IV.PROCEDURES
A. Introduction
B. Development  The teacher will read a story about “Trees help prevent
flooding”.
 The teacher will ask the students to take some notes for she will
be asking questions after the story.
 After the teacher discuss the story and explain it to her pupils,
She will then ask questions and relate it to her topic.
 The teacher will explain her topic to her pupils.
 The teacher will tell her pupils that they will continue the lesson
tomorrow.
C. Engagement Activity 1
 The teacher will give a short selection that will be flashed on
the screen entitled “What is an earthquake?”.
 The teacher will read the selection, and then she will give
time for the pupils to read it again.
 The teacher will ask the pupils to find sentences from the
selection that expresses explanations.
D. Assimilation Mind Recap Activity

 The teacher will provide important points about the topic, a


brief recap about Explanation text type.

Assessment
Direction: Draw a happy face if it is an explanation and sad face if
it is not an explanation.
