Ghazi Akil enjoys almost 52 years of local market expertise, covering several

Ghazi Akil views each project as a piece of poetry, literature or music. Of the
distinctive characteristics of his designs are accurate details, elegance, and

Bio-Data

Ghazi Akil landed in Kuwait in 1957. He initiated Ghazi Akil Interior Design and
Décor Office. No long time passed before he gained a good reputation. He was
constantly referred to when seeking good creative interior design solutions to the
highest quality standards, whether at the private housing, government, or
commercial institutions levels. He is a pioneer in establishing, or contributing to,
this artistic sector of top-level projects in Kuwait.

Ghazi Akil began his career with passion in colors, which developed into interior
design and architecture. He studied at the Agricultural Institute, where the art
teacher discovered his talent and tremendous artistic capability of manipulating
colors and drawings. As his teacher suggested, Akil joined the Académie
Libanaise Des Beaux Arts (ALBA) (Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts) as it was
about to open a new interior design and architecture department in 1955.
Afterwards, he moved to studying interior design and décor at a new department
in ALBA, which was established in 1937, affiliated to the French Academy of Fine
Arts. He was among the first freshmen group studying interior design and
architecture, as this subject was not previously taught in the Lebanese colleges
and institutes.

Ghazi Akil continued his career and obtained a certificate majoring in décor and
painting. He attended several training courses relating to decoration,
management style, and supervision. Throughout all stages of study, he had
been an outstanding student, achieving top ranking. He enriched his career with
extensive research, which helped him attain a leading position in the preparation
and implementation of designs that combine simplicity and luxury.

between the decorist and designer. Therefore, prior to proceeding on

is impossible).
