Dear Sir,
Permission To Visit The Yum Yum Chocolate Factory

I read with interest your advertisement in The Star dated 30 August 2004, offering visits to student
parties. On behalf of the School Consumer Club of SMK Sungai Emas, Johor Bahru, I would like
to request permission for us to visit your factory at the end of the term.

2.         It would definitely be beneficial for us to see how chocolate is made from bean to bar. We
are keen on a guided tour towards that purpose of understanding the whole process involved in
chocolate production. We truly appreciate the opportunity to buy your chocolates at discounted
prices and get free information packs. In addition, we would like to take up the offer of attending
the lectures and video presentation that you have available to increase our knowledge and enhance
our experience. We further request permission to take some photographs of the activities for our school
magazine.

3.         They will be forty (40) students in the visiting party accompanied by two teachers. We hope
to visit your factory on Monday 18 October 2004 from 10.00 a.m., taking into consideration
the programme you have in store for us. It would be helpful if you could enlighten us on the time
allocation for each activity involved. If the proposed date is not convenient, please suggest an
alternative. We are prepared to make the necessary changes. Our address and contact number are as
given above.

4.         Finally, we are grateful that parking is available and we would like to request parking space
for a teacher’s car and a chartered bus.

We look forward to a favourable reply. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Principal of SMK Catholic Convent

Dear Madam,

Requesting Approval To Visit Yum Yum Chocolate Factory

On behalf of the English Language Society, I am writing this letter to you to ask for your approval to
visit Yum Yum Chocolate Factory in Kuala Lumpur.

2. The details of our visit are as follow:

Date of visit : 20 – 21 September 2018

Day of visit : Saturday and Sunday
Place of visit : Yum Yum Chocolate Factory, Jalan Ampang Baru, Kuala
Lumpur

3. It would definitely be beneficial for us to attend this visitation. It can help us to increase our
knowledge chocolate production and enhance our experience in identifying the different grades and
types of chocolate. For your information, there will be forty students accompanied by two teachers in
this trip. Both teachers are our club advisors, Madam Lim Jia Ying and Mr Jung Ha Shin. They are
very experience in handling the students especially bringing students for trips and excursions. We will
be booking a chartered bus provided by Holiday Travel Company. Besides, we will be staying at
Collins Hotel in Petaling Jaya. The reason we choose to accommodate there is because the place is
very near to the factory and convenient for us to walk around the city at night.

5. We have also discussed with the factory manager about the activities that we can participate
there. They welcome us to have a factory tour to see how the chocolate are made from bean to bars in
the morning. Next, they also suggest us to attend the lectures and video presentations to learn more
about their company. We also look forward to having hands-on activity to make our own chocolates
and bring them back for our families. The final activity will be shopping chocolates at their retail
stores at discounted prices.

6. We hope that you will consider our request to visit the chocolate factory. We will be elated if
you can approve our permission.

We look forward to receiving your reply. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,
