were in the hallway. “Are you okay?” I asked out of the blue. I just remember his fight with Josh. “Huh?” he asked. “Your fight with Josh,” I clarified. “Oh, that, yeah, I’m fine. Sorry you, um, saw that,” he said. “It’s okay,” “So, what did you think of the game,” “You’ve gotten so much better. I thought you were get in high school your amazing no w,” Matt blushed. “Thanks,” “You’re so cute,” I said pinching his cheeks. “Thanks,” he said blushing again. I laughed and he kissed me. After partying all night the girls and I finally went back to our dorm. **** I woke up early and studied for my test once again. I needed to pass. I quickly got ready and left my dorm and headed to class. I sat down and studied so more. I had a major head ach from last night and I’m pretty sure I forgot everything. The teacher began to pass out the test. Once I got mine and read the questions slowly. Moments later there was a knock on the door. My teacher answered it. “Violet,” he called. “Yes?” He waved me over to him and I stood up and walked over to the door. A man was standing there with a somber look on his face. “What’s wrong?” “I have some news about your father,” the man said. My father? Comment & Vote!
