Read Across America (Dr. Seuss Week) at
Dutchtown Primary School the first week of
March. During weekly library lessons,
students got to participate in fun-filled
activities tied to Dr. Seuss books. The
whole school also had the opportunity to
take part in weeklong Dr. Seuss inspired fun.
We had D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and
Read) every day right after morning
announcements. We planned themed dress
up days, too. At the end of the week,
several moms with the “Professional Football
Players Mothers Association” came to read
books aloud to our 5th grade classes.
Eagles of all ages exhibited an abundance
of spirited participation throughout the week.
