RE: PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST W065550-070920)
Dear Ms. Call, Public records request W06550-070920 was submitted on June 29, 2020 and requested all records from May 26, 2020 through the date
of
the request. The request was closed as "completed" on July 27, 2020. After a review
of
the documents produced in response
to
the above-referenced request, we have found a number
of
documents
to
be missing. MISSING DOCUMENTS REFERENCED IN
THE
RECORDS PRODUCED
1.
Mr. Bunker produced text messages he had with an Adrian West. On June 19, 2020, Mr. Bunker texted Mr. West
..
hat
's your email so
/
can send you some stuff?
Mr. West replied with his email address. No subsequent email was produced.
2.
n
email exchange was produced between Mr. Bunker and Stephen Kent in Canada, relating to the fact someone had provided Mr. Bunker with a number
of
Scientology books. In that exchange, Mr. Bunker stated
/
am enclosing
th
e receipts they sent me
.
These receipts are not included in the email thread with Mr. Kent.

3.
In addition to not including the receipts as part
of
the email with Mr. Kent, Mr. Bunker did not produce the original email where
he
was originally provided the receipts or a copy
of
the envelope and the receipts
if
they were mailed).
Nor
did
he
provide any other records correspondence, text messages,
phone
logs) with the individual s) who gave Mr. Bunker what
he
references as
the fitll collection
o
Scientology material.
4.
On June 19, 2020, a Daphne Brulee asked Mr. Bunker
if
she could give him a call.
He
responded and provided his telephone number. Later that evening, Mr. Bunker forwarded links
to
newspaper articles that indicate there must have been some discussion between him and Ms. Brulee, but no telephone call log was provided.
5.
A
May
30, 2020 Facebook private message between Mr. Bunker and Eric Green, a podcaster, indicates Mr. Bunker had installed a texting and communications app called
LINE
which he then used to communicate with Mr. Green. No records from the LINE app have been produced. OTHER REFERENCES TO MISSING
RECORDS
6.
In prior correspondence, we have referenced Mr.
Bunker's
communications with full-time anti-Scientology blogger Tony Ortega never a Scientologist but former editor
of
Village Voice
who operated the sex trafficking website backpage.com). On June
8,
2020, Mr. Ortega wrote a blog about the public records requests the Church has made, noting
Mark [Bunker} sent us an email about his Disqus postings and asked
or
help retrieving them. In that email, he attached Scientology's most recent request from Flag Service Organization secretary Glen Stilo.
Mr. Bunker has not produced this email, or any response from Mr. Ortega. To be clear, the request being referenced would have been the request the Church made on May 26;
as
the blog posting was made on June
8,
the correspondence referenced would have been responsive
to
this records request, which was made on June 29.
7.
On June
11,2020,
Mr. Bunker posted a video from the public meeting
of
the
City's
Downtown Development Board. That video generated a number
of
comments before Mr. Bunker either deleted
or
de-listed the video and replaced it with a longer clip. While Mr. Bunker did provide the longer

video and
comments
generated
by
that longer clip, the original
comments
were not produced.
INCOMPLETE VIDEO
8.
The
records Mr.
Bunker
provided include a
number
of
documents relating to a complaint
made
by a Rebecca
Kaye
regarding a rainwater drainage problem
on
property in her neighborhood. Despite a warning from the City Manager that Ms.
Kaye
might have another agenda
[TAB 1]
Mr.
Bunker became
very involved in the issue.
It
appears the reason Mr.
Bunker was
interested in helping Ms.
Kaye
was because
she
had leapt to the conclusion that the property at issue was owned
by
a Scientologist -and
Downtown Development
Board
Chairman
-Paris Morfopoulos. On
June
8, 2020, Ms.
Kaye
texted Mr. Bunker:
Surprisingly, the issue in the Glenwood Neighborhood
is
being caused by a man named: MORFOPOULOS, PARIS

Umm
anyone

know???

Mr.
Bunker
responded
by
calling Ms. Kaye that evening. Less than
24
hours later, Mr.
Bunker
met with Ms.
Kaye
at the location
of
the
offending
property, creating a video while there, a copy
of
which
was
produced as a public record. In addition to meeting with Mr.
Bunker on
several occasions, according to public records, Ms.
Kaye
went
on
to
meet
individually with each
councilmember on
the subject. Shortly after those meetings, Ms.
Kaye
told Mr.
Bunker she
had discovered that Mr. Morfopolous was not involved in the property. Rather, the property
owners

The
video produced
by
Mr
.
Bunker
appears to have been edited.
It
begins with Ms.
Kaye
speaking mid-sentence and ends with several seconds
of
a still image.
We
would like the entire original video produced.
CONCLUSION The
fact the above records have not been produced
by
Mr.
Bunker
causes us concern that there are additional documents Mr.
Bunker
is withholding.
