President on the 7th August, 1992, and is hereby published for general information:-
THE FOREIGN TRADE
(DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATION) ACT, 1992 No.22 OF 1992
(7th August, 1992)
An Act to provide for the development and regulation of
foreign trade by facilitating imports into, and augmenting exports from India and for matters connected therewith or Incidental thereto.
Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-third Year of the
Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I
PRELIMINARY
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be called the Foreign Trade
(Development and Regulation) Act, 1992.
(2) Sections 11 to 14 shall come into force at once
and the remaining provisions of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th day of June 1992. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:-
