The Son Will Rise on the East To Andrew the Prophet Completed January 22, 2010

Then he led me to the gate, the gate facing toward the east; and behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the way of the east. And His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory. And it was like the appearance of the vision which I saw, like the vision which I saw when He came to destroy the city. And the visions were like the vision which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face. And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate facing toward the east. And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. Ezekiel 43:1-5

East is derived from the Greek root ἀνατολή which means “arisen”. And both knowledge and truth have arisen from the East. For many of God’s children have spread to the East. For as God promised to the forefathers, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants.

1

Your descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 28:13-14) And many truths have been enlightened by the philosophies of the East. For philosophy is derived from the Latin roots phil which means “love” and sophia which means “wisdom and understanding”. Thus philosophy is the love of wisdom and understanding. For the philosophers of the East have sought for wisdom and understanding. But the antithesis of wisdom and understanding is ignorance. And many Western philosophers have ignored the philosophies of the East. But “what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. ‘The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist , as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’” (Acts 17:23-28) And in ignorance, the philosophers of the East have denied that Christ is the Son of God. For by the Son descending and dwelling amongst men, we too can be called sons of the living God. “Being then the children of God, we ought not to think

2

that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts 17:2931) And in truth, Eastern philosophies speak of the cycle of rebirth. For as they profess, “to be born here and to die here, to die here and to be born elsewhere, to be born there and to die there, to die there and to be born elsewhere that is the round of existence.” (Buddhist text) And the Son in truth spoke of the cycle of rebirth. For as the Son testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'” (John 3:5-7) Yet the East fails to recognize that Christ has risen from the dead. “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.” (1 Corinthians 15:20-21) And now His firstfruits have risen from the dead. For as the prophecy says, “behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. I will put My Spirit

3

within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it,’ declares the LORD.” (Ezekiel 37:12-14) But the cycle of rebirth shall soon end, for as all men have died, so shall all men be made alive in Christ. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.” (1 Corinthians 15:22-24) And reincarnation is derived from the Latin root incarnationem which means “to become flesh”. And the Word came to earth and would dwell in the flesh. For “the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of But the flesh ultimately grace and truth.” (John 1:14) leads to death. And through Christ’s death in the flesh, now we can live with peace in the Spirit. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:2-6)

4

But although the flesh must die, the spirit can now live forever. And at the last trumpet the trumpet shall sound, and death shall be swallowed for all time. For “we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:

Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-57)

I On Eastern Philosophy To Andrew the Prophet Completed January 25, 2010 Eastern philosophy includes and often incorporates the various philosophies of the East, which include the Chinese, Indian, Iranian, and Japanese philosophies. And Eastern philosophy is founded upon three distinct philosophical traditions: the Chinese, Indian, as well as the Persian philosophies. And although these philosophies lack the Abrahamic heritage of the Judeo-Christian and Islamic philosophies, they do contain many ideologies which yield great truths. For the Truth comes from the Word of God, and it is wrong for any man to claim to know all truths. “For not from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert comes exaltation; but God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.” (Psalms 75:6-7) And one distinct feature of Eastern philosophy is its emphasis on the continuity of the spirit, for spirituality exists in our religious as well as our secular life. For it recognizes that our entire daily life involves our entire relationship with God. For as Christ taught us, we must take up our cross each and every day. For “if anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.” (Luke 9:23-24) For there is no designated time nor place to worship God. For His people were taught to worship God at every

6

time and at every place. For “the first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:2930) And another distinguishing feature of Eastern philosophy is its understanding of reincarnation, the process of one’s soul being transferred following death into rebirth. For literally reincarnation means “to be made into flesh again”. And it is true that all men are born in the flesh, and all men must die in the flesh. And although all men are born and die in the flesh, no man can enter heaven unless he is reborn in the Spirit. For as the disciples were taught, “truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” (John 3:5-7) But few men have chosen to be born again in the Spirit. For "the wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." (John 3:8) For the cost of being born in the Spirit is to die to the flesh. But the reward of dying in the flesh is to be reborn in the Spirit. For as it was foretold of those who were born in the Spirit, “then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image,

7

and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4-6) Thus, those who have died and were born in the Spirit, would be reborn in the Spirit. And they would reign in the heavens with the Son. But those who have worshipped Satan and have taken his mark, they would be condemned in hell. And now that the years are complete and the end draws near, all souls have been reincarnated to face the last judgment. Yet the truth of reincarnation was abolished and declared heresy by the papacy for obvious financial gain. For much of the church’s wealth came from plenary indulgences, the sale of dispensations that would absolve their patrons of their debts in “purgatory”. For the Catholic church invented “purgatory” as a place of “purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven, which is experienced by those who die in God’s grace and friendship, but are still imperfectly purified”. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1030) And the Council of Trent would pronounce an “anathema against those who either declare indulgences to be useless or deny that the Church has the power to grant them.” (Catholic Encyclopedia, vii, pp. 783-4) For as Pope Leo X acknowledged of the papacy's indulgences, “since God has been pleased to give us the Papacy, let us enjoy it.”

8

Another distinguishing feature of Eastern philosophy is the understanding that the individual is an active participant of the universe. In other words, the individual is integrated into the whole universe which is objectively held to be one. Thus, Eastern philosophy interprets the universe subjectively as a participant, rather than objectively as an observer. And we as His servants are commanded to participate with God in the same way. For the Son is One with the Father, as He testified “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30) And He came down to earth as a participant, to perfect our union with God. For as He said, “the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.” (John 17:22-23) And through the Holy Spirit, the unity of the body of Christ is complete. “For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) And although the division of mankind remains great, at the end all of mankind shall be one. For as the prophecy foretells, “behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:34)

II Dharma - the Law To Andrew the Prophet Completed January 29, 2010

The Hindu philosophy has no single founder, and has no single book as a reference for their beliefs. And in fact, the word "Hindu" was not recognized until the 18th century. For "Hindu" was the Persian name used for the Indus River. And the modern term of Hindu refers to its citizens, who live on the Indian subcontinent of the Indus River, and adhere to the Hindu philosophy of life. The Hindu philosophy blends their spiritual and secular life, which includes daily activities such as singing, dancing, and eating. And one prominent feature of Hindu philosophy is the philosophy of Dharma. For as is defined of Dharma, “the word Dharma is derived from the root DHR- to hold- and its etymological meaning is ‘that which holds’ this world, or the people of the world, or the whole creation from the microcosm to the macrocosm. It is the eternal Divine Law of the Lord. The entire creation is held together and sustained by the Allpowerful Law of God. Practice of Dharma, therefore, means recognition of this Law and abidance by it.” (Swami Shivanada) And the Lord gave the Law to His witness to give to the people. For "the LORD said to Moses, 'Come up to Me on the mountain and remain there, and I will give you the stone

11

tablets with the law and the commandment which I have written for their instruction.'" (Exodus 24:12) And the Son would validate the Law and its commandments. For as He testified, "do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." (Matthew 5:17) And the Son would validate the Law, "in everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12) And Dharma refers to that which holds this world and mankind together. For as the Hindu text Atharva Veda describes allegorically of Dharma Prithivim Dharmana dhritam, which means "this world is upheld by Dharma". And it was foretold that this world would be upheld by the Law. "'For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,' says the LORD of hosts, 'so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,' says the LORD of hosts. 'Remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.'" (Malachi 4:1-4) And the Father has upheld the Law through the Son. "Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations." (Isaiah 42:1) And the Son and the Spirit shall uphold the Law at the end. "For truly I

12

say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished." (Matthew 5:18) But Dharma does not condemn nor forsake any man. For Dharma is needed in order to nurture and sustain him. For "Dharma is that which nurtures the subjects and in turn the society." (Mahabharat 12.109.11) And as Moses taught the people of the Law, "the LORD your God will prosper you abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers; if you obey the LORD your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and soul." (Deuteronomy 30:9-10) And the goal of Dharma is to allow for the improvement of mankind. For "the sole aim with which Dharma is advocated is to bring about the evolution of living beings. A doctrine preaches that that which is able to bring about evolution is Dharma." (Mahabharat 12.109.10) And the Law of the Lord allows for the improvement of mankind. For the Law restores men's souls and makes most men wise. For "the law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple." (Psalms 19:7) And the Law allows all men to live. For "if Your law had not been my delight, then I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have revived me." (Psalms 119:92-93) And the Law grants those who obey

13

it great peace. For "those who love Your law have great peace, and nothing causes them to stumble." (Psalms 119:165) For the Law is righteousness and truth. For "your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth." (Psalms 119:142) And it was through the Son that the Law was perfected. "For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17) And it is through Christ that the law of righteousness ends. "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 10:4) And Dharma can be summarized by one word: compassion. For "compassion itself is ultimate Dharma". (Mahabharat 3.373.76) For the Law was not intended to judge man, but was written to teach man of compassion. "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent? But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here. But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A you would not have condemned the innocent." SACRIFICE' (Matthew 12:5-7) And as the young ruler asked of our Lord, 'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?' And He said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, YOUR SOUL, AND YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 22:36-40) And as Christ would teach them on the law of compassion, "in everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and

14

the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12) For it was by the Lord's compassion that He gave us His only Son. And it is through His compassion that His Son shall return. And "'it will come about in that day that I will respond,' declares the LORD. 'I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth, and the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, and they will respond to Jezreel. I will sow her for Myself in the land. I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion, and I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' and they will say, 'You are my God!'" (Hosea 2:21-23)

III Atman - The Spirit To Andrew the Prophet Completed February 26, 2010

The atman is the Hindu philosophical term which means man's "spirit". For atman is at the core of every man, and in translation literally means "I am". For in the Upanishad texts, atman is defined as "tat svam asi", which means "atman is what you are." (Chandogya Upanishad VI.8.4) And its derivation comes from the Sanskirt root ātman which means "breath". And it was through the breath of the Spirit, that the first man was brought to life. "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7) And this creationist concept of atman implies that the individual is a microcosm of the whole. For atman refers to the individual spirit as a microcosm of the universal spirit of Atman. For the term Atman refers to the "universal spirit" of all of creation. And the universal spirit of all of creation is the Spirit of God. For "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." (Genesis 1:1-2) And it is through the Spirit of God that man was given life. For "the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." (Job 33:4) And the Spirit of God dwells in

16

man, while he still has life and breath. "For as the LORD said, 'My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." (Genesis 6:3) Thus, the Spirit is the one who gives us life. And as the Spirit gives the spirit of life, so can the Spirit take away the spirit of life. For "You take away their spirit, they expire and return to their dust. You send forth Your Spirit, they are created". (Psalms 104:29-30) But our atman exists in opposition with our ego (ahamkar), which is produced by our own selfish pride. And this dual nature of our self, atman and ahamkar, in error gives way to our pride. For it is our pride that separate us from oneness with the Spirit. For "there are two selves, the separate ego and the indivisible Atman. When one rises above I, me and mine, the Atman reveals itself as the real Self." (Katha Upanishad) For our ego is separated from God by the boastful pride of our flesh. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world." (1 John 2:16) And man was first separated from God by wanting to be like God. For as "the serpent said to the woman, 'You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'" (Genesis 3:4-5) And man's pride to this day continues to damn him. For as it was foretold of man's sinful pride, "your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery." (Deuteronomy 8:14) And no man's ego shall be beholden, for only One shall be

17

exalted on that day. For "the pride of man will be humbled and the loftiness of men will be abased; and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day." (Isaiah 2:17) And through this struggle of atman versus ego, the atman remains elusive and hidden. "For the self cannot be known through the study of scriptures, nor through the intellect, nor through hearing learned discourses. It can be chosen only by those whom the Self chooses." (Katha Upanishad) And it was through the choice of Christ, that His Elect would be chosen. For as he said "you did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you." (John 15:16) For the Spirit was revealed by the Light. "The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (John 1:2-4) For as the Son confirmed "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12) And it is through the Holy Spirit that we are now One with God.. For "you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." (Romans 8:9-11) And it is only by denying our pride, and following

Christ's path that our atman can be known. For as He said, "if anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16:24-26) And now is the time that all men have been called. And "now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

IV Brahman - the Father To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 4, 2010

And all things come from and return to the Father. And the Hindu philosophical term is that all things come from Brahman, the One who creates and sustains all things. And the Father is the Creator who created all things. And "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) And the Father is the One who created man in His own image. "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27) And the Father is the One who sustains our souls. For "behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul." (Psalms 54:4) And Brahman is derived from the Sanskirt root brahma which means "prayer". And the Son taught us how to pray to the Father. As "He said to them, 'When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." (Luke 11:24) And as it was prophesied, His kingdom shall be a place of prayer for all people. "Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, to minister to Him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants, everyone who keeps from profaning the sabbath and holds fast My covenant; even

20

those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples." (Isaiah 56:6-7) And Brahman is infinite and beyond all comprehension. For "that supreme Brahman is infinite, and this conditioned Brahman is infinite. The infinite proceeds from infinite. Then through knowledge, realizing the infinitude of the infinite, it remains as infinite alone." (Mundaka Upanishad) And the power of the Father is infinite. For "He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite." (Psalms 147:4-5) And the heavens and the earth are ruled by His infinite power. For "the pillars of heaven tremble and are amazed at His rebuke. He quieted the sea with His power, and by His understanding He shattered Rahab. By His breath the heavens are cleared; His hand has pierced the fleeing serpent. Behold, these are the fringes of His ways; and how faint a word we hear of Him! But His mighty thunder, who can understand?" (Job 26:11-14) And the Father gave us His Son that we may know of His infinite love. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) And the derivative of Brahman is BRH- which means "to create". And Brahman created all things in the past, present, and future. For "I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities; but Me no one

21

knows." (Bhagavad Gita 7:26) And at the beginning, the Father created all things. For "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) And in the present, the Father sustains all things. For "do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable." (Isaiah 40:28) And at the end, the Father shall reveal all things that will be. For "the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets." (Revelation 10:5-7) And Brahman is silent for His name means silence. For as the student inquired of his master "'Sir,' said a student to his master, 'teach me the nature of Brahman.' The master did not reply. When he was asked a second and a third time, he replied: 'I teach you, but you do not listen. His name is silence.'" (Samkara Upanishad) And as Moses warned the people, "be silent and listen, O Israel! This day you have become a people for the LORD your God. You shall therefore obey the LORD your God, and do His commandments and His statutes which I command you today." (Deuteronomy 27:9-10) And His Son was sacrificed in silence for our sins. "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth. In His humiliation His

22

justice was taken away, and who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth." (Acts 8:32-33) And the day draws near when all men shall be silent. "Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is near, for the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests." (Zephaniah 1:7) And Brahman is complete and whole in itself. For "in the beginning this world was only Brahman, and it knew only itself thinking: 'I am Brahman.' As a result it became the Whole." (Brhadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.10) And in the beginning, there was only God. For "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." (John 1:1-3) And as God Himself would confirm, His name is complete. For "I am who I am". For as "Moses said to God, 'Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?' God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, 'Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.''" (Exodus 3:13-14) And now we profess that God Himself is the Creator of all. "Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." (Psalms 100:3)

V Satya - The Son is Truth To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 7, 2010

Truth alone triumphs, not untruth. The path of truth leads to Godliness. Sages having their desires fulfilled, ascend to the realm of the supreme treasure of truth. Mundaka Upwanishad III.1.6

Satya is the Hindu philosophical term which means "truth". For as it is defined in the Sanskrit verse, sate hitam satyam, which means "satya is the way to ultimate truth". And the Son is the way to ultimate truth. For the Son is the Word, and the Word is the Truth. For "the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth... For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." (John 1:14-18) And as the Son testified, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6) For the Son has sanctified His disciples in truth, as He asked of the Father, "sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For

24

their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth." (John 17:17-19) And on that day His city shall be the City of Truth. "Thus says the LORD, 'I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.'" (Zechariah 8:3) And satya is derived from the root word sat which means "to exist for eternity". And the Word of God existed at the beginning. For "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." (John 1:1-2) And the Son shall reign on His throne forever. For "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions." (Hebrews 1:8-10) For His existence from the beginning remains always the same. "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will fold them up, and they will be changed." (Hebrews 1:10-11) And the Son shall be the same for all of eternity. "But You are the same, and Your years will not fail." (Hebrews 1:10-12) And by believing in the Son, we also shall inherit eternal life. For "he who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:3)

25

And satya means the sun which is light. "Now, that which is Satya is the sun—the being who dwells in yonder orb and the being who is in the right eye. These two rest on each other." (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad I.5.2) And God gave mankind the orb of the sun, so that he would have light. "Then God said, “Let great lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them mark off the seasons, days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth. And that is what happened. God made two great lights, the sun and the moon—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:14-18) And the Father sent us the Son and He was the Light. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." (John 3:17-21) And Satya is the truth in words, as Dharma is the truth in deed. For as the Hindu verse says, satyamiti yathasastrarthata sa eva anusthiyamanah dharmanama bhavati, which means

26

"satya is truth in words and dharma is truth in deed." (Taithriya Upanishad) And the Son came as the truth in Word to fulfill the Law in deed. For as the Word said, "do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished." (Matthew 5:17-18) And Dharma instructs that our deeds should be done through compassion. And as the Son instructed us of our deeds, "in everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12) But most importantly satya means "near to God". For the Sanskirt verse says sate hitam satyam, which means "that which brings you nearer to God is satya". And the priests brought men closer to God, for only they were allowed to come near the covenant. "So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons that they may keep their priesthood, but the layman who comes near shall be put to death." (Numbers 3:10) And through the priesthood of Christ, all men may draw closer to God. For "Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing, but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:22-25)

27

And this verse is commonly interpreted as "satya is the love which brings you nearer to God". For it is through the sacrificial love of the Son, that we have been brought closer to God. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:16-17) For God so loved the world, that He was sacrificed as a propitiation for our sins. And "by this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:9-10) And through His love, those who were far may now draw near. For "now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." (Ephesians 2:13) And by His example, the Son taught all men how to love. "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you." (John 15:12) And by His servitude and love, He taught us a greater love. For "you have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:4345) And by His sacrificial love on the cross, He taught us the greatest love of all. For "greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)

28

Greater love has no one than this, that One lay down His life for His enemies.

VI Karma - An Image in the Mirror To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 21, 2010

Karma is the classic Hindu philosophical understanding that every component of our life is a fair and equitable consequence of our own moral choices. Therefore, it expounds on the law that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And this law of Karma is consistent with the Newtonian law of physics which we have emboldened. For as it states, "for every action has a reaction equal in magnitude and opposite in direction". (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, Sir Isaac Newton's Third Law of Motion) And this ideology is succinctly summarized by the Hindu verse, "God does not make one suffer for no reason nor does He make one happy for no reason. God is very fair and gives you exactly what you deserve." (Bhagavad Gita) And Judeo Christianity upholds this same ideology of justice, for "a just balance and scales belong to the LORD; all the weights of the bag are His concern." (Proverbs 16:11) And karma was established from the beginning, for in the beginning all things were zeroed and balanced. For "in the beginning was only Being, One without a second. Out of himself he brought forth the cosmos. And entered into everything in it. There is nothing that does not come from him. Of everything he is the inmost Self. He is the truth; he is the Self supreme." (Chandogya Upanishad) And karma shall

30

be enforced at the end. For at the end, all things shall be zeroed and balanced. "See my sovereign technique: creatures both in me and not in me. Supporting beings, my person brings beings to life, without living in them. I am omnipresent as the storm wind which resides in space. All beings exist in me. Remember that. All creatures enter into my nature at the end of an eon". (Bhagavad Gita) For the end was established when the beginning began. For as God disclosed, "I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, 'My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'" (Isaiah 46:9-10) And karma is one. Yet it is the division of one into two. "Two from one! This is the root of suffering. Only perceive that I am one without two, pure awareness, pure joy, and all the world is false. There is no other remedy!" (Ashtavakra Gita) For the division first began in the Garden. For it was from the division of man into two, that mankind's separation first began. For the first man was divided into Adam and Eve, and mankind was divided into male and female. For knowledge was divided into good and evil, and man's existence was divided into life and death. For "the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.' Then the LORD God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.' The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had

31

taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." (Genesis 2:16-23) And mankind has struggled to make two into one. For man has struggled to make one flesh. For "have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." (Matthew 19:4-6) And man has struggled to form one heart and one spirit. "For I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God." (Ezekiel 11:19-20) And karma is derived from the Sanskrit root karman which means "action" or "deed". For karma is a result of our actions and deeds. For the disciples were reminded to prepare their minds for action. "Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:13) And the disciples perfected their faith through their deeds. For "faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, 'You have faith; I have deeds.' Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do." (James 2:17-18) But the people

32

dealt with God treacherously through their actions. For the people would rebel with treacherous deeds. For "they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God and did not keep His testimonies, but turned back and acted treacherously like their fathers; they turned aside like a treacherous bow." (Psalms 78:56-57) Thus each man shall be judged by his actions and deeds. For "God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man, for a time for every matter and for every deed is there." (Ecclesiastes 3:17) And what is karma, but God's just response to our actions. And on that day, the Lord shall respond justly to every man's deeds. "'It will come about in that day that I will respond,' declares the LORD. 'I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth, and the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, and they will respond to Jezreel." (Hosea 2:21-22) And man's sinfulness shall be met with great retribution. For "vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the impending things are hastening upon them." (Deuteronomy 32:35) But man's righteous actions shall be rewarded with honor and glory. For "the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name which the mouth of the LORD will designate. You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God." (Isaiah 62:2-3) For this world is an image of God, who is One and complete. For when karma is complete, the reflection and its source shall be one. For "an object has a reflection: When looking we see

33

two images, yet there is only one thing. Likewise, this world is a reflection of the Supreme Lord. We may see two, yet only One exists." (Jnaneshwar) For man was created in the image of God. For "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27) And when we look at God and mankind, we may see two, yet there is just One. For we are the reflection of God. And at the end, God and mankind shall be One. "Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever." (Revelation 22:1-5)

34

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:12

VII Reincarnation - The Cycle of Life To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 23, 2010

Reincarnation, the recurring cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, is a recurrent theme of Hindu philosophy. And reincarnation is the concept that our bodies are temporal, but our souls endure forever. For our physical bodies are like garments which are worn-out over time. And after time "these worn-out garments are shed by the body. Worn-out bodies are shed by the dweller within the body. New bodies are donned by the dweller, like garments." (Bhagavad Gita) And it was the first man and woman who donned garments of skin. For "the LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them." (Genesis 3:21) But at the end man's skin wears out like a garment. And at the end, even the earth will roll up like a garment. "Lift up your eyes to the sky, then look to the earth beneath; for the sky will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants will die in like manner." (Isaiah 51:6) Yet we were taught not to cling to these garments, but to fear for the fate of our souls. "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28)

36

And the Hindu term for reincarnation is samsara, which is suffering that is due to one's sins. And though man in his ignorance has been tempted by the flesh, his soul remains rooted in God. For "the tree of eternity has its roots in the sky, and its branches reach down to earth. It is God; it is the immortal soul. The whole universe comes from God; his energy burns like fire, and his power reverberates like thunder, in every part of the universe. In honor of God the sun shines, the clouds rain, and the winds blow. Death itself goes about its business in fear of God." (Katha Upanishad) And as the Father claimed of men's souls, "behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine". (Ezekiel 18:4) But each man must suffer as a consequence of one's sins. For "the soul who sins shall die." (Ezekiel 18:5) For the only way to freedom is to do what is lawful and right. For "if a man is just and does what is lawful and right; if he has not eaten on the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, nor defiled his neighbor's wife, nor approached a woman during her impurity; if he has not oppressed anyone, but has restored to the debtor his pledge; has robbed no one by violence, but has given his bread to the hungry and covered the naked with clothing; if he has not exacted usury nor taken any increase, but has withdrawn his hand from iniquity and executed true judgment between man and man; if he has walked in My statutes and kept My judgments faithfully -- He is just; He shall surely live!' Says the Lord GOD." (Ezekiel 18:6-9) But every man since Adam has died. For each man's sins have sentenced him to death. For "if he begets a son who is a

37

robber or a shedder of blood, who does any of these things and does none of those duties, but has eaten on the mountains or defiled his neighbor's wife; if he has oppressed the poor and needy, robbed by violence, not restored the pledge, lifted his eyes to the idols, or committed abomination; if he has exacted usury or taken increase-- shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, he shall surely die". (Ezekiel 18:10-13) And the path of our failures leads to death and rebirth. But the "path to eternal life" frees us from the pain of rebirth. Thus by "banishing the folly of rebirth and thus beholding perfection's true Being - that is wisdom." (Tirukkural 36:358) But few men have been freed from the cycle of rebirth. For "never does a man attain freedom by his own skill". (Paushkara Agama) For the path to freedom was established by the Father. "Thus says the LORD, 'Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'" (Jeremiah 6:16) And the path to eternal life was revealed by the Son. For as He said, "enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14) And the path to eternal life is granted through the Spirit. For the grace of the Spirit grants us freedom and rest. For "as the cattle which go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So You led Your people, to make for Yourself a glorious name." (Isaiah 63:14)

38

But the flesh is temporary, and our bodies are temples which are limited by time. For the temple is a reminder of God's path to eternal life. For "we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18) And the first temple was established by the Father. "Your God has commanded your strength; show Yourself strong, O God, who have acted on our behalf. Because of Your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring gifts to You." (Psalms 68:28-29) And the second temple was established by the sacrifice of the Son. For "Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said, 'It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?' But He was speaking of the temple of His body. So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken." (John 2:19-22) And the third temple is being built by the Spirit. For we as His people are the temple of the Spirit, "or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) And by following His path, the Lord has granted His servants freedom and rest. But the time of rest has ended, before the Son of Man returns. For "whenever there is decay of righteousness... and there is exaltation of unrighteousness, then I Myself come forth... for the destruction of evil-doers, for the sake of firmly establishing righteousness, I am born

39

from age to age." (Bhagavad Gita) And as the prophecy foretold, His people have arisen from their graves for the last judgment. "Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it," declares the LORD.' " (Ezekiel 37:12-14) And "many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." (Daniel 12:2-4) Thus the truth of samsara is the answer to time's final mystery. For when time comes to an end, the cycle of reincarnation shall come to an end. And at the last battle, Death shall be vanquished, and the cycle of reincarnation shall end. Then the robe of eternal life shall awaken for all men in victory. "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.

40

Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 1 Corinthians 15:51-55

For time as at the beginning shall end. And the circle of God's temple shall be One once again. And "I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." (Revelation 21:22)

VIII Samsara is Suffering and Death To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 29,2010

Samsara is the Hindu word for reincarnation, but it also pertains to the sufferings that occur in everyday life. For samsara is determined by one's karma, and each man's samsara is transferred from one life into the next. Yet many through suicide have tried to escape their just recompense, and have not experienced the true suffering of death. But at the end, suffering and death shall retain its power over all men. For "the whole universe comes from God; his energy burns like fire, and his power reverberates like thunder, in every part of the universe. In honor of God the sun shines, the clouds rain, and the winds blow. Death itself goes about its business in fear of God." (Katha Upanishad) And death is a fair and just recompense, for all men must suffer through death. And as it was promised, even those who have cheated death, must suffer through its pain. For "the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom." (Matthew 16:27-28) And no longer will man be able to cheat death. For as it was prophesied, "then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the

42

scorpions of the earth have power. They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them." (Revelation 9:3-6) And samsara literally means "to wander". For men have wandered aimlessly from one life into the next. And God has rejected those who have wandered from His commands. For "You have rejected all those who wander from Your statutes, for their deceitfulness is useless." (Psalms 119:118) And it was due to Israel's deceit that God made them wander in the desert for forty years. "So the LORD'S anger burned against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the entire generation of those who had done evil in the sight of the LORD was destroyed. Now behold, you have risen up in your fathers' place, a brood of sinful men, to add still more to the burning anger of the LORD against Israel. For if you turn away from following Him, He will once more abandon them in the wilderness, and you will destroy all these people." (Numbers 32:13-15) And it is due to man's sins that God makes them wander. For "He deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth's people and makes them wander in a pathless waste. They grope in darkness with no light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man." (Job 12:24-25) But the path to eternal life is there for those who choose to walk in His ways. For "a highway will be there, a roadway, and it will

43

be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it." (Isaiah 35:8) And samsara is derived from the Sanskirt root which means "to flow". And the winepress once flowed with the Son of Man's blood. And "one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: 'Not one of his bones will be broken,' and, as another scripture says, 'They will look on the one they have pierced.' " (John 19:34-37) And as it was prophesied, the winepress shall flow when the Son returns. For "I will send a plague against you and make blood flow in your streets. Your people will fall dead. People with swords will attack you from every side. Then they will know that I am the LORD." (Ezekiel 28:23) But samsara shall bring all men back to the Father. For the water from the Father sustained mankind from the beginning. "Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers." (Genesis 2:10) And the Father caused water to flow in the desert. For "He opened the rock and water flowed out; it ran in the dry places like a river." (Psalms 105:41) And the water shall flow from the Temple of God, and it shall be healing for all of the nations. "By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month

44

because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing." (Ezekiel 47:12)

VIII Moksha - The Way To Andrew the Prophet Completed March 31, 2010

Moksha is the Hindu term which refers to liberation from the cycle of samsara. And it is through many lifetimes, that men have been bound to this earth. But "through constant efforts over many lifetimes, a person becomes purified of all selfish desires and attains the supreme goal of life." (Bhagavad Gita) For it is the selfish desires of the flesh, which imprison most men on this earth. For "if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy." (James 3:14-17) And it is through the selfless example of Christ, that we learn to deny our selfish ways. "We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us

46

please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, 'The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.'" (Romans 15:1-3) And every selfless act originates from God. For "every selfless act...is born from Brahman, the eternal, infinite Godhead. He is present in every act of service." (Bhagavad Gita) For it was the selfless act of the Father, that caused Him to send us His only Son. And "although He existed in the form of God, He did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." (Philippians 2:6-9) And moksha is derived from the Sanskrit root mukti which means "to release". And it is through the mercy of God, that men are released from the cycle of death. And it was after the seventh year of the Jubilee, that the people were released from their debts. "At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his

47

neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD'S release." (Deuteronomy 15:1-2) And it is after the seventh year of the prophecy, that all men shall be released from the cycle of death. "This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD. For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the LORD viewed the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death, to declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem, when the peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD." (Psalms 102:18-22) For all men deserve the sentence of death. But the Son who had committed no sin, did not deserve the sentence of death. Yet when Pontius Pilate passed judgment over Christ, he asked the people, "but you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?" Then they all cried again, saying, "Not this Man, but Barabbas!"" (John 18:39-40) "Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified." (Matthew 27:26)

48

And it was through the selfless act of His death on the cross, that His people were released from the cycle of death. For "inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15) And now we are released from the Law which has bound us. "For now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter." (Romans 7:6) Yet despite knowing the truth, only one of a hundred would follow His Way. For "from the heart there radiate a hundred and one vital tracks. One of them rises to the crown of the head. This way leads to immortality, the others to death." (Katha Upanishad) And as the Son spoke of the Way to eternal life, "what man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep

49

which was lost!' I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:4-7) Thus the Truth is the Way to eternal life. For as Christ said of the Way, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:1-6)

IX The Hindu Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 2, 2010

Hindus consider this period of time to be the end of the Kali Yuga or the "Dark Ages". And in this forsaken age, mankind has degenerated and has fallen away from God. For as was foretold "in the Kali Yuga, wealth alone will be the deciding factor of nobility. And brute force will be the only standard or deciding what is righteous or just. In that age, people will be greedy. They will take to wicked behavior. They will be merciless, indulge in hostilities without any cause, unfortunate, extremely covetous for wealth and women. And in the Kali Yuga, men will abandon their parents, brothers, friends, and relatives. They will occupy high seats and will pretend to preach religion. And mortal beings will become dull-minded, unlucky, voracious, destitute of wealth yet voluptuous, and women, wanton and unchaste." (Puranas) And the disciples prophesied of the coming of this age. For "it is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure! Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and put to death the righteous man; he does not

51

resist you." (James 5:3-6) "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power." (2 Timothy 3:1-5) And when evil and injustice rule, God shall return to establish His righteousness upon the land. For "whenever there is decay of righteousness... and there is exaltation of unrighteousness, then I Myself come forth... for the destruction of evil-doers, for the sake of firmly establishing righteousness, I am born from age to age." (Bhagavad Gita) And the Son shall execute His righteousness on the land. For " 'behold, days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the LORD is our righteousness.' " (Jeremiah 33:14-16) And at His return, the Lord shall mount His white horse, and He shall execute justice throughout the land. For as the Hindu prophecy foretold:

52

The Lord of the universe, will mount His swift white horse Devadatta and, sword in hand, travel over the earth exhibiting His eight mystic opulences and eight special qualities of Godhead. Displaying His unequaled effulgence and riding with great speed, He will kill by the millions those thieves who have dared dress as kings. Bhagavata Purana And as the book of Revelation also foretold, the Son of Man shall mount His white horse and execute justice on those who have forsaken His name. Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Revelation 19:11-16 And the Son shall destroy those who have forsaken Him. And "by his irresistible might he will destroy the barbarians and thieves, and all whose minds are devoted to iniquity. He will then re-establish righteousness upon earth; and the minds of those who live at the end of the Kali age shall be awakened, and shall be as pellucid as crystal. The men who are thus

53

changed by virtue of that peculiar time shall be as the seeds of human beings, and shall give birth to a race who shall follow the laws of the Krita age, the Age of Purity.” (Vishnu Purana) "Therefore the Lord GOD of hosts, The Mighty One of Israel, declares, "Ah, I will be relieved of My adversaries and avenge Myself on My foes. I will also turn My hand against you, and will smelt away your dross as with lye and will remove all your alloy. Then I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning; after that you will be called the city of righteousness, a faithful city. Zion will be redeemed with justice and her repentant ones with righteousness. " (Isaiah 1:24-27)

X Life is Suffering To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 3, 2010

Buddhism was founded by the philosopher Siddhartha Gautama, also known as Buddha. Buddha means the "one who is awakened or enlightened", for it was through meditation that Gautama became awakened and enlightened. Gautama was born into royalty in Nepal, and thus was sheltered from the life of the common man. However when he breached the palace walls, he was shocked to see the cruel suffering of the common man. As a result, devoted the duration of his life to seeking enlightenment or eternal awakening. And upon his awakening, Gautama discovered dhamma which is the truth. And through enlightenment, he would teach his disciples the "four noble truths". The first of the noble truths is that life is suffering. For "this is the noble truth of suffering: birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering; sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief and despair are suffering; union with what is displeasing is suffering; separation from what is pleasing is suffering; not to get what one wants is suffering; in brief, the five aggregates subject to clinging are suffering." (Gautama Siddhartha) Thus all men are subject to suffering from birth. "For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of

55

God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now." (Romans 8:20-22) And even the Son was subject to great suffering. "But the things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled." (Acts 3:18) And the second noble truth is that suffering comes from the attachment to desire. For "there is the origin of suffering, which is attachment to desire. Desire should be let go of. Desire has been let go of." (Gautama Siddhartha) For the first murder occurred when Cain failed to control his desires. For the Lord had warned "Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? "If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." (Genesis 4:6-7) For all sinful desires are wrought through the desires of Satan. For as Christ castigated the Pharisees, "you are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him." (John 8:44) And the third noble truth is that there will be a cessation of suffering. For "there is the cessation of suffering. The cessation of suffering should be realized. The cessation of suffering has been realized." (Gautama Siddhartha) For it is through Christ's sacrifice, that the cessation of all sufferings can be realized. "For according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Therefore it was necessary

56

for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own. Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." (Hebrews 9:22-27) And at the end of the ages, all suffering shall come to an end. And the fourth noble truth is that there is a path that leads out of suffering. For "this is the noble truth of the way leading to the cessation of suffering: it is the Noble Eightfold Path; that is, right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration." (Gautama Siddhartha) Thus the path out of suffering is the right Way. And as Christ said of the Way, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" (John 14:6) And at the end there shall be no more suffering. "For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help." (Psalms 22:24) And when the seventh element of time is destroyed, all suffering and death shall end. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed

57

away." Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."" (Revelation 21:4-5)

58

XI The Right Way To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 4, 2010

Siddhartha Gautama laid out the Noble Eightfold Path which leads to the end of suffering. For it encompasses the wisdom of moderation, which is exercised through self-discipline and leads to the end of reincarnation. And this path is the "Noble Eightfold Path, that is to say: the right view, right intent, right speech, right action, right living, right effort, right mindfulness, right contemplation." (Siddhartha Gautama) And Solomon taught of the right path. For as he spoke of God's words of wisdom, "hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths." (Proverbs 4:10-11) And the first noble path is to have the right view, which is to see things as they truly are. And that view is to understand the temporal nature of the flesh. For His disciples were taught to view the eternal out of the temporal. For "before the world began, God planned that Christ Jesus would show us God's kindness. Now with the coming of our Savior Christ Jesus, he has revealed it. Christ has destroyed death, and through the Good News he has brought eternal life into full view." (2 Timothy 1:9-10) And the second noble path is to have the right intent, which is to understand the motive which controls our actions. And this

59

entails the renunciation of desires, the suppression of anger, and the avoidance of cruelty. For the Word of the Lord knows our every intent and desire. "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." (Hebrews 4:12-13) And the third noble truth is to have the right speech, for the wrong words can cause great harm and destruction. Thus the right speech entails abstaining from false words, slanderous speech, and idle talk. For the Lord loves speech that is gracious, but hates words that are deceitful. For "he who loves purity of heart and whose speech is gracious, the king is his friend. The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, but He overthrows the words of the treacherous man." (Proverbs 22:11-12) And the fourth noble truth is to have the right action, which entails utilizing our body righteously through our mind. And the right action entails restraining from harm, mitigating thievery, and avoiding sexual misconduct. For we all shall be judged by our actions. And "this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous." (1 John 3: 11-12)

60

And the fifth noble truth is to have the right living, which means to live with purity. And purity is attained by living according to God's word. And "how can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." (Psalms 119:9) And by living according to God's word, the Spirit of God dwells in us. "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." (Romans 8:11) And the sixth noble truth is to have the right effort, which means that through our actions we perform great works. For God's work entails great effort. "For the dream comes through much effort." (Ecclesiastes 5:3) And Christ instructed us to make every effort to follow His path. "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'" (Luke 13:24-25) And the seventh noble truth is the right mindfulness, which is to see and understand things as they truly are. For mindfulness entails perceiving and conceptualizing all things in truth. Thus we strive to acquire the mind of the prudent and wise. For "the mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge." (Proverbs 18:15) And our mind perceives the things of the Spirit. "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God;

61

for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:6-8) And by the right mindfulness, we are one mind in Christ. "For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:16) And the eighth noble truth is the right contemplation, which is the ability to focus our mind towards one goal. And the right contemplation comes through meditation. For God's people were instructed to meditate on the Law. For "this Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8) And we are instructed to contemplate on God's statutes that we may walk in His ways. "I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word." (Psalms 119:1516)

62

Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?
Isaiah 40:14

XII The Precepts - The Law To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 5, 2010

The Five Precepts are a condensed form of Buddhist ethical standards. And these Five Precepts are personal commitments to abstain from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, and intoxication. Thus a precept is considered to be a great moral virtue. For as it is summarized:

Not to do any evil, To cultivate good, To purify one's mind, This is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Dhammapada

And since the beginning of time, the righteous man has sought for good over evil. For from its knowledge and instruction, man would hope to find eternal life. For in the Garden, man was driven from the tree of eternal life. As it is written "the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live

64

forever"— therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life." (Genesis 3:22-24) Thus the way to eternal life has been guarded. But Christ came down to earth to show as the way to eternal life. For His love and sacrifice gives us victory of good over evil. And through His propitiation and our sanctification, we are made pure. "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." (1 John 3:2-3) And the first precept states, "I undertake the precept to refrain from destroying living creatures." (Dhamma) For God has created every living creature on this earth. And "God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:21-22) And God commands man to care for His creatures. For "God blessed man; and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:28) And God has commanded man to use its fruit wisely in order

65

to sustain him. "Then God said, 'Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to everything that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food"; and it was so.'" (Genesis 1:29-30) And the second precept states "I undertake the precept to refrain from taking that which is not given." (Dhamma) And the seventh commandment states, "You shall not steal." (Exodus 20:15) And we are commanded not only to refrain from stealing, but to provide for those in need. For "He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need." (Ephesus 4:28) And the third precept states "I undertake the precept to refrain from sexual misconduct." (Dhamma) And the sixth commandment states "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14) And the ninth commandment furthermore states, "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife." (Deuteronomy 5:21 ) For adultery easily takes seed in the heart of man. For "you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:27-28) And adultery takes fruit in the loins of our body. Thus "flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his

66

own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:1820) And the fourth precept states, "I undertake the precept to refrain from incorrect speech." (Dhamma) And the eighth commandment states, "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." (Exodus 20:16) For false words condemn a man, but the truth shall speak forever. For "a false witness will perish, but the man who listens to the truth will speak forever." (Proverbs 21:28) And a true citizen of Zion speaks with righteousness and truth. For "He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend." (Psalms 15:2-3) And the remnant of Israel shall speak only truth. For "the remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid." (Zephaniah 3:13) And the fifth precept states, "I undertake the precept to refrain from intoxicating drinks and drugs which lead to carelessness." (Dhamma) For as the proverbs say of strong drink, "wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise." (Proverbs 20:1) For we are taught not to be filled with the spirit of wine, but to be filled with the Spirit of God. "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit."

67

(Ephesians 5:18) And those who drunk will be subject to God's wrath. "For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:7-9)

XIII Compassion - The Two Brothers To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 6, 2010 The Buddhist philosophy teaches that wisdom is perfected through compassion, which involves two opposite sides: the "giver" and the "receiver". And as Guatama said of the giver, "if you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path." (Siddhartha Gautama) And as the Son said of the receiver, "it is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:1213) And compassion is the duality of wisdom and mindfulness. For "wisdom is the light by day and right mindfulness is the protection by night." (Siddhartha Gautama) And wisdom comes from the Father, for it is the knowledge and understanding of His precepts. "For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." (Proverbs 2:6) Yet despite its great knowledge and blessing, how easily one forgets "the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides. Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity." (Job 11:6)
For on the other hand, mindfulness is "the ability to focus on one's mind while putting aside greed and distress in reference to this world." (Digha Nikaya) And mindfulness comes from the Son, for as we know Christ is the Mind of God.

69

(Addendum 3: The Mind of Christ) And the mindful psalmist remembers all the mercies that God has given him. For "He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: Jehovah is gracious and merciful. He hath given food unto them that fear him: He will ever be mindful of his covenant." (Psalms 111:45) But when man is not mindful of the Lord's many mercies, calamity is sure to follow. "Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow." (Isaiah 17:10-11) And compassion was defined by Gautama as the desire for others to be free from suffering. For the Buddhist term for compassion is bodhicitta. And "bodhi" is the Sanskrit root for enlightenment and "citta" is the Sanskrit root for mind. Thus bodhicitta is defined as the enlightenment of the mind. And through the enlightenment of our mind, our compassion desires to ease the sufferings of all men.

For as an enthusiastic student asks his teacher: "Master, what can I do to help all the suffering beings in this world? The teacher answers: "Indeed, what can you do?" Buddhist Proverb

70

And Christ through His enlightenment taught us how to bestow this compassion upon others. And He taught this through the parable of two brothers: For a certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." ' And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said

71

to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry. Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.' But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, 'Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.' And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.' Luke 15:11-32

72

For the Father has bestowed His compassion on us as the "younger son". For as the Father said, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." (Romans 9:15-16) And now we must be mindful of being the first to receive the Lord's mercy and compassion. For as the Lord taught us, "I desire compassion and not sacrifice". And just as God bestowed compassion on us, so must we bestow compassion on others. For now we as the "older son" have inherited God's kingdom. And as His "older son", we are appointed to be priests of compassion. "For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness." (Hebrews 5:1-2) And by our compassion we can warn our brothers of the fire to come. "For on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh." (Jude 1:22-23) And just as the Lord had compassion on us, so should we have compassion on those left behind. "So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you." (Colossians 3:12-13)

XIV Nirvana - Without Death To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 7, 2010

Nirvana is the state of being free from all suffering and death. For nirvana is derived from the Pali roots ni- which means "without" and vana which means "to smell". Thus the meaning of nirvana is to be "without the smell of death". And the stench of death first began in the Garden, for from the tree of knowledge all men would die. For as the Father said, "from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die." (Genesis 2:17) But through the sacrifice of Christ, we pass through death into eternal life. For as He said, "truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." (John 5:24) And no longer do we have the smell of death, but the fragrance of life. "For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?" (2 Corinthians 2:15-17) And at the end of all things, the stench of death shall be destroyed. "Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:24-26)

74

And nirvana ends the cycle of samsara. For samsara is the cycle of suffering due to the ignorance of truth. And nirvana is truth for as it says, "the dustless and stainless Eye of Truth has arisen. He has seen Truth, has attained Truth, has known Truth, has penetrated into Truth, has crossed over doubt, is without wavering. Thus with right wisdom he sees it as it is ... The Absolute Truth is Nirvana, which is Reality." (Siddhartha Gautama) And it is the Reality of God's words which are Absolute Truth. For "the sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting." (Psalms 119:160) For as we know, the Son is the Word, and the Word is Truth. For "the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) And the Reality of Christ is the Absolute Truth. "For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17) And nirvana completes all things and leaves nothing behind. For “someone who has set out in the vehicle of a Bodhisattva should decide that 'I must lead all the beings to nirvana, into that realm of nirvana which leaves nothing behind'. What is this realm of nirvana which leaves nothing behind?” (Siddhartha Gautama) But in order to complete all things and leave nothing behind, all wrongs must be righted. And to complete all things and leave nothing behind, this earth must be destroyed. "For all the earth will be devoured in the fire of His jealousy, for He will make a complete end, indeed a terrifying one, of all the inhabitants of the earth." (Zephaniah 1:18) And we as His people look for new heavens and a new

75

earth in which all things are complete. "For according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells." (2 Peter 3:13) And the former things will not be remembered, then all shall be complete. "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing and her people for gladness. I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; and there will no longer be heard in her the voice of weeping and the sound of crying." (Isaiah 65:17-19) And when all things are complete, not one person shall be left behind. "For just as the new heavens and the new earth which I make will endure before Me," declares the LORD, "So your offspring and your name will endure. And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from sabbath to sabbath, all mankind will come to bow down before Me," says the LORD." (Isaiah 66:22-23)

XV Kalachakra - The Final Cycle of Time To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 9, 2010

The word Kalachakra means "cycles or wheels of time". And the Kalachakra Laghuntantra is a Buddhist text which expounds on the three cycles of time: external, internal, and alternative. External cycles are the historical and astronomical cycles that the earth and the universe pass through. And internal cycles are the physiological and spiritual cycles that all living beings pass through. And the alternative cycles are the meditative means for gaining liberation from these two cycles. For as Gautama said of time, "there is only one time when it is essential to awaken. That time is now." (Siddhartha Gautama) And the first section of the Kalachakra Tantra discourses on the "outer cycle" of this physical realm. For the outer cycle pertains to the vessel of this universe, which supports all living beings. And more specifically this cycle involves the planets and their cosmological cycles. For it was God the Creator who began the cycle of time, by putting the sun and the planets in motion. For "God said, 'Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth'; and it was so. God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the

77

expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:14-18) And the middle section of the Kalachakra Tantra pertains to the "inner cycle" of all living beings. And the inner cycle is of greater importance, for the outer cycle is just an image of the inner cycle of our being. For man was created in the image of the God, and the earth was created so that man could rule over it. For "God said, 'let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:26) And the inner sanctuary of our heart is heard by the Father. For as the Son taught us, "but you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." (Matthew 6:6) And it is our inner being which the Father can see. For as the Son reproved the Pharisees, "now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter; but inside of you, you are full of robbery and wickedness. You foolish ones, did not He who made the outside make the inside also?" (Luke 11:39-40) And the final section of the Kalachakra Tantra refers to the "alternative cycle". And the alternative cycle involves mindful meditation, which leads to spiritual fruition. And by meditating on God's commandments, we yield the fruits of the Holy Spirit. "O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine. I have more insight than all

78

my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, because I have observed Your precepts." (Psalms 119:97-100) And by our meditation, our faith yields fruit through the works of the Spirit. And through our works of the Holy Spirit, the Father grants us all things that we need. For as the Son taught us "have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. " (Mark 11:22-24) And the Kalachakra Tantra speaks of the end that shall soon come. For as it was prophesied: "Adam, Noah, Abraham, and five others – Moses, Jesus, the White-Clad One, Muhammad, and Mahdi – with tamas, are in the asura-naga caste. The eighth will be the blinded one. The seventh will manifestly come to the city of Baghdad in the land of Mecca, the place in this world where a portion of the asura caste will have the form of the powerful, merciless mlecchas (barbarians)." (Kalachakra Tantra) Thus Satan shall grant his power to the antichrist and his merciless and barbaric Mahdi army. For the antichrist is Moqtada al Sadr, the king of Baghdad and the imam of Iraq. (Addendum 4: The Antichrist is Here, The King Returns) And the final riddle is this: "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name

79

has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come. Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. The beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction. The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast." (Revelation 17:8-13) And the answer to the riddle is this: the eighth ruler that was, and is not, and is about to come is Sabaoth. For Sabaoth represents the seven days of the week, and is better known as "Time". (Addendum 5: Everything is Perfected in Eight) And at the end time shall be done. For as God had planned it once before, time shall end forevermore.

The time is now.
Siddhartha Gautama

XVI Tao - The Way To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 15, 2010

Taoism, also known as Daoism, refers to the philosophical tenets which became predominant in Eastern China over the past two and a half millennium. The founder of Taoism is believed by many historians to be a philosopher by the name of Lao Tse. (604531 BC) And this name literally means an "old master" who was searching for a way to resolve the constant feudal warfare during the Warring States Period. And the result of his work was the Tao-te-Ching, a proverbial text which emphasizes peace as reflected by the flow of the universe. And Tao refers to the all encompassing flow of the universe. But due to its universal nature, Tao is often referred to as "the nameless", for no word can adequately define its ubiquitous form. For as Lao Tse wrote at the beginning of the Tao-te-Ching, "the Tao that can be spoken of is not the real Tao". And the name "Father" is not truly the Father, for the Father encompasses all things. For the Father is the One who has created the universe and has rule over all of its nature. For "we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live." (1 Corinthians 8:4-6) And the ways of the Father are impossible to

81

comprehend. "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?" (Romans 11:33-35) But the Father sent us His only begotten Son so that we could know the Father. For as the Son said, "all things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." (Matthew 11:27) And the derivative of Tao means the "path" or the "way". For even Taoism concedes that this way is not the true way to eternal life. For as Lao Tse concedes "the way that can be described is not the true way." (Tao-te-Ching) For when Adam and Eve were driven out of the Garden, the angels would guard the way back to eternal life. For "He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life." (Genesis 3:24) And His people were instructed to walk in God's way. "You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess." (Deuteronomy 5:33) But the people failed to walk in His way. For "He knows their works, and He overthrows them in the night, and they are crushed. He strikes them like the wicked in a public place, because they turned aside from following Him, and had no regard for any of His ways". (Job 34:25-27)

82

And because His people had failed, the Father sent us His only Son to show us the Way to eternal life. For as the Son taught of the Way, "enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14) And the Son would finally reveal the way to eternal life: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) (Addendum 6: Christ is the Way)

83

XVII Oneness is Love To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 18, 2010

The first principle of Taoism is Oneness, for man and the universe are One with God. For as Lao-Tse explained, "every being in the universe is an expression of the Tao. It springs into existence, unconscious, perfect, free, takes on a physical body, lets circumstances complete it. That is why every being spontaneously honors the Tao. The Tao gives birth to all beings, nourishes them, maintains them, cares for them, comforts them, protects them, takes them back to itself, creating without possessing, acting without expecting, guiding without interfering. That is why love of the Tao is in the very nature of things." (Tao-te-Ching) Thus all things are one, for "every being in the universe is an expression of Tao." (Tao-te-Ching) And every being in the universe is an expression of God, for every being was created by God. (Addendum 7: God is One) For in the beginning "God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:21-22) And every man is an embodiment of God, for every man was made in the image of God. For "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed

84

them; and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:27-28) But Oneness is difficult for man to comprehend. Or "can you coax your mind from its wandering and keep to the original oneness? Can you let your body become supple as a newborn child's? Can you cleanse your inner vision until you see nothing but the light? Can you love people and lead them without imposing your will? Can you deal with the most vital matters by letting events take their course? Can you step back from your own mind and thus understand all things?" (Tao-teChing) For the mind is prone to wander off the path of oneness. For the Lord "deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth's people and makes them wander in a pathless waste. They grope in darkness with no light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man." (Job 12:24-25) For it is not the earth's rulers, but the children who understand the Oneness of God. For as the Lord said, "let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (Mark 10:14-15) For His children no longer grope in the darkness, but now walk and see in the Light. For the Son came to earth as the Light, and as the Light would testify, "if anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him." (John 11:9-10) And by walking in the Light, He taught us how to love all

85

men. For "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." (Colossians 1:13) And as the Son taught of His love, "you have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AND HATE your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:43) For through our love, we see the Light as sons of the Father. And as sons of the Father, we see as the Father sees, which is the Oneness of all. And now "you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matthew 5:44-45) And it is through Oneness that we learn how to love. For as Lao Tse taught "see the world as yourself. Have faith in the way things are. Love the world as yourself; then you can care for all things." (Tao-te-Ching) And by God's commands, He teaches us to love Him in Oneness. For "the first of all the commandments is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment." And in like matter, the Father taught us to love one another in Oneness. "For the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31) And as the Lord taught us, "a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35)

86

And in completion of Oneness, all things shall return from where they began. For "in the beginning was the Tao. All things issue from it; all things return to it." (Tao-te-Ching) And all things began with God, and all things shall end with God. For "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8) For the Lord God is the all in all. And every one shall return to the Father, but each one in his own order. "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all." (1 Corinthians 15:22-28)

XVIII Yin and Yang - Two Produces One To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 20, 2010

Tao is One. But Tao consists of two equal and opposite polarities: yin and yang. For yin and yang are the balance of two natures which in harmony yields one. For "the Tao is the One. From the One come yin and yang; from these two, creative energy chi; from energy, ten thousand things, the forms of all creation. All life embodies yin and embraces yang, through their union achieving harmony." (Tao-te-Ching) And it was at the beginning that yin and yang were divided, for it was by their division that both could exist. For "the created universe carries the yin at its back and the yang in front." (Tao-te Ching) And it was in the beginning that God divided the light from the darkness. For "God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night." (Genesis 1:3-5)

88

For yin is the source of darkness, which manifests in mystery, and is mystery that is manifest. For as Lao-Tse explained, "yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source. This source is called darkness. Darkness within darkness. The gateway to all understanding." (Tao-te-Ching) For darkness was there before the light, and the darkness covered the whole earth. "The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep." (Genesis 1:2) And yin conceives all things, for it is the womb of all of creation. "For there was something formless and perfect before the universe was born. It is serene. Empty. Solitary. Unchanging. Infinite. Eternally present. It is the mother of the universe." (Tao-te-Ching) And that which is formless and perfect, serene and infinitely present, is the Spirit of God. For when "the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep", "the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." (Genesis 1:2) And the Spirit of God gives birth to all things. For "You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the ground." (Psalms 104:30) And yin is present in all things, for "it flows through all things, inside and outside, and returns to the origin of all things." (Tao-te-Ching) And the Spirit flows through all things and within every place. "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me,

89

and Your right hand will lay hold of me." (Psalms 139:7-10) And all things return through the Spirit. "For the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7) And yang is the root of the light. For "the heavy is the root of the light. The unmoved is the source of all movement." (Taote-Ching) And the Father is the root of the light, for in the beginning He created light. And He separated the light from darkness. For "God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night." (Genesis 1:3-5) And the Father is the unmovable, for He is the center of all things. For it is He who created the sun and the earth, and it is He who fixes the order of the days and the nights. "Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the LORD of hosts is His name:" (Jeremiah 31:35) And yang is that which protects and sustains all things. For "it maintains them, cares for them, comforts them, protects them, takes them back to itself". (Tao-te-Ching) And the Father is One who cares for and sustains all things. For as the Son taught us of the Father, "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them ... Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these ... Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For

90

the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." (Matthew 6:2632) And yang is the root to which all things return. For "each separate being in the universe returns to the common source. Returning to the source is serenity." (Tao-te-Ching) And all men shall return to the Father. "But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power." (1 Corinthians 15:23-24) And it is not the dualistic nature of yin and yang, but their unity which makes all things complete. For "above, it isn't bright. Below, it isn't dark. Seamless, unnamable, it returns to the realm of nothing. Form that includes all forms, image without an image, subtle, beyond all conception." (Tao-te-Ching) And it was from God's conception that the Son was manifest. For the Son was begotten from the bosom of the Father. For "no one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." (John 1:18) And it was through the Spirit that the Son was conceived. "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 1:18) For the Father is the One who begot the Spirit. And the Father and the Spirit begot the Son. And now the Trinity is complete. For "the Tao gives birth to One. One gives birth to Two. Two gives birth to Three. Three gives birth to all things." (Tao-te-Ching) And it is through the Father, Son, and

91

Holy Spirit that all is complete. "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. (1 John 5:4-8)

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.

XIX The Seed - The Bridegroom and the Bride To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 20, 2010

"Only after the One is acted upon will it begin to penetrate through yin and yang. Without the two forces there cannot be the One." (Chang Tsai) And it was at the beginning that there was only one man. But it was not proper that one man should live in the Garden alone. For "as the Lord God said "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." " (Genesis 2:18) And by God's grace, He divided man into two. "So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." (Genesis 2:21-23)

For yin represents the "female" and yang represents the "male". For as Lao Tse wrote, "know the male, yet keep to the female: receive the world in your arms. If you receive the world, the Tao will never leave you and you will be like a little child." (Tao-te-Ching) For men should not dwell on the difference, but on the union of the two which makes one. For "through the union of the pervading principles it reaches harmony." (Tao-te Ching) And by God's grace, the union of

93

two were made into one. For a man and a woman are united to form one flesh. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh." (Genesis 2:24) And through the seed of Adam and Eve, the nations of the world would grow in the flesh. For as the Lord promised Abram through his faithfulness, "in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." (Genesis 22:18) And the Father sent His Son down to earth, that the Seed of His Word would be spread. "For the seed is the word of God." (Luke 8:11) And the Son would sow the good seed throughout all the earth. For "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" (Matthew 13:37-43) For as the Son of Man taught us about the seed, "the seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they

94

hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience." (Luke 8:11-15)

And now as the end draws near, the first fruits are ready to be reaped. For the yin of the Seed is the Bride, His firstfruits. "Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless." (Revelation 14:1-5) And the yang of the Seed is the Bridegroom. For as the Bridegroom said, "the attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But

95

the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast." (Matthew 9:15) And as the witness testified of the Bridegroom, "He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine has been made full." (John 3:29) And the Bride and the Bridegroom shall unite to form one body and one spirit. "For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church." (Ephesians 5:30-32) "For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit."(1 Corinthians 12:12-13) And through the union of the Bridegroom and the Bride, the City shall be complete. And the city shall have an area of 144 million stadia, and its walls shall be 144 cubits thick. For "the city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using." (Revelation 21:16-17) "And I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no

96

day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." (Revelation 21:22-27)

97

XX Passive Action - Active Harmony To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 24, 2010

Western philosophy champions individualism by controlling one's destiny through one's actions. But contrary to this "active" philosophy, Taoism maintains that by denying oneself, your every need will be fulfilled. For as Lao Tse wrote, "if you want to become whole, let yourself be partial. If you want to become straight, let yourself be crooked. If you want to become full, let yourself be empty. If you want to be reborn, let yourself die. If you want to be given everything, give everything up." (Tao-te-Ching) And the Son also promised that by losing your life, your reward shall be eternal life. For "if anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 16:24-25) And this doctrine of self-denial entails proper meditation, for through meditation one is given insight. For "if you open yourself to the Tao, you are at one with the Tao and you can embody it completely. If you open yourself to insight, you are at one with insight and you can use it completely." (Tao-teChing) And we are instructed to meditate upon God's commands, for through this we receive God's wisdom and knowledge. For "this Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that

98

you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8) But by submitting to the desires of the flesh, that which is gained shall fail to endure. For "he who stands on tiptoe doesn't stand firm. He who rushes ahead doesn't go far. He who tries to shine dims his own light. He who defines himself can't know who he really is. He who has power over others can't empower himself. He who clings to his work will create nothing that endures." (Tao-te-Ching) For men were warned not to hoard the earth's treasures, for their mammon will rust and burn in the fire. "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:19-21) And regardless of the action that we take, all things will be changed, and not one thing left undone. For "Tao is eternally inactive, and yet it leaves nothing undone. If kings and princes could but hold fast to this principle, all things would work out their own reformation." (Tao-te-Ching) And regardless of the authority to whom we are subject, all authority is subject to God. For "every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God." (Romans 13:1) For in the kingdom to come, all authority shall be subject to the Son of Man. "For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. But one

99

testified in a certain place, saying: "What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You take care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet." (Hebrews 2:5-8) Thus our actions should be in harmony with God. For when the people are in harmony with God, then the earth is fully replenished. For "in harmony with the Tao, the sky is clear and spacious, the earth is solid and full, all creature flourish together, content with the way they are, endlessly repeating themselves, endlessly renewed." (Tao-te-Ching) And we are in harmony with God by trusting in His Word and His ways. Thus “be in harmony and at peace with God. In this way you will have prosperity. Accept instruction from his mouth, and keep his words in your heart." (Job 22:21-22) And through our harmony with God, our will is in harmony with the Spirit. For "the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (Romans 8:27-28) But man has not acted in harmony, but has acted with discord and malice. Thus man shall be left to his own device, the means of his own self-destruction. For "when man interferes with the Tao, the sky becomes filthy, the earth becomes depleted, the equilibrium crumbles, creatures become extinct." (Tao-te-Ching) And as Oppenheimer, the director of the Manhattan Project, observed of the first nuclear bomb, "if the

100

radiance of a thousand suns were to burst forth at once in the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the shatterer of worlds." And when the radiance of the Son departs, then disorder shall rule. (Addendum 8: Entropy - the Law of Satan) "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:29-30)

XXI The Three Treasures To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 26, 2010

Taoism cherishes three treasures as outlined by the Tao-teChing, and these are compassion, moderation, and humility. For as Lao Tse taught, "I have just three things to teach: compassion, moderation, humility. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being, you reconcile all beings in the world." (Tao-te-Ching) And as the Lord's disciples were taught, "as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." (Colossians 3:12-14) Compassion is the mind and the will to empathize with the suffering of others. For when we understand how others suffer, then we have the will to respond in kind. For as Lao Tse explained, "the Master views the parts with compassion, because he understands the whole." (Tao-te-Ching) And Christ treated man with compassion, for he understood the suffering of the people. For "seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and

102

dispirited like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36) And the Son urged us to do the same. "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire compassion and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:13) Moderation is the commitment to abstain from overindulgence and excess. And moderation leads to generosity, for the result is that one has the means to help others. For as Lao Tse said, "the Master has no possessions. The more he does for others, the happier he is. The more he gives to others, the wealthier he is." (Tao-te-Ching) And as the Son warned us, "do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal." (Matthew 6:19) But He taught us to give to those in need, so that the Father might reward us in kind. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:2-4) Humility is modesty in behavior, attitude, and spirit; free from arrogance or pride. For as Lao Tse taught, "all streams flow to the sea because it is lower than they are. Humility gives it its power. If you want to govern the people, you must place yourself below them. If you want to lead the people, you must learn how to follow them. The Master is above the people, and no one feels oppressed." (Tao-te-Ching) And the Son taught us how to live with humility. "When you are invited by

103

someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, 'Give your place to this man,' and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place. But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." (Luke 14:8-11) Thus Taoism encourages pursuing and perfecting these three principles. For by seeking them we become one with God. "Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in this world." (Tao-te-Ching) And through our love and compassion, we become one mind and one body. "Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be humble; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. "

104

He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good;

Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:8-12

XXII Confucian Philosophy To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 27, 2010

Confucianism is a philosophical system based upon the teachings of the philosopher Kung Fu Tse (551–478 BC). And this philosophy focuses on learning from the past. And many of its texts, including the Analects of Confucius (Lunyu), are parables which are allegories of the truth. And the Son taught in parables, that the people might learn of the Truth. For as the Word revealed to His disciples: "to you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand." (Matthew 13:11-13) Confucianism seeks to achieve perfection through discipline. And as the Son was perfect, so He taught His disciples to be perfect. For "having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek." (Hebrews 5:910) And as disciples of Christ, through the process of sanctification we achieve perfection. "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." (Hebrews 10:14) And as His disciples, we become perfect by

106

living as He lived. For "whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." (1 John 2:5-6) Thus we become perfected, for His love abides within us, as our love abides in Him. For "if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." (1 John 4:12-16) And Confucian philosophy is learned through the tenets of the past. And learning requires both understanding and applying these lessons. For “he who learns but does not think is lost. He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.” (Lunyu 2.15) And the Lord taught that before we can teach others, we must understand these lessons and apply them to ourselves. For "a blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit? A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of

107

your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye." (Luke 6:39-42) And Confucian philosophy emphasizes the concept of ren, a response of compassion and love for others. For as Confucius taught, “what you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.” And ren requires self-denial and sacrifice. For “since you yourself desire standing then help others achieve it, since you yourself desire success then help others attain it.” (Lunyu 12.2, 6.30) And the Son taught His disciples to have compassion towards others. For "the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt

108

because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." (Matthew 18:23-35) Thus Confucian philosophy entails learning through discipline, and understanding and applying the teachings of old. But more importantly, Confucianism emphasizes love and compassion towards all men. For God's ancient ways are of love and compassion. And from these faithful tenets, His disciples can learn of His ways, and understand His truths, and follow His path to eternal salvation. For as the psalmist prayed:

109

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Psalms 25:4-6

110

XXIII Knowledge and Truth To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 28, 2010

Knowledge is gained through learning and thought. For as Confucius said, "learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous." (Lunyu 2.15) And what is knowledge? "This is knowledge -- When you know a thing, to hold that you know it; and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it." (Lunyu 2.17) And the wise man gains knowledge, but the fool despises wisdom and instruction. For "to know wisdom and instruction, to discern the sayings of understanding, to receive instruction in wise behavior, righteousness, justice and equity; to give prudence to the naive, to the youth knowledge and discretion, a wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel, to understand a proverb and a figure, the words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:2-7) And knowledge is acting according to that which is retained through memory. For "there may be those who act without knowing why. I do not do so. Hearing much and selecting what is good and following it; seeing much and keeping it in memory − this is the second style of knowledge." (Lunyu 7.27) And Christ gave us knowledge upon which to act, for He gave us His Word to remember. And at the end, every act shall be

111

judged by the Word. For as He said "therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall." (Matthew 7:24-27) And the objective of knowledge is truth. And the truth for the wise man is life. For "the object of the superior man is truth. Food is not his object. There is plowing; even in that there is sometimes want. So with learning; emolument may be found in it. The superior man is anxious lest he should not get truth; he is not anxious lest poverty should come upon him." (Lunyu 15.31) And we pray to God for the truth. "Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name." (Psalms 86:11) And the truth for the wise man is life. "Will they not go astray who devise evil? But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good." (Proverbs 14:22) And the greatest of all knowledge is the Word. For the Word is the Truth and Life. For as the Word testified "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6) And through the Spirit of Truth, we have knowledge and remembrance of the Word. For when "He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you

112

what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you." (John 16:13-15) But those who fail to seek knowledge should be greatly disdained. For as "Confucius said, 'Those who are born with the possession of knowledge are the highest class of men. Those who learn, and so, readily, get possession of knowledge, are the next. Those who are dull and stupid, and yet compass the learning, are another class next to these. As to those who are dull and stupid and yet do not learn;−− the y are the lowest of the people." (Lunyu 16.9) For "a senseless man has no knowledge, nor does a stupid man understand this: That when the wicked sprouted up like grass and all who did iniquity flourished, it was only that they might be destroyed forevermore." (Psalms 92:6-7) For the day shall soon come when man's ignorance will be destroyed. "For My people are foolish, they know Me not; they are stupid children and have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, but to do good they do not know ... thus says the LORD, 'The whole land shall be a desolation, yet I will not execute a complete destruction. For this the earth shall mourn and the heavens above be dark, because I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it.'" (Jeremiah 4:22-28)

113

XXIV The Shepherd To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 29, 2010

Leading is best accomplished by governing the people through virtue. For as Confucius advised, "if the people be led by laws, and uniformity sought to be given them by punishments, they will try to avoid the punishment, but have no sense of shame. If they be led by virtue, and uniformity sought to be given them by the rules of propriety, they will have the sense of shame, and moreover will become good." (Lunyu 2.3) For God's people were first governed through the Law of Moses. For as the people were commanded, "remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel." (Malachi 4:4) But although they were given God's laws, the people failed to do what was right. Thus the Father sent His only Son with the Word. And it was through the virtue of the Son, that the people learned to do what was right. "For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ." (John 1:16-17) And the most important requirement for governing the people is confidence in their ruler. For as "the Master said, 'The requisites of government are that there be sufficiency of food, sufficiency of military equipment, and the confidence of the people in their ruler.' Tsze −kung said, 'If it cannot be helped,

114

and one of these must be dispensed with, which of the three should be foregone first?' 'The military equipment,' said the Master. Tsze −kung again a sked, 'If it cannot be helped, and one of the remaining two must be dispensed with, which of them should be foregone?' The Master answered, 'Part with the food. From of old, death has been the lot of all men; but if the people have no faith in their rulers, there is no standing for the state.'" (Lunyu12.7) And confidence was given to God's people, for having faith in all of His promises. For the Lord gives us confidence in the face of our enemies. "Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught." (Proverbs 3:25-26) And the Lord gives us confidence through famine and drought. And "blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8) And the Lord gives us confidence in the government of His people. "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6) For the Son of Man "is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins." (Acts 5:31)

115

And the key to governing is to rectify that which is wrong. For "to govern means to rectify. If you lead on the people with correctness, who will dare not to be correct?" (Lunyu 12.17) And the Father sent His Son to rectify man's errors. For "as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12-13) But man has refused God's staff of correction. "O LORD, do not Your eyes look for truth? You have smitten them, but they did not weaken; You have consumed them, but they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to repent." (Jeremiah 5:3) Thus the Lord shall rectify the nations with His rod of recompense. "Now upon you I will soon pour out My fury, and spend My anger upon you; I will judge you according to your ways, and I will repay you for all your abominations. My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will repay you according to your ways, and your abominations will be in your midst. Then you shall know that I am the LORD who strikes." (Ezekiel 7:8-9) And the leadership depends on the virtue of its leader. For as "the Master said, 'When a prince's personal conduct is correct, his government is effective without the issuing of orders. If his personal conduct is not correct, he may issue orders, but they will not be followed." (Lunyu 13.6) For the Shepherd would come to gather His sheep. And He would lead them with the greatest virtue which is His love. For as He said, "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not

116

the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep." (John 10:1115) And the Shepherd shall return to gather what was left behind. For as He promised "I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father." (John 10:16-18) And at the end there shall be one government. And at the end we shall be one people. For "behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.'" (Revelation 21:3-5)

XXV The Righteous Man To Andrew the Prophet Completed April 30, 2010

A man of virtue is most concerned with matters of righteousness. For as Confucius said, "the mind of the superior man is conversant with righteousness; the mind of the mean man is conversant with gain." (Lunyu 4.16) And what is righteousness? Righteousness is to uphold the execution of justice and the laws of God. For "the mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip." (Psalms 37:30-31) And it is not sufficient to live in righteousness, but to delight in it as the fulfillment of justice. For "they who know the truth are not equal to those who love it, and they who love it are not equal to those who delight in it." (Lunyu 6.18) For as is said of the righteous man, "his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night." (Psalms 1:2) And the righteous man does not transgress what is right. For "the superior man, extensively studying all learning, and keeping himself under the restraint of the rules of propriety, may thus likewise not overstep what is right." (Lunyu 6.25) For he knows that God's precepts are always right. And "the law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes." (Psalms 19:7-8)

118

And perfect virtue requires abandoning self interest, and focusing on the propriety of righteousness. For "to subdue one's self and return to propriety, is perfect virtue. If a man can for one day subdue himself and return to propriety, all under heaven will ascribe perfect virtue to him." (Lunyu 12.1) And perfect righteousness and virtue were exemplified by Christ. For He taught us to turn from our own selfish ways, and to stand in righteousness and truth. For "in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth." (Ephesians 4:22-24) And the virtuous man brings forth righteousness with humility and sincerity. For "the superior man in everything considers righteousness to be essential. He performs it according to the rules of propriety. He brings it forth in humility. He completes it with sincerity. This is indeed a superior man." (Lunyu 15.17) For humility is knowing that all things come from the Father, and sincerity is serving all men in truth. "Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth who have carried out His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the LORD'S anger." (Zephaniah 2:3) And in humility and sincerity we serve God with fear, knowing that all things come from the Father, and knowing that He is the source of the truth. "Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth". (Joshua 24:14) For "the reward of humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, honor and life." (Proverbs 22:4)

119

And the righteous man treats all men with reciprocity. For "'is there one word which may serve as a rule of practice for all one's life?' The Master said, 'Is not reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.'" (Lunyu 15.23) And the Law of Moses taught men how to live with reciprocity. "You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:17-18) And the Lord taught His servants how to love with reciprocity, for as He said "the second law is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." " (Matthew 22:39) Thus the righteous man lives in sincerity and humility, and with love and compassion in his heart. Therefore, as righteous men "bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." (Colossians 3:13-14)

XXVI Shinto Philosophy on Purity To Andrew the Prophet Completed May 2, 2010

The Shinto philosophy is the traditional philosophy of the people of Japan. And the symbol for Shinto is a gate which represents the transition from the physical into the immortal realm. And in fact, the word Shinto is derived from the Chinese word shin which means "the way of the gods." And although the Shinto beliefs are as diverse as its people, unlike other philosophies, it does not have a single founder or doctrine. And the Shinto philosophy traditionally focuses on purity. And due to their emphasis on spiritual and physical purity, many of their ceremonies are symbolic acts of purification. Thus the Shinto philosophy envisions the world as a dichotomy between pure versus unclean, rather than as a metaphysical struggle of good versus evil. For as the Shinto text speaks of the foulness of the unclean, and the consequential and obligatory act of purification. "Nay! hideous! I have come to a hideous and polluted land - I have! So I will perform the purification of my august person." (The Purification of the

121

August Person, Kojiki) And God's people were likewise instructed by God, to remove the unclean from the clean. For as the high priests were instructed, "do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you will not die—it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations— and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean, and so as to teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken to them through Moses." (Leviticus 10:9-11) And God's people were commanded to eat only what was clean. For "this is the law regarding the animal and the bird, and every living thing that moves in the waters and everything that swarms on the earth, to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature and the creature which is not to be eaten." (Leviticus 11:46-47) And the people were commanded to separate those who were unclean from the clean. For "this is the law for any mark of leprosy—even for a scale, and for the leprous garment or house, and for a swelling, and for a scab, and for a bright spot— to teach when they are unclean and when they are clean. This is the law of leprosy." (Leviticus 14:54-57) And in the Shinto philosophy, through these acts of purification man hopes to reach the divine. And although these rituals are primarily symbolic, they are expected to be accompanied by a purification of the inner heart. And the rituals of God's people applied directly to the purity of their external condition. For the altar was purified with the blood of a bull. "Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make

122

atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it. For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy." (Exodus 29:36-37) And on the eve of the Passover, the priests were purified by the blood of the lamb. "For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were pure. Then they slaughtered the Passover lamb for all the exiles, both for their brothers the priests and for themselves." (Ezra 6:20) But the Son warned that the inner condition of the priests was unclean. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness." (Matthew 23:27-28) But the Son taught the people how to make themselves clean. For it is not what is eaten, but that which comes out which makes man unclean. "Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" And He was saying, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man." (Mark 7:18-2) Thus, we follow His instruction to make our hearts pure. For "we know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we

123

will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." (1 John 3:23) And the way of purity is revealed by our actions. For "even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right." (Proverbs 20:11) For the purity that God sees is revealed through our actions. And the "religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27) For the Lord sees those who are pure in heart. For "he who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation." (Psalms 24:4-5) And those who are pure in heart shall see God. For "blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8) And the pure in heart shall be heard by their King. For "he who loves purity of heart and has grace on his lips, the king will be his friend." (Proverbs 22:1) And at the end, the most pure in heart shall be found blameless. For the purest in heart are the Lord's firstfruits. And "they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless." (Revelation 14:3-5)

XXVII Zoroastrianism - The Choice To Andrew the Prophet Completed June 3, 2010

Zoroastrianism is a philosophical system that is based upon the teachings of Zoroastrian (Zarathustra) during the twelfth century BC. His philosophical ideologies had a bearing upon the ideological landscape of Iran prior to the Islamic revolution. And Zoroastrians believe in one God who is fundamentally good, but has an "alter ego" which is chaotic and destructive. For Zoroastrians are inclined to view this world dualistically, as a battlefield between Order and Chaos. And the force of Order is termed asha which means "truth" and "order". And in contrast the force of Chaos is termed druj which means "lies" and "disorder". Thus Zoroastrianism views this world as a dichotomy and battlefield between good and evil. And in the beginning the universe was created by one Maker who is God. For "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) And through Him all things were created and are held together. "For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:16-17) And He is the power that brings order to the universe. For He is "the Lord, who gives the sun for light

125

by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the Lord of hosts is His name." (Jeremiah 31:35) And at the beginning all things were good. For as God said to the man, "'Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to everything that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food'; and it was so. God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." (Genesis 1:29-31) Yet this present world is not fundamentally good, but is a struggle between good and evil. For it was at the beginning that "now the two primal Spirits, who reveal themselves in vision as Twins, are the Better and the Bad, in thought and word and action. And between these two the wise ones chose right, the foolish not so. And when these twain Spirits came together in the beginning, they created Life and Not-Life, and that at the last Worst Existence shall be to the followers of the Lie, but the Best Existence to him that follows Right." (Zarathustra) And it was through the Lie in the Garden, that all men would partake in life's struggle. For evil would originate from the first Lie in the Garden. "Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, 'From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may

126

eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.' ' The serpent said to the woman, 'You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.' " (Genesis 3:1-5) And man chose to do what was evil, for he chose to disobey God's commands, and to eat and bear fruit from that Lie. "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate." (Genesis 3:6) And from his first choice in the Garden, all men must now choose good or evil. For God loves goodness and truth; but He despises falsehood and lies. Then "why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endures all day long. Your tongue devises destruction, like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit. You love evil more than good, falsehood more than speaking what is right." (Psalms 52:1-3) But all things that are good come from God in goodness and truth. "For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." (Psalms 100:5) And those who are good seek to speak truth. For "do they not go astray who devise evil? But mercy and truth belong to those who devise good." (Proverbs 14:22) And His children bear fruits of the Spirit which are goodness and truth. Thus "walk as children of Light for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth". (Ephesians 5:8-9)

127

And order is the most valuable attribute of goodness. For "order is the best good there is. There are wished-for things in the wish, for this one when one’s Order is for the best Order." (Zoroastrian prayer) Thus the greatest duty is to serve the Order of God. For God is the One who brings order to this universe. "Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the Lord of hosts is His name." (Jeremiah 31:35) And that which is ordered comes from God from above. But that which is disordered comes from Satan below. And "this wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing." (James 3:15-16) Yet God has brought order from chaos and disorder. For God gave His people these orders from at first: bring the firstfruits to the altar. For "as soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of their grain, new wine, oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything." (2 Chronicles 31:5) And the Son would come to bring order to His flock. For as He said "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand." (John 10:27-28) And the Son shall return to gather the rest. "For I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again." (John 10:16-17)

128

And His last order shall be: throw the tares in the fire. For as His disciples were ordered, "allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn." " (Matthew 13:30) For this shall be the order as ordained for all time, as it has been ordered by our choice of good over evil, and by our choice of life over death.

For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all

enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For "He has put all things under His feet."
1 Corinthians 15:21-27

XXVIII What is Hell? To Andrew the Prophet Completed June 7, 2010

Zoroastrian philosophy speaks of the metaphysical transition from the earthly realm into the immortal realm. And many philosophies have glorified the realm of the heavens, but Zarathustra was the first philosopher to expound on the realm of hell. For as the Zoroastrian texts speak of the "house of deceit", "the deceitful of bad rule, bad action, bad word, of bad religious view, bad thought: the souls come to meet them with foul food and they will be welcome guests in the house of deceit." (Gatha Y.49.11) And it is by man's appetite for evil, that he is sent down to hell. For "indeed, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man, and he does not stay at home. Because he enlarges his desire as hell, and he is like death, and cannot be satisfied, he gathers to himself all nations and heaps up for himself all peoples." (Habakkuk 2:5) And it is through man's sinful appetite, that he enters the house of destruction. For "Hell and Destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied." (Proverbs 27:20) And Zarathustra spoke of man's judgment, that each man must meet the accountant. And he is the one who judges deceit. For "their own soul and their own religious view will recoil from them when they will have reached the place of the accountkeeper’s bridge, and they will remain for all time guests attached to the house of deceit." (Gatha Y.46.11) And man

130

was forewarned to fear for his soul, for God is the One to judge each man's soul. "I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!" (Luke 12:4-6) And the rulers of hell are anxious to claim each man's soul. For "hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming; it stirs up the dead for you, all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations." (Isaiah 14:9) For the house of despair is a foul and desolate place. For “it is below, deep, and underground, most dark, most fetid, and most terrible, most unwanted, and worst, the place and the dwelling of demons and she-demons”. (Dadestan 26.4) And its rulers are anxious to inflict great physical pain and mental distress on their subjects. For they are free to administer “pain and trouble and devouring and many kinds of stench, and biting and tearing and producing of all evil and discomfort”. (Dadestan 40.4) And as the Son warned of man's judgment in hell. "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched -- where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched -- where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to

131

be cast into hell fire -- where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' (Mark 9:42-48) But though they face judgment in hell, by His endless love our Lord is forgiving. For though time in hell is "forever", even forever is limited by time. For at the end of time, all souls shall be risen, to face the final judgment. And by the purification of fire, they shall be “again clothed in a garment of the same substance, and they enjoy perfect bliss eternally and without interruption.” (Denkard III.272) But before the Son of Man returns, all souls from hell must be resurrected. "For an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." (John 5:28-29) And just as God shall raise every soul for judgment, so shall He raise every angel for judgment. "For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment ... then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority." (2 Peter 2:4-10) And even Satan will be cast to the earth, to face the Lord's judgment and wrath. For "the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever." (Revelation 20:10)

132

And at the last judgment, all souls shall be purified by metal from the fire. For in the Zoroastrian text, the metal for fire is gold from the saints. But the metal that is molten shall be scalding from the fire. For as Moses foretold, both earth and hell shall be set on fire. "For a fire is kindled by my anger, and shall burn to the lowest hell; it shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains." (Deuteronomy 32:22) And as the Son had promised, many will be cast in the fire. "So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew13:49-50) And the Son of Man shall judge each man's deeds. "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:13-14-15)

133

The Purifier

"Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts. "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers ' soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years. Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan , and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me," says the Lord of hosts. "For I , the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the Lord of hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?' Malachi 3:1-7

XXIX Sikhism - Discipleship To Andrew the Prophet Completed June 13, 2010

Sikhism is a philosophical system which was developed in Punjab in the fifteenth century and is based on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev. And Sikh is derived from the Punjabi root sikh which means "disciple" and from the Sanskrit root siksa which means "instruction". And his disciples were instructed to meditate on God's works so that they could discover the truth. And by knowing that God is at work in all things, and by meditating on the depth of His works, we can understand God and the Truth. And by being disciples of God and the Truth, God instructs us how to live in the Truth. For as Guru Nanak instructed his disciples, "realization of Truth is higher than all else. Higher still is truthful living". For the Truth is the Divine Word of God. And as Nanak taught his disciples, "the Divine Word is the Guru, upon whom I lovingly focus my consciousness; I am thy disciple." And by living as disciples of the Word, we realize that all men are created in God's image, and thus form one unity with God. For “everyone, being created in the image of God, is considered high and with esteem, none can be bereft of the True Name”. (Guru Granth Sahib) And the teaching of the psalmist instructed us to meditate on God's works. "I will meditate on all Your work and muse on Your deeds. Your way, O God, is holy; what god is great like

135

our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples." (Psalms 77:11-14) And by meditating on God's works, we can understand His truth and justice. "For the works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. They are upheld forever and ever; they are performed in truth and uprightness." (Psalms 111:7-8) And through God's works we know of His love for creation. And His greatest love of all is for His greatest creation, which is mankind. For as the Son instructed His disciples, "look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26) And "consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" (Matthew 6:28-30) And as God bestowed His love on mankind, so are we instructed to love God the same way. For as Moses instructed his disciples, "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it." (Deuteronomy 30:15-16) "Moreover the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your

136

soul, so that you may live." (Deuteronomy 30:6) But His people failed to love God, and they failed to keep His commandments. Thus they failed to know His Word and the Truth. Yet God so loved the world that He sent His only Son to instruct His disciples so that all men might live. For as the disciples instructed us, "this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:9-12) For the Son is the Word and the Truth. "For the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) And through the Word and the Truth, His disciples were instructed to love one another. For "if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world." (1 John 4:11-14) And by confessing that God sent us His only Son, and by living as the Son has instructed us, we as His disciples are perfected in Oneness with God. For "whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have

137

confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world." (1 John 4:15-17)

As He was in the beginning: the Truth, So throughout the ages, Ever has been: the Truth, So even now he is Truth immanent. So forever and ever he shall be, Truth eternal.

XXX The Name of God To Andrew the Prophet Completed June 15, 2010

Of paramount importance in the Sikh philosophy is meditating upon God's name. And most philosophers have been reluctant to name God, for to do so is to define the unlimited within the limitations of our language. For the name of God by definition was given to His witness. For when Moses enquired God of His name, "God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, 'Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' ' "(Exodus 3:14) And the definition of a name is "a word that constitutes a distinctive designation to a person or thing". (MerriamWebster Dictionary) But as mortals our ability to name is limited by the limits of our mind. For "even so my God, I could not know Thy price, nor say how great is Thy Name; true is the Formless One and Self-Existent, on hearing the Word, one utters the Word; if the Lord wills, then one has longing for Him." (Nanak Dev) And it is not man, but God who magnifies the Word according to His Name. And "I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word according to all Your name." (Psalms 138:2) And at the beginning, the Word of God was God. For "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with

139

God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." (John 1:1-3) Thus the name of God by definition is the Word of God. And Moses instructed the people that the name of God is "I AM"; for as God had instructed Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' "(Exodus 3:14) But Moses did not teach the people to name God by God's name. For by the definition of a name, there is only One who can call His name: "I AM WHO I AM". And unequivocally at the end, the name of God shall be known only by the Word of God. For "His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God." (Revelation 19:12-13) And a name can also be defined as "a symbol used in logic to designate an entity". (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) And the Sikhs often used symbols to define what was too difficult to designate with words. For as Nanak noted on the limitation of words, "God hath no marks or symbols, He is of no color, of no caste, He is not even of any lineage. His form, hue, shape and garb cannot be described by anyone." (Nanak Dev) And many of God's symbols were designated by the prophets. "I have also spoken by the prophets, and have multiplied visions; I have given symbols through the witness of the prophets." (Hosea 12:10) For Moses would designate the Law as the symbol of God's commandments. For "these commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and

140

when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) And Christ would designate the cross as the symbol of God's love and sacrifice. For "being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:8-11) And to the Sikhs, the Name of God is symbolized by light. For "without prayer and praise of the Almighty God, darkness shall prevail. As is the staff in the hand of a blind person, so is to us the Name of God." (Gurbaani) For "as God ordaineth, so man receiveth. All creation is His Word made manifest; except in the Light of His Word there is no way". (Nanak Dev) And the Lord of hosts gives us the light of sun by day and the moon by night. "Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the Lord of hosts is His name." (Jeremiah 31:35) And the Son came down to earth to bring us the Light. For as the Son testified, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12)

141

And to the Sikhs, the name of God is symbolized by the Bridegroom. And all things shall be completed by His marriage to the Bride. "Let my tongue become a hundred thousand tongues, let the hundred thousand be multiplied twenty-fold, with each tongue many hundred thousands of times I would repeat the holy Name of the Lord; thus let the soul step by step mount the stairs to the Bridegroom and become one with Him." (Nanak Dev) And this witness testifies that the Bridegroom shall return. For "He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the Bridegroom, who stands and hears Him, rejoices greatly because of the Bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine has been made full." (John 3:29) And the year of the union of the Bridegroom and the Bride shall soon come. For "the year and the sacred day for the wedding is fixed. Comrades! Pour oil at the door to welcome the bride; give me your blessings, O friends, I depart for my union with God." (Nanak Dev) And the seven trumpets shall sound, for the Elect shall soon be gathered. "Blow a trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly, gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room and the bride out of her bridal chamber." (Joel 2:15-16) For the Bride shall be gathered from all of the nations, and the Bridegroom and the Bride shall be made into One. For "the Lord’s chosen are absorbed in the Lord’s Name. The pain of birth and the fear of death are broken. They have attained the Imperishable Lord; great honor is theirs in all regions." (Nanak Dev)

142

But when the Bride and the Bridegroom depart, then all the earth and mankind shall perish. "And the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth." (Revelation 18:23-24)

Addendum 1 The Hope from the Father is in our Souls Signs, Science, and Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed November 16, 2007

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

Matthew 22:37

Our souls are sustained by the Father, the Water of eternal life

“So also it is written, ‘The first man, Adam, became soul.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthly; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-49 “Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of

144

my soul.” Psalms 54:4 “O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalms 63:1 “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?” Psalms 42:1-2

Satan through the flesh enslaves our souls

“O Lord my God, in You I have taken refuge; save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me, or he will tear my soul like a lion, dragging me away, while there is none to deliver.” Psalms 7:1-2 “Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol.” Psalms 16:9-10 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28 “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:25-26

145

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” 1 Peter 2:11

The gift from the Father is Hope

“My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.” Psalms 62:5-6 “I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope.” Psalms 130:5 “'The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I have hope in Him.’ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.” Lamentations 3:24-25 “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." Hebrews 6:19-20

Our only hope is in God “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all

146

your soul and with all your might.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart your soul your mind” Matthew 22:37 “Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.” Psalms 25:12-13 “And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:19-21 “The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.” Psalms 34:22

All souls will soon know that He is God

“For the kingdom is the Lord's and He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, all those who go down to the dust will bow before Him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.” Psalms 22:28-29

147

“Too long has my soul had its dwelling with those who hate peace. Iam for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.” Psalms 120:6-7 “My soul, my soul ! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart! My heart is pounding in me; I cannot be silent, Because you have heard, O my soul, The sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war.” Jeremiah 4:19 “At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; for when the earth experiences Your judgments. The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.” Isaiah 26:9 “Does the Lord take delight in thousands of rams, in ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” Micah 6:7

He will redeem the souls of mankind

“How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.” Psalms 84:1-2 “I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride

148

adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10 “Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you. I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.” Leviticus 26:11-12

149

Our Souls Hope to Return to the Father

“The first man, Adam, became soul.” (1 Corinthians 15:45) And as the soul of the first man was created by the Father, so were our souls created by the Father. For we presently bear the image of the earthly, but soon will “bear the image of the heavenly.” (1 Corinthians 15:49) For the Father is the sustenance of our souls, for He is the living water of Life. (Psalms 54:4) And this world is a dry and desolate place, and our souls long and thirst for His living water. (Psalms 63:1) And the souls of the faithful have longed for this day, and the souls of His promise do earnestly pray, “my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalms 42:1-2) And who will claim our souls? For the desires of the flesh, are the shackles of Satan, and all hope is lost, to those whom he claims. And the psalmist took refuge in the Father, knowing that Satan has the power to claim, his body and soul and drag him away. (Psalms 7:1-2) For where Satan rules in the depths of his lair, there is no hope, only loss and despair. (Psalms 16:9-10) And why do we not heed the words of the Lord? “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28) And what gain is there, if you gain the world but lose your soul? (Matthew 16:25-26) Thus we must be strangers to this heathen world, and fight the

150

desires which endanger our souls. (1 Peter 2:11) And who can save our souls? There is only one, for our hope lies in our redemption through the Father. “For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.” (Psalms 62:5-6) And we patiently wait for His promises, and hope to return to our Creator. (Psalms 130:5) Then He will give us our portion, for He is good to those who have patiently waited for Him, and to those who have sought Him. (Lamentations 3:24-25) And our portion shall be great indeed, for Christ has come as the High Priest, and now we may pass through the veil, and receive our inheritance from our heavenly Father. (Hebrews 6:19-20) And what does the Father ask of us? The world has forgotten His first commandment, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5/ Matthew 22:37) For we must fear the Lord our God, and strive to inherit eternal life with the Father. (Psalms 25:12-13) For it is the Father and not earth’s ruler, who can cast our souls to hell, or raise our souls to eternal life. (Matthew 10:28) And we must place our hope “in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.” (Matthew 6:20) For if we are not rich towards God, then why should He be rich towards us? (Luke 12:19-21) But to those who put their hope in the Father, their souls shall be redeemed by the Father, “and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.” (Psalms 34:22)

151

And now the time has come, when all will know that He is Lord, for He will come to claim His kingdom. “For the kingdom is the Lord's and He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, all those who go down to the dust will bow before Him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.” (Psalms 22:28-29) For His people have patiently endured, those who breed violence and war. (Psalms 120:6-7) And when He returns in the clouds, the trumpets shall warn of that fateful day. (Jeremiah 4:19) And when the judgment comes, the world will know of His justice and righteousness. (Isaiah 26:9) And the world will wonder, “Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” (Micah 6:7) NO. He no longer desires the fruit of your body, for each man will be judged by his own works. And now He asks for the blood of your body for the sins of your soul. But when the fire of the judgment is complete, we stand assured of the redemption that awaits. For lovely are the dwelling places of the courts of God. (Psalms 84:1-2) And His people will be adorned, with garments of salvation and robes of righteousness. And all will rejoice in His kingdom, for as the Father promised, “I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you. I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.” (Leviticus26:11-12)

Addendum 2 The Spirit of Man is His Heart Signs, Science & Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed November 13, 2007

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
Matthew 22:37

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 The heart of man is inherently evil “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” Matthew 15:18-19

153

“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” Psalms 14:1 “Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; though they join forces, none will go unpunished.” Proverbs 16:5 “You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.” Acts 7:51 “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.” Matthew 13:19 “But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to each one according to his deeds.” Romans 2:5-6

The history of man’s heart has been evil

“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” Genesis 6:5-6 “Then the Lord said in His heart, ‘I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.’” Genesis 8:21

154

“So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, ‘The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.’” Genesis 27:41 “The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.” Daniel 7:4 “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human means.” Daniel 8:25

But the Lord can control the heart of man

“The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” Proverbs 21:1 “And the Lord said to Moses, ‘When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.’” Exodus 4:21

155

“And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy; for the Lord made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.” Ezra 6:22

We must be broken hearted

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart -- These, O God, You will not despise.” Psalms 51:17 “For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.” Psalms 109:22 “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.” Joel 2:12-13 “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.’” Isaiah 57:15

Then the Spirit can enter our hearts “Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a

156

heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 11:19-20 “‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39 “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29 “You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

The Spirit purifies our hearts by faith

“So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.” Acts 15:8-9 “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt

157

in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:22-23 “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

The upright in heart will glorify God

“The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.” Psalms 64:10 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore.” Psalms 86:11-12 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.” Acts 4:32

158

The Heart of Man Comes From the Holy Spirit

“God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him”. (Genesis 1:27) For we were created in the image of God, and just as God is three in one: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, so were we created as three in one: heart, soul, and mind. Our heart is the vessel through which the Spirit works, and when the Spirit works we receive the gift of faith. And as the Lord is faithful to us, so should we be faithful to Him. And His commandment to us is this: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37 / Deuteronomy 6:4-5) Our hearts are inherently evil, for they are easily deceived, by the ruler of this world, and they devise evil plans, and fall in his ways. For out of the hearts of men “proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” (Matthew 15:18-19) And the ways of men are corrupt, for in ignorance they say “there is no God”. (Psalms 14:1) And their hearts of pride have turned to stone. (Proverbs 16:5) But rather than giving their hearts to the Spirit, they are doomed to repeat the sins of their fathers. (Acts 7:51) For that which was sown by the Spirit, has been snatched by the ruler of this earth. (Matthew 13:19) But all men’s hearts shall be judged by the Lord, and their hardness of heart will make it bleed, for our Lord “will render to each one according to his deeds”. (Romans 2:5-6) And as the Lord said, the “imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth”. (Genesis 8:21) And because of the evil of man’s heart, and because it grieved our Lord’s heart, He destroyed mankind by the

159

flood. (Genesis 6:5-6) And the blood thirsty ways of the nations, were conceived by the murderous heart of Esau; and through the heart of hatred and murder, the wars of the nations continue to this day. (Genesis 27:41) And the rulers of our nations, through the evil of their hearts, have ushered in the final days of this earth. For the first ruler came as the “beast from the sea” from the Great Babylon. “The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.” (Daniel 7:4) And George Bush Jr. through a heart of evil, was given authority to wage war against Iraq. And the second ruler is the anti-Christ from Babylon of Old. “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human means.” (Daniel 8:25) For Moqtada al-Sadr’s heart from Satan shall be destroyed by God, when the final bowl is poured out. Although the ways of our rulers are evil, it is God’s hands that draws the end near, for He is the one who turns men’s hearts, whichever way He wishes. (Proverbs 21:1) For was it not God, who hardened Pharaoh’s heart, when His people passed over from Egypt? (Exodus 4:21) And was it not God, who softened Cyrus’ heart, when Persia rebuilt His temple? (Ezra 6:22) And know that when the Lord’s wrath comes, the judgment shall be just, for though the punishment is great, their hearts will not repent. “And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” (Revelation 16:9)

160

And what does the Lord ask of us? That men would turn their hearts towards Him, and serve Him in the spirit. But in order to do so, man must be broken in heart and spirit. (Psalms 51:17) For when our hearts are wounded, and our spirits are needy, then we will know the truth, that all things come from the Father. (Psalms 109:22) And when we turn with weeping and mourning, then He is gracious and merciful. (Joel 2:12-13) And the High and Lofty One who is Holy, will revive the heart and spirit of those, who are humble in heart and contrite in spirit. (Isaiah 57:15) And when we have emptied our hearts, the Spirit can enter and fill our hearts up. For the prophets of old foretold, that Christ would come again, and we would be one people with one spirit. (Ezekiel 11:19-20) And before Christ died on the cross, He promised that when He returned, our hearts would flow with the Holy Spirit. (John 7:37-39) And now by God’s mercy and grace, the Spirit can circumcise our hearts, of the earthly foreskin of this world, and renew us with the heart of the Spirit. (Romans 2:28-29) And having hearts and spirits anew, our hearts are no longer tablets of stone, but tablets of flesh authored by the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:2-3) The Holy Spirit fills our hearts, and purifies our hearts, through the gift of faith. (Acts 15:8-9) For it is through faith that we believe, in the sustenance of the Father, the Word of the Son, and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. And through our faith, we are strengthened without earthly bonds, and produce the fruits of the Spirit. And those who have the greatest faith, will have the power He promised of. “Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:22-23) And through our faith, the mysteries of His truths are revealed to us.

161

Yes and even the truths of the things to come, “for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10) Now all is past and the time is near, for those who walk in truth and fear. His Holy people will rejoice for “the righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.” (Psalms 64:10 //Psalms 86:11-12) For the treasures of this earth are mammon, for all will perish by fire and famine. But those who placed their treasures in heaven, by hearts of faith will be rewarded by Him. (Matthew 6:19-21) And all who have placed their faith in the Lord, will be of one heart forevermore. (Acts 4:32)

Addendum 3 The Mind of Christ Is Sacrificial Love From Signs, Science & Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed November 18,2010

‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.

The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 22:37-40

163

The mind of God is infinite and unchangable

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind the Lord who?” Romans 11:33-34

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9

“Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.” 1 Samuel 15:28-29

“For this the earth shall mourn and the heavens above be dark, because I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it.” Jeremiah 4:28

164

The mind of man is depraved

“The mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:7-8

“Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.” Ephesians 2:3

“And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful.” Romans 1:28-31

165

The beasts have the mind of perdition

“He who has a crooked mind finds no good, and he who is perverted in his language falls into evil.” Proverbs 17:20 “The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 “The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it.” Daniel 7:4 “They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more. For they have conspired together with one mind; against You they make a covenant.’” Psalms 83:4-5

The Lord counsels the minds of those who seek Him

“For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE SHOULD INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 “I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.” Psalms 16:7

166

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:2 “Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

All will be reconciled and will become one mind in the Lord

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.” Isaiah 65:17 “Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding. ‘It shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘they will no longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of the Lord.’ And it will not come to mind, nor will they remember it, nor will they miss it, nor will it be made again. At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The Throne of the Lord,’ and all the nations will be

167

gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord; nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart.’” Jeremiah 3:15-17

168

The Trinities

For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
1 John 5:7-8

169

The Mind of Christ is Sacrificial Love

Contrary to what we believe, love comes from the Mind of Christ and the mind of man, and not from than the heart of man. For what is love but a choice of the mind. And “greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) For the greatest love of all is that God sent His only Son, and by His love, He sacrificed His blood for the redemption of mankind. “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again.” (John 10:17-18) And what does it mean to love? Recall the words of Moses, “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” (Deuteronomy 30:6) Yet recall the mindful words of Christ, “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37-40) For by the sacrifice of His blood on the cross, the triune of God’s graces now is complete: faith, hope, and love; “but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13) The mind of the Lord is infinite and impassable, beyond the expanses of the universe, and deeper than the thoughts of our mind. “How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind the Lord, who?” (Romans 11:33-34) And the Lord searches the depths of our minds, for He understands every intent of our thoughts. (1 Chronicles 28:9) But contrary to the mind of man, the mind of the Lord remains unchanged, “for He is

170

not a man that He should change His mind.” (1 Samuel 15:2829) Thus the words of the prophecy shall be fulfilled, for the prophets of old foretold, “for this the earth shall mourn and the heavens above be dark, because I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it.” (Jeremiah 4:28) For the mind of man has been subject, to the mind of Satan and the flesh of this world. And the mind of the flesh is at enmity with God. (Romans 8:7-8) And even the prophets, martyrs, and saints were born as children of the flesh, “and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.” (Ephesians 2:3) But to those who refuted the mind of Christ, were given to them the mind of flesh. And “God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful.” (Romans 1:28-31) And the leaders of this world have the mind of perdition, adopting a language of perversion and derision. (Proverbs 17:20) Yet they forget these words of wisdom, “the mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9) And on September 11, 2001, the beast from the sea, through the mind of a man, was given the power of Satan. (Daniel 7:4) And on May 25, 2007, the beast from the earth was given the mind of Satan. And the beasts devise their evil plans to destroy the nations, for they abhor the mind of our

171

Lord, and have given their minds over to Satan. (Psalms 83:45) “For who has known the mind of the Lord, that we should instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16) For those who call upon the Lord, through the mind of Christ, the Lord will instruct. (Psalms 16:7) And by the mind of Christ, we are no longer conformed to the flesh, but are transformed by the renewing of our minds. (Romans 12:2)And no longer do we set our minds on this earth, but look forward to the heavens and the treasures above (Colossians 3:2) And by being transformed by the mind of Christ, we have become one mind and “with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:56) And over the span of two times “time, times, and half a time” (Daniel 12:7), the prophecy shall be fulfilled. And mankind will be one mind with the Lord, for the mind of Satan and flesh will be forgotten. “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered or come to mind”. (Isaiah 65:17) And a new Jerusalem and kingdom will be established. And its shepherds will feed its people with knowledge and understanding. And the ark of the covenant will be no more, for God will dwell in our presence, and His goodness will be among all nations. Forevermore. (Jeremiah 3:15-17)

172

SON OF MAN

The SON OF MAN must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Luke 24:7

173

Addendum 4 The Antichrist is Here, The King Returns Signs, Science, and Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed August 23, 2007

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon...Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.” (Revelation 13:11-18)

174

How the saints have patiently waited, for the King to return! But woe to those who have turned from the Lamb. Although the King returns to save all, He does not return as the Lamb. For He will return as the Lion. And by His iron rod and will, all sins shall be paid in full. For as Christ the Lamb has promised the world, “truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last cent.” (Matthew 5:26). Turn now and confess to the Lamb, for the price of the Lion is just and GREAT.

175

May 25, 2007: Moqtada al-Sadr returns from Iran to Sadr City, Iraq to speak “as a dragon” to his followers, “No, no Satan; no, no USA; no, no occupation; no, no Israel”. He comes “out of the earth” to be dictator of his country, Iraq, Syria of old, Babylon of old, Garden of Eden, the origin of mankind, and the GOG (garden of god). And on that day, 6000 Shiites listened to him speak, and 6 US troops died. And the beast, has a number, “and his number is 666". (Revelation 13:18)

176

His followers call al-Sadr “the Mahdi”, for the Mahdi is the “guided one”. He will lead his people against the “infidels”, as prophesied by the Shi’a faith. The Mahdi followers, the Mahdi army, prepare the way for the end of this world. But even if you don’t believe prophecies, take a look at these cold hard facts: 1. His followers call him by the revered name “martyr imam” A. Imam is reserved for the holiest of holy men in the country. He is the son and the nephew of the two previous Imam Ayatollahs of Iraq. He is also a direct descendant of the prophet Mohammed. He is the Imam or Grand Ayatollah of Iraq. B. He is called _martyr_ because the Bush and Reagan administrations assisted in the assassination of his father, Imam Mohammed Sadiq al-Sadr, and his two brothers in 1999, and the execution of his uncle, Imam Mohammed Baqir al-Sadr, in 1980. During the IranIraq war, the US under Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr, gave tens of billions of dollars of military support to Saddam Hussein to destroy the Shi’a government. Its leaders at the time were his father Imam Ayatollah Mohammed Sadiq al-Sadr and his uncle Imam Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Sadr. They are now worshiped as the two holiest martyrs of Iraq, the “two horns of the lamb” (Revelation 13:11). AlSadr is hell bent on avenging the death of his family by the hands of the US government, and he will.

177

2. His father and uncle studied with Imam Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran, also a direct descendant of the prophet Mohammed. Furthermore, his uncle is Mohammad Khatami, the previous president of Iran. Al-Sadr’s Mahdi army is trained by and consists of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. In other words, the holy and political families of Iran and Iraq are blood relatives! Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, and Moqtada al-Sadr are very close allies. 3. Iran is much more advanced in nuclear weapons development than the press leads us to believe. In fact, reports show that Iran has over 5000 nuclear centrifuges and recently was able to manufacture tritium, an important fuel for nuclear fusion bombs. And now they have a contract with Russia to supply them with uranium for their “nuclear reactors.” And remember, there are 250 “suitcase nuclear bombs” (called RA115s) still missing from Russia after the Iron Curtain came down; and it is widely assumed that al-Qaeda has 50 of them in their possession. (Off the record, a suitcase nuke was recently found in Iraq). 4. Iran is getting their gasoline from President Chavez in Venezuela and their citizens are on gasoline restrictions because their oil reserves are low and they lack the ability to refine their oil. 5. Iraq has the third largest oil supply in the world (at least 20 trillion dollars worth) and they have the refineries to process it, which the US government has been so diligent to protect. 6. Iraq is averaging 2 suicide bombings per day, and the number is rapidly increasing.

178

7. By conservative estimates, al-Sadr has 4 million faithful followers and an army of over 100,000 troops and has the support of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. And what will happen, the answer is simple. For the Shi’a controls both of these “horns”, and their blood lines are tied by religion. (Daniel 7) And Iran is assisting with weapons and training. And Iran will run out of their oil, but they do have the means for nuclear warfare. And Iraq has 20 trillion dollars of oil in the fields, but they do not yet have nuclear weapons. Who is to keep them from trading oil for nuclear weapons? And who is going to keep an Iraqi suicide bomber from detonating a nuclear weapon on US soil? And who is securing the Mexican border? Believe me, not Bush, not Cheney, not the US, no one! And what is the answer? The answer is simple. For the seals have been opened, the trigger has been pulled, and the bomb is ticking away. But man has no hope to intervene, for God the Father has control in all things. His prophecy is like a skilled surgeon’s knife, perfect and precise, for the judgment of man will lie in His hands. The question is then not if it will come, for the end will come soon, but what can we do to prepare for the end? Again, the answer is simple. “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations.” (Luke 24:46-47) For we will be judged by the Lamb or the Lion. And Christ the Lamb can forgive your sins, or Christ the Lion can judge for your sins. “Each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will

179

test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:13-16) Thus there is still time to ask for forgiveness. For the time of the Lamb is now. The Judgment Day is near. And the Lion will return. So, come Lord Jesus. Come.

Addendum 5 Everything is Perfected in Eight Mathematics and Numbers of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed January 15, 2008

The foreskin of the flesh is removed in eight

“And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, a servant who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your descendants.” Genesis 17:12 “Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.” Genesis 21:4

“And He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.” Acts 7:8 “On the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.” Leviticus 12:3 “And when eight days had passed, before His circumcision, His name was then called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.” Luke 2:21

181

The outer court of the temple is cleansed in eight

“Now they began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they entered the porch of the Lord. Then they consecrated the house of the Lord in eight days, and finished on the sixteenth day of the first month.” 2 Chronicles 29:17 “Its porches were toward the outer court; and palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight steps.” Ezekiel 40:31 “Four tables were on each side next to the gate; or, eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices.” Ezekiel 40:41

182

The Final Temple

183

God reconciles all in eight

“who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.” 1 Peter 3:20 “Then the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, before the Lord.” Leviticus 14:23 “Then on the eighth day he shall take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the Lord to the doorway of the tent of meeting and give them to the priest” Leviticus 15:14 “For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work.” Leviticus 23:36 “When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the crop, eating the old until the ninth year when its crop comes in.” Leviticus 25:22

184

And the eighth ruler will be destroyed

“When they have completed the days, it shall be that on the eighth day and onward, the priests shall offer your burnt offerings on the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you,' declares the Lord God.” Ezekiel 43:27 “The beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction.” Revelations 17:11

185

When the 8th Ruler is Defeated, God’s Kingdom Will Be ∞

We all have heard of the term seventh heaven, but have you not heard of the eighth? For the prophecy speaks of the eighth, “the beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction.” (Revelations 17:11) For the temple of God will be perfected in seven, and the rest of mankind will be perfected in eight. And when the 8th ruler is destroyed, God’s kingdom shall be infinite forever (∞). For the ordinance of time is the sevenfold week. But the eighth ruler who is “time” shall be slain, and death shall no longer hold man. Eight is the atomic number of oxygen, and as we know oxygen is the breath of life. For as oxygen is the breath of life, so is the Spirit the breath of man’s life. For “the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” (Job 33:4) And the diatomic structure of oxygen is an eight. But when the end comes, His breath shall depart, “for I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before Me, and the breath of those whom I have made.” (Isaiah 57:16) The atomic structure of oxygen

186

Eight is derived from the Indian word yettu that is in the shape of an H. And the number of eight is the Greek letter eta that is in the shape H. And in science H represents enthalpy or heat. And at the end “the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10) Enthalpy is the thermodynamic potential of a system. And this is the sum of the system’s internal energy and its work. And work is equivalent to pressure times volume. Thus the formula for enthalpy is:

Enthalpy = Internal Energy + Work H = U + PV

H represents enthalpy U represents internal energy P represents pressure V represents volume

187

And the change in the potential of a system, is equivalent to the change of internal energy, plus the work that is done in the system (pΔV). Thus:

ΔH = ΔU + pΔV

And as it says “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) And it also says “you see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.” (James 2:24) Thus: New man in Christ (ΔU) + Man’s good works (pΔV) __________________________ Man’s just rewards after the fire (ΔH)

For “each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he

188

himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:13-15) And man’s work began from the days of our forefathers, for the foreskin of man’s flesh was removed on the eighth. And it was on the eighth day, that Abraham and his sons and his servants were circumcised. (Genesis 17:12) For Isaac was circumcised on the eighth day. (Genesis 21:4) And the forefathers were circumcised on the eighth day. (Acts 7:8) And each male child was circumcised on the eighth day. (Leviticus 12:3) And our Lord was circumcised on the eighth day. (Luke 2:21) For a new man is formed by the circumcision of the flesh. For circumcision comes not from the foreskin of our loins, but from the foreskin of enslavement to this world. But “‘behold, the days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised.’” (Jeremiah 9:25) And the court of the second temple was built in eight, in semblance of the judgment to come. For when the temple was restored, for eight days the courtyard was cleansed. (2 Chronicles 29:17) And the new temple shall be built in eight, in semblance of the judgment to come. For there will be eight steps that lead to the court. (Ezekiel 40:31) And there will be eight tables of sacrifice in the court. (Ezekiel 40:41) And the prophecy foretold, that the court outside the temple would be cleansed. “Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.” (Revelation 11:2) For each man in the court, must be sacrificed in the court, before he may enter the temple of God.

189

But after the judgment, God shall save mankind in eight. For after the wrath of the flood, eight people were saved in the ark. (1 Peter 3:20) And after eight days the lepers were cleansed, that they could enter the tent. (Leviticus 14:23) And any man whose skin had a sore, after eight days of cleansing could enter the tent. (Leviticus 15:14) And on the eighth day, the Day of Atonement was held. (Leviticus 23:36) And on the eighth year after seven times seven years, the Jubilee of His people was celebrated. (Leviticus 25:22) And the prophets foretold that this day would come. And the fire of judgment shall burn, before man shall be accepted by God. For “‘when they have completed the days, it shall be that on the eighth day and onward, the priests shall offer your burnt offerings on the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you,’ declares the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 43:27) And after the seventh bowl is poured out, “the beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction.” (Revelations 17:11) And the great riddle is who are the seven, and who is the eighth that goes to destruction? For the scripture reveals the answer to this question. For the seven rulers are the seven angels of Satan, who rule the seven realms which exist. And their names represent the seven-fold nature of the week. And “the first is Athoth...the second is Eloaios...the third is Astaphaios...the fourth is Yao...the fifth is Sabaoth...the sixth is Adonin..and the seventh is Sabbataios...this is the sevenfold nature of the week”. (Apocrypha of John) For it is time which is the beast and the last enemy of mankind. And the eighth beast who “was and is not” is Sabaoth, for “seven archangels stand before the throne. Sabaoth is the eighth and he has authority”. (Nag Hammadi “On the Origin of the World”).

190

And when the eighth ruler is destroyed, the kingdom of God shall be complete, and the Lord shall reign forever and ever. And “the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14) “And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 22:5)

191

Addendum 6 Christ is the Way Signs, Science, & Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed August 11, 2007 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 What does π look like? π is a gate, the design upon which the temples were built. And π is an infinite and transcendental number, a number not understood in finite mortal terms. And Einstein said that if he could comprehend π, then he could comprehend God, for π is the number of God. And it truly is. And what does π look like? It is the narrow gate, for it represents Christ who is the Gate. And do you remember what He said on the Mount? “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:12-13) For we all were created by the Father, and we all have fallen away from the Father. But Christ interceded on our behalf, and gave us the gateway to return to the Father. But to complete the circle back to the Father, we must go through Christ who is the narrow Gate. And what is the formula to complete the circle? The formula of

circumference = π • diameter. Circumference is the path to return to the Father, and diameter is the distance you are away from the Father. And Solomon was told when he constructed the temple, that value of π was equal to 3, “ten cubits from one brim to the other; it was completely round…and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.” (1 Kings 7:23) And obviously that answer was far from complete. For many have come close, but no one on their own has returned to the Father. For this is humanly impossible, for π is an infinite number. Until Christ the Son came down to mankind, for He is the Gate “the way, the truth, and the life. No one can go to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) Christ is π. When we go through Him, then we return to the Father. But no one can return to the Father except through Hiim!

Christ = π = The Narrow Gate Circumference = π • diameter Circumference = path back to the Father diameter = distance between you & the Father π = 3.1415926535897923847274338327……..∞

And the circular pattern above is a symbol commonly used in India. For the pattern represents karma, “what goes around, comes around"! All have come from the Father, and all will return to the Father. Amen All men.

Addendum 7 God is One Mathematics and Numbers of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed November 21, 2007

God is One, there is no one else

“So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no one else.” 1Kings 8:60 “Nothing on earth is like him, One made without fear.” Job 41:33 “The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken, and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.” Psalms 50:1 “The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.” Isaiah 45:7 “For your husband is your Maker, whose name is the Lord of hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, who is called the God of all the earth.” Isaiah 54:5 “But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.” Psalms 75:7

195

“‘To whom then will you liken Me that I would be his equal?’ says the Holy One.” Isaiah 40:25

The Son of Man is the One

“I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14 “And He said, ‘The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man’” Matthew 13:37 “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.” Micah 5:2 “All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Matthew 11:27 “I and the Father are one.” John 10:30

196

“For God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 “But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.” Matthew 23:8-10

God gives us one heart through the Holy Spirit

“And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 11:19 “But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism,_one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6 “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.” Revelation 22:17

197

We are called to be one flock and body with God

“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” John 6:37 “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd.” John 10:16 “So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”Romans 12:5 “Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:23 “And I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:28 “The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as we are one” John 17:22

Man is either one with Christ, or one with Satan

“Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.” 1 John 2:22

198

“The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.” Luke 10:16 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” Matthew 6:24 “So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” Malachi 3:18

And His flock will be rewarded in oneness with God

“Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 10:20 “But the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, for all ages to come.” Daniel 7:18 “And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.” Zechariah 14:9

199

We Will Be One With God

The number one symbolizes unity, and God is the Unity of all, for we as His people are in union with God. For as the Lord said “the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one”. (John 17:22) And the number one has many unique mathematical properties:

For any number x: x times 1 is equal to x

One is defined as an automorphic number for one is in all things, for one can be placed in any numerical value. And God is automorphic for He is in all things, for He is “One God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:6)

For any number x: x divided by x is equal 1

And any number divided by itself is one. And any kingdom, and any house, and even Satan when divided against itself, cannot stand but returns to one. “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. If Satan has

200

risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!”(Mark 3:24-27)

For any number x: x0 is equal to 1

And any number raised to its original value is one. For all were created and shall return to the Father. For “do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us?” (Malachi 2:10)

For any power x: 1x is equal to 1

And the One who is the Father shall transfer power to His people. And the One who is the Son shall raise them up on that day. For as the Son foretold “no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:44)

And one is the atomic number of hydrogen, the atom of the universe which exists in all things. And God is the Creator of the universe, and God the “All in All” exists in all things. For “when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.”(1 Corinthians 15:28) The word “hydrogen” is derived from the Latin word hydrogenium which means “water”. And the Father is the water which is

201

the sustenance of all life. “Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb”. (Revelation 22:1) But when man “attempts” to change hydrogen, and when man “attempts” to change God, then the end shall soon come. For when hydrogen is altered then chaos ensues: “And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire.” (Revelation 15:2)

Marshall Islands: The First Hydrogen Bomb 1946

And the value of alpha in the Greek alphabet is one. And God is the Alpha, the first and the beginning of all things. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:13) For there is one God and all men shall soon “know that the Lord is God; there is no one else.” (1 Kings 8:60) For He is “called the God of all the earth.” (Isaiah 54:5) And God is to be feared for “nothing on earth is like Him, One made without fear”. (Job 41:33) And

202

God is “the Mighty One, God, the Lord,” who “summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.” (Psalms 50:1) And God is “the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity.” (Isaiah 45:7) And God “is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.” (Psalms 75:7) For “‘to whom then will you liken Me that I would be his equal?’ says the Holy One.” (Isaiah 40:25)

For “One like a Son of Man is coming”. (Daniel 7:13-14) For “the one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man” (Matthew 13:37) For the Son will “go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.” (Micah 5:2) For all things were given to the Son by the Father, and the Son who is the Light reveals the Father to all men. (Matthew 11:27) For as the Son said, “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30) And “the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6) And now “One is your Father, He who is in heaven” and “One is your Leader, that is, Christ.”(Matthew 23:8-10)

And God is at one with us through the Holy Spirit. For as the Lord said of the Spirit “I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 11:19) For “the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” (1 Corinthians 6:17) And now “there is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians

203

4:4-6) And the day will soon come, when “the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.” (Revelation 22:17)

For as the Son promised “the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” (John 6:37) For His people “who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5) And His people are “one flock with one shepherd.”(John 10:16) For as the Son said “the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as we are one.” (John 17:22) “And they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of His hand.” (John 10:28) For the one who confesses to the Son, in the end, the Son shall confess to the Father. (1 John 2:23)

But man remains at enmity with God. For those who are not at one with God, are at one with the ruler of this earth who is Satan. For “who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22) And as the Son said to each man of the Father, “the one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.” (Luke 10:16) For no man can serve both God and mammon, and no man can serve this earth and the One. (Matthew 6:24) And on that day, the Son shall judge between the “one who serves God” and the “one who does not serve Him.” (Malachi 3:18)

204

And on that day His people shall return and “will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 10:20) And “the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever” (Daniel 7:18) “And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.” (Zechariah 14:9)

Addendum 8 Entropy - the Law of Satan Δ S = Δ Satan Signs, Science, & Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed November 2, 2007

He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 3:12

God’s kingdom is ordered

“Truly is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, Ordered in all things, and secured; For all my salvation and all my desire, Will He not indeed make it grow? But the worthless, every one of them will be thrust away like thorns, Because they cannot be taken in hand” 2 Samuel 23:5-6 “Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.’” John 18:36

206

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.” John 15:18-19 “Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. Outside the veil of testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations. He shall keep the lamps in order on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.” Leviticus 24:2-4

This universe is ruled by Satan

“Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.’” Matthew 4:8-9 “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 “He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.” John 12:25

207

“I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30

Entropy and disorder, the laws of Satan, govern this universe

“To the land of darkness and deep shadow, The land of utter gloom as darkness itself, Of deep shadow without order, And which shines as the darkness.” Job 10:22 “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.” James 3:14-15

Only God allows order in this universe

“Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The LORD of hosts is His name” Jeremiah 31:35

208

We must emulate His order

“But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” John 17:16-18 “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:3-7

The order of this universe is coming to an end

“‘If this fixed order departs From before Me,’ declares the LORD, ‘Then the offspring of Israel also will cease From being a nation before Me forever.’” Jeremiah 31:36 “But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam

209

all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:20-26 “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.’” Revelation 11:15

210

This Universe is Ruled by Disorder or Entropy

The laws of thermodynamics explain the physical laws, the laws of the behavior of energy in this universe. And the first law of thermodynamics is the law of conservation, that energy can be transferred but is neither created nor destroyed. And energy exists in five different forms: radiant > chemical > physical > electrical > heat. And the highest form is radiant energy, and the lowest form is heat energy, and energy is converted from one form into another. And the second law of thermodynamics is the law of the degradation of energy, that the quality of energy is degraded irreversibly over time. And when energy is converted from one form to another, degraded energy is lost and is unable to produce further work. And this degraded energy is called entropy or S. The thermodynamic process always proceeds, from a system with a high quality of potential energy and a low amount of entropy, into a system with a low quality of expended energy and a high amount of entropy. And the form of energy with the highest amount of entropy is heat energy, and the transfer of energy can be summarized as follows:

211

Equation 1:

High quality energy + low entropy → Low quality energy + high entropy

And the mathematical representation of a change in entropy is ΔS, where entropy increases as a function of heat, which is mathematically represented by ΔQ. Thus, where T represents the absolute temperature of the system:

Equation 2:

Thus entropy increases as heat increases. And in fact, many physicists have hypothesized that the universe is fated to a “heat death”, in which all energy ends up as a homogenous distribution of thermal energy, and no further useful energy exists. For the powers of the universe, follow the laws of entropy. And the powers of this universe are governed, by the powers of its ruler who is Satan. And when the fire of the wrath ensues, entropy or the power of Satan will increase, for as it says, “Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has

212

come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” (Revelation 12:12) And when the radiance of the Son returns, His winnowing fork will gather His wheat, and will throw out the chaff of perdition. “And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He (high quality energy from the radiance of the Son) will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat (low entropy) into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff (high entropy) with unquenchable fire (low quality energy).” (Matthew 3:12)

From Equation 1:

Radiance of the Son + Wheat

Fire + Chaff

From Equation 2:

213

And the world in which we live in, is an imperfect image of the kingdom of God. For the laws of this earth are contrary, to the laws that exist in His kingdom. For where there is order in heaven, there is disorder on earth. And where the heavens exceed in all things, the earthly kingdom fails in all things. For King David spoke of the order of God’s house, “Truly is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all things, and secured” (2 Samuel 23:5-6) And the Lord reaffirmed that His house was above, for He said “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”(John 18:36) And now being servants of Christ, we are not of this world, but are inheritors of His kingdom. And just as Christ died for our sins, so must we suffer for Him, that His heavenly kingdom may be advanced. For as He forewarned us, “if you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.”(John 15:18-19) But He shall return, for His priests were commanded to keep order in His temple, to “keep the lamps in order on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.” (Leviticus 24:2-4) For as the Lord said to His bride, “be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit.”(Luke 12:34) For the realm of this world, is an imperfect image of the kingdom to come, for the ruler of this world is not God, but the ruler of this world is Satan. For when Satan tempted the Lord in the desert, did Satan not tempt Him with the inheritance of this earth? (Matthew 4:8-9) And though Satan would be a fool, to offer this world to a mortal man, the Lord

214

still gave us this solemn warning, “for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26) Thus we are not to place hope in this world, for this world is perishable, but to place our hope in the heavens above, for the heavens are eternal, for “he who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.” (John 12:25) And before the Lord departed, He promised that Satan would return, “I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” (John 14:30) And by our Lord’s descent into hell and His rising into heaven, Satan was bound for one thousand years. But Satan was released back into this world, and has ruled it with great power and deception. As it says “when the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.” (Revelation 20:3) And the laws of entropy which govern this world, have a tremendous impact on our view of the universe. For if we truly believe in the laws of entropy, then the only future for mankind is annihilation and death. And when God withheld His blessings from Job, Job succinctly called this world, “the land of darkness and deep shadow, the land of utter gloom as darkness itself, of deep shadow without order, and which shines as the darkness.” (Job 10:22) And James spoke of the wisdom which governs this universe, “this wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.” (James 3:14-15) But by God’s grace and His loving mercy, we have some semblance of His order, for it is not by the laws of Satan, that the sun

215

gives us light by day, and the moon gives us light by night, but it is by the power of God alone. (Jeremiah 31:35) And now as servants of God we are taught, to emulate the laws which govern His kingdom, the laws of love and forgiveness and order. For as Paul said, “all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.” (1 Corinthians 14:40) For we are not servants of this world, but were sent in this world as servants of God, to spread the Word of His sacrifice for mankind. (John 17:16-18) And by our servitude, God commands us to be His bond servants, to walk on the earth as Christ did, without selfishness or hatred or conceit, but “regarding one another as more important than ourselves.” (Philippians 2:3-7) But few have followed His commands, and God will remove that which He controls, the order of this world and the universe. For the prophets of old foretold, that the fixed order of this world would end, “‘if this fixed order departs from before Me,’ declares the LORD, ‘then the offspring of Israel also will cease from being a nation before Me forever.’” (Jeremiah 31:36) For as the Lord promised, mankind will never again be destroyed by water, for this time mankind will be destroyed by fire. And the Lord will return and harvest his fruits, “but each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:20-26) For the author of death is Satan, and the author of life is the Father. For Satan is EVIL, but the Lord reverses all

216

things, so that man can LIVE. And when the seventh angel has completed his task, Christ the Lamb will be victorious. For no longer will Satan rule this world, for “the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15)

Addendum 9 The Greek Alphabet and God, the Author of Creation Signs, Science, & Symbols of the Prophecy To Andrew the Prophet Completed September 15, 2007

“My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” (Psalms 45:1)

α

The Father, The Beginning Numerical value = 1

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) What is alpha? It is the first letter of the alphabet and represents the number 1. But more importantly it represents God the Father, the author and the letter of all creation. “‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’” (Revelation 1:8) In the system of Greek numbers, the number 1 represents singleness and unity, just as the Father is Oneness, Unity, and completeness in Himself. For the Father is the all in all. “When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One

218

who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.” (1 Corinthians 15:28)

The symbol also resembles a “fish”, the universal symbol for Christianity. The origin of this symbol comes from a Greek translation of the verse, “Jesus Christ, Son of God Savior; Iesous Christos Theou Yios Soter.” The first letters of each of these Greek words, when put together spell “ichthys”, the Greek word for “fish” (IX ӨY Σ). And in His image, He taught His disciples to be fishers of men.

“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)

219

Ω

God, The End Numerical value = 800

“‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’” (Revelation 1:8) What is omega? It is the final letter of the Greek alphabet. But more importantly it represents God, the final and eternal author and letter of creation. “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.’” (Revelation 22:12-13) It is also the 24th letter of the Greek alphabet, just as God will return in the 24th hour, to destroy Satan and his dominion on earth. “Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.” (Revelation 18:10) And the literal meaning of the word is “great” (mega - mega meaning great). And it is reflected in the Muslim verse, “God is great”. “For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God.” (Psalms 86:10) Finally what does the symbol look like? For yes, it is a nuclear mushroom! “And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire.” (Revelation 15:2)

220

The Omega - The End

221

Π

Christ, The Gate Numerical value = 80

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13) What does Π look like? It is a gate back to the Father, just as Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life, for He is the narrow Gate. Einstein once said that Π was the number of God, and that if he could figure out what Π represented, then He could figure out who God is, because it is the number of God. And it truly is for Christ is the transcendental number Π. We all originate from the Father, and have fallen away from Him. Christ interceded on our behalf, and gave us the Gate to return to the Father. To complete the circle of life, we must go through Christ the Gate. And what is the formula to complete the circle? It is C = Π • d for circumference, the path back to the Father, is equal to Π times the diameter, the distance between you and the Father. Solomon was commanded by God to build His temple, and was told that Π was equal to 3. “Now he made the sea of cast metal ten cubits from brim to brim... and thirty cubits in circumference.”(1 Kings 7:23). And obviously, that was nowhere close to returning to the Father. And there are now computers programs, that calculate the value of Π to millions of decimal places, yet they are all wrong. Many have come close, but none has returned to the Father on their own accord, because Π is infinite and man is

222

not. That is until Christ came. For He is the Way the Truth and the Life, for He is the narrow Gate. No one can go to the Father except through Him. When we go through Him, then we will return to the Father. No one can return to the Father except through Him! And what does this symbol represent? This represents theta (θ) the symbol of the Son of God. (more on theta at a future date)

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:14)

ι Iota, The Holy Spirit Numerical value = 10

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26) Iota is a beautiful number, because like the Holy Spirit, it may appear insignificant and is often invisible, but in actuality is ubiquitous and powerful. “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,’ Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.” (Psalms 139:7-12) Iota may be the smallest letter of the Greek alphabet, but in Greek numerals iota represents the powerful value of 10. The number ten represents perfection and productivity. In like manner, the Holy Spirit is God’s perfection, and gives His servants great productivity. In mathematics, it is the root of our numerical system. The reason for this choice is assumed to be that humans have ten fingers or digits. The number 10 is a powerful and productive number because the value of any integer can be increased tenfold simply by adding a zero to the end of it. And interestingly, the Chinese numeral for ten resembles a cross. And of course, the number 10 is repeated

224

throughout the history of God. For the Israelites were instructed to give one-tenth of their produce to God, and God’s finger wrote on stone the Ten Commandments, and God inflicted Egypt with Ten Plagues. Therefore, just as the iota represents numerical power, perfection and productivity, the Holy Spirit represents Godly power and perfection and spiritual productivity. In other words, the gifts of the Spirit produce great power through the fruits of our labor. “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:5) Iota is also used as a marker of pronunciation by diphthongs. Before the development of the classical Greek alphabet, there was no way of distinguishing between long and short vowels. Thus diphthongs, or iotas, were added to the words to distinguish the pronunciation of these vowels. And these iotas can now be seen throughout various languages including the Czech, Dutch, English, Faroese, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Northern Sami, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish languages. So just as the iota has ubiquitously influenced the pronunciation of many languages, so has the Holy Spirit ubiquitously penetrated the voice of all the nations. “But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.” (Mark 13:11) “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4) The iota has also penetrated the written languages and the artistry of the world. The iota was written as an ‘iota subscript’ in the original languages. The ‘iota subscript’ is a way of writing the letter iota as a small vertical stroke beneath

225

a vowel. Eventually, they became incorporated as serifs, or non-structural details, on the ends of strokes that make up letters and symbols. For example:

CHRIST = serif

CHRIST = no serif

These embellishments were also incorporated into the Asian and Aramaic written languages. Thus, just as the iota has penetrated all the written and artistic languages, so has the Holy Spirit penetrated the written and artistic languages of all the nations. “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.” (Exodus 31:3-5) And like the letter of the languages of the nations, our hearts have become the letter of the Spirit. “You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3) “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18) And this is the one scriptural passage that directly refers to the letter iota. “Jot” translates to

226

“iota” in Greek, and is paraphrased as “not one iota of difference”. This was the foundation of the theological debate at the First Council of Nicaea regarding the nature of the Trinity. The argument centered on which of two Greek words, differing only by a single “iota”, should be used to distinguish Jesus’ relationship in the Holy Trinity. One word “homoousious” meant that Jesus was of the same substance as God the Father, and the other “homoiousious” meant that Jesus was of a similar substance. The verdict, of course, was that they are “homoousious”. They are all of the same substance ...the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are Three in One: the Holy Trinity. And the numerical values of the Greek symbols that pertain to the Trinity are as follows: α =1 Π = 80 ι = 10 Ω = 800

If the Trinity is One, then Ω = α • Π • ι 800 = 1 • 80 • 10 800 = 800

Thus, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One!

227

Finally in mathematics, the imaginary unit, iota, allows the real numerical system to be extended into the complex numerical system. Real numbers are those numbers that can be represented by “real” numerical values; in other words, numbers that exist in the “real world”. Complex numbers are also called imaginary numbers, and represent those numbers that were once thought to be nonexistent, but presently are utilized to understand quantum physics and the theory of relativity. The numerical value of an imaginary unit is:

ι = √−1 which is an impossible value by real number mathematics. In other words, they are numbers that presently do not exist in our physical world, but do exist in another realm (a parallel universe); a realm that we do not yet understand. Thus, as the imaginary unit, iota, in mathematics is used to transcend numbers from a real set of values into an imaginary set of values, so does the Holy Spirit transcend mankind from the mortal realm of this earth, to the eternal realm of the Father’s kingdom. “Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.” (Revelations 2:4)

An Interlude Sealing the 144,000 To Andrew the Prophet Completed August 4, 2010

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads." Revelation 7:1-3

The dates of the great quake have been delayed so that the prophecy may be fulfilled. For time is always subject to God, as His servants and angels complete the task at hand. For their task is to seal the 144,000 and complete the fifth seal before the sixth seal is opened. And the word seal means "to confirm or to make secure". (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) For seal is derived from the Greek root sphragis which means "a signet". And the four angels have held back the winds of God's wrath until the 144,000 have been sealed. For the Lord shall seal them with the signet of His ring, the sign of the King on their

231

foreheads. "Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads." (Revelation 14:1-5) For the Father sealed His promise of treasure and trepidation from the beginning. "Is it not laid up in store with Me, sealed up in My treasuries? Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the impending things are hastening upon them. " (Deuteronomy 32:34-35) And the prophecy has been sealed until the end. For as He told His prophet Daniel, "'Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!" (Daniel 12:9-12) And now the Lion has returned, and He is worthy to open the seals of the prophecy. For "I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?' And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it. Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it; and one of the elders said to me, 'Stop weeping; behold, the

232

Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.'" (Revelation 5:1-5) And the Lion has purchased the seal of the saints to reign upon the earth. "And they sang a new song, saying, 'Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth." (Revelation 5:9-10) And His saints wait patiently for the fifth seal to be completed. For "when the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, 'How long, O Lord , holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also." (Revelation 6:9-11) And now we wait patiently while the 144,000 are sealed. For when the sixth seal is opened, then all men will know that the end is near.
