These fingerless mitts are simple and quick, and use approximately 50 grams of worsted weight yarn. The cables on the mitts twist in different directions, one to the right and one to the left for a little added interest. Due to the ribbing used for these mitts, sizing by altering the stitch count isn’t an option. So, for larger or smaller mitts I would suggest either using a different size needle or a different yarn/needle combination all together. Size: Women’s L/Men’s M Materials: o 50 g worsted weight yarn (shown in Cascade 220 superwash) o 5 Size 5 dpns o Waste Yarn/Stitch Holder o 3 stitch markers o Cable needle (optional) Gauge: 5.5 stitches per inch Pattern Notes: Abbreviations: c4b: Slip the first two stitches on to the cable needle and hold to the back of the work, knit the next two stitches, knit the two stitches on the cable needle c4f: Slip the first two stitches onto the cable needle and hold to the front of the work, knit the next two stitches, knit the two stitches on the cable needle m1: Make one stitch m1l: Pick up the left hand leg of the 1st stitch in the 2nd row on your right hand needle (the stitch that was just knit) with your left hand needle, knit through the back loop.

Finishing:
Weave in the ends and fill and holes around the thumb. I have a tutorial on my blog for using the duplicate stitch to fill in the holes created when picking up stitches for the thumb. Tutorial here: http://beautyisntperfect.blogspot.com/2010/12/patch-it-up.html
