Dominica Update February 2009

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, We greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is to be praised for calling us and equipping us for His service. OBC Ministry: The Lord continues to bless His Word through the ministry of the Open Bible Church of Marigot. Almost all of our seats are being filled for most services including Friday night youth fellowship. The Lord has given us a good number of young people, and we are seeing evidence that He is working in their lives. A few weeks ago Gevin made a profession of faith, Stephanie said she wanted to surrender her all to the Lord, and Glendel, Shauna, Adina, and Leo all requested baptism. We thank the Lord for working in these young people's lives, and I am sure they would appreciate your prayers for their continued spiritual growth. Health Issues: Octavia Alexander is still having problems with what doctors believe is a failing kidney. She recently learned of the cost involved in getting her ready for dialysis and the regular dialysis treatments and was downhearted. Pray that she will continue to lean on the Lord and His will for her life. I am off all medication except for a daily 81mg aspirin which I seem to not be able to do without. When I stop taking it I have had SVT attacks at night. I have been enjoying a slow improvement but still have some challenging days from time to time. Pray for the Lord's strength and endurance for ministry. Furlough Replacement: Axel and Nicky Auguiste are now attending services with us in preparation for taking over the leadership of the church. Pray for them as they move into this new ministry for them that the Lord will equip them with all they need to effectively lead this little flock. We are enjoying my mother, Arlene Cornelius, and niece, Mary visiting with us from Carriacou. My mother has an incredible measure of endurance in spite of her physical challenges and continues active in the Harbour Light ministry in Carriacou, Grenada. Keep your eyes on the Savior! Joyfully Serving Christ, Tony & Martha, Jamie, T.J, Stephanie, Kimberly, Emily, David, Daniel, Curtley, Oullie, and Glendel
