The Indian Railways has installed two 'Health ATMs' at the Charbagh railway station in
Lucknow.
The kiosks, promoted by YOLO Health ATM, provide 16 health check-ups for Rs 50-
100. There are two types of check-ups -- a 9-minute one that costs Rs 100, and a 6-minute
one that costs Rs 50. The report is delivered instantly to the email or smartphone of the
user.

India Justice Report 2019: Maharashtra holds top, UP ranks bottom
Maharashtra has topped India’s first-ever judicial ranking of states list among 18
large and mid-sized states. The ranking announced on November 7, was given by the
India Justice Report (IJR) 2019 and is based on the capacity of various states to deliver
justice to their citizens.
While Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Haryana followed Maharashtra in the list, Bihar
and Uttar Pradesh are at the bottom. Goa topped the list of seven Small States, followed
by Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.

Office Of Chief Justice Comes Under RTI Act
The Chief Justice of India is a public authority and his office comes under the Right to
Information (RTI) Act, the Supreme Court ruled today in a landmark judgment,
emphasizing that "in a constitutional democracy, judges can't be above the law".
Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and three future Chief Justices were part of the
constitution bench that agreed that transparency and accountability go hand-in-hand. The
judges reaffirmed a 2010 Delhi High Court judgment and dismissed appeals by the
Secretary General and Central Public Information Officer of the Supreme Court.
Environment Ministry begins its “Swachh-Nirmal Tat Abhiyan”
Environment Ministry began with its cleanliness cum awareness drive in 50 beaches under
a campaign called “Swachh-Nirmal Tat Abhiyan”.
The drive began from November 11 and will continue till November 17. Beaches in
Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra
Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka and Kerala have been identified for the campaign after
consultation with the state governments.

Home Ministry Launches Campaign to End Violence Against Women
The Home Ministry in collaboration with the UN Women flagged off an awareness
campaign to end violence against women from Sultanpur metro station in Delhi.
The initiative is part of the #OrangeTheWorld global campaign. As part of the campaign,
people would be made aware about India's single emergency helpline 112, an
internationally recognised emergency number used in several countries.

The Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) has recommended an amount of Rs. 8754.23

"Crime in India-2017", NCRB report
The latest annual crime data, "Crime in India-2017", released by the National Crime
Records Bureau (NCRB). There was an increase of 3.6 per cent in criminal cases in 2017
compared to 2016.
Uttar Pradesh was followed by Maharashtra with 31,979 cases and West Bengal
30,002 cases.
In 2017, Madhya Pradesh registered maximum number of rape cases at 5562, 97.5%
of which were committed by known persons
Sangai Festival 2019 begins in Manipur
Manipur Sangai Festival 2019 started from 24th November. The festival is organized by the
State Tourism Department and biggest festival held annually to promote tourism. The
formal inaugural function of the festival was held at Hapta Kangjeibung at Imphal.
The festival is held at different parts of Manipur. During the festival, cultural programmes,
traditional games, folk dance and classical music will be performed by different
communities of the State as well as from other States. The festival will conclude on the 30th
November.

Chattisgarh Declares Guru Ghasidas National Park in Korea District as Tiger Reserve
The Chhattisgarh government has decided to declare Guru Ghasidas National Park in
the state's Korea district as a tiger reserve.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Chhattisgarh State Wildlife Board chaired by Chief
Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Presently the state has three tiger reserves, namely Indravati in Bijapur district,

ISRO launches CARTOSAT 3
ISRO has successfully launched its third-generation earth-imaging satellite into space
from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
The launch will enhance India's ability in high-resolution imaging and also reinforce India
as a global launch destination for small satellites using its workhorse rocket Polar Satellite
Launch Vehicle.
Besides the CARTOSAT 3 satellite, the PSLV C-47 rocket carried 13 nano satellites
from the US, roped in through the new commercial arm New Space India.
India, Japan hold first 'two-plus-two' dialogue
India and Japan on 30th November held their inaugural foreign and defence ministerial
dialogue. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar led the
Indian delegation while the Japanese side was headed by Foreign Minister Toshi-mitsu
Motegi and Minister of Defence Taro Kono.
Aim: To give further momentum to their special strategic partnership, particularly in the
maritime domain.
The Ministers condemned the threat posed to regional security by terrorist networks
operating out of Pakistan and called upon it to take resolute and irreversible action against
them and fully comply with international commitments including to FATF.
Global ratings agency Moody’s cut its outlook for India’s credit ratings to “negative”
from “stable”, citing the ongoing economic slowdown, financial stress among rural
households, weak job creation, and the liquidity crunch in non-banking financial
companies.
RBI sets up 3-member panel to assist DHFL administrator
The Reserve Bank has constituted a three-member Advisory Committee to assist the
Administrator of DHFL in discharge of his duties. The members of the Advisory
Committee are Rajiv Lall, Non-Executive Chairman, IDFC First Bank Ltd; N S Kannan,
Managing Director and CEO, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co; and NS Venkatesh,
Chief Executive, Association of Mutual Funds in India.
The decision "owing to governance concerns and defaults by DHFL in meeting various
payment obligations".
OECD cuts global 2020 growth forecast
The OECD trimmed its 2020 global economic growth forecast and said it did not see a
strong rebound in 2021 owing to risks stemming from trade tensions.
The Paris-based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development now
estimates that business activity around the world will expand by 2.9 per cent next year, a
decline of 0.1 percentage points from a previous forecast issued in September.
In 2021, the OECD, which groups the world's wealthiest nations, sees global economic
growth edging back up to 3.0 per cent, according to its November 2019 Economic
Outlook.
RBI revises framework on currency swap arrangement for SAARC nations
Strengthen financial stability and economic cooperation, the Reserve Bank of India on
26th November revised the framework on currency swap arrangement for SAARC
countries till 2022.
A currency swap between countries is an agreement to exchange currencies with
predetermined terms and conditions.
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
are part of SAARC grouping.
Under the framework for 2019-22, the central bank will continue to offer swap
arrangement within the overall corpus of $2 billion.
Govt. GST collection at Rs 3.26 lakh cr in FY'20
The Central GST collection so far this fiscal stood at Rs 3.26 lakh crore.
"The Budget Estimates for Central Goods and Services Tax (GST) for 2019-20 has been
fixed at Rs 6,63,343 crore. The actual net GST collection for the Centre till October 2019
in current fiscal year is Rs 3,26,490 crore.
Authorised capital of Food Corporation of India enhanced to Rs 10,000 cr
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
has approved to increase the authorized capital of Food Corporation of India (FCI) from
the existing 3,500 crore rupees to 10,000 crore rupees.
RIL becomes first Indian firm to hit Rs 10 trillion market capitalisation
Reliance Industries (RIL) on 28th November became the first Indian company to hit Rs 10
trillion market capitalisation (m-cap) after the stock price hit a new high of Rs 1,584 on
the BSE. The oil-to-telecom conglomerate's m-cap zoomed to Rs 10,02,380 crore during the
trade on the BSE.

Former deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), H R Khan has been
appointed as the first chairman of the steering committee of the Code for Responsible
Lending (CRL) in micro-credit.
The CRL is a self-regulatory step for the micro-credit industry making diverse entities like
banks, NBFC-MFIs and NBFCs adhere to standards of customer protection.
CRL was launched in September by MFIN and Sa-Dhan, an RBI-recognised association
of MFIs, along with Finance Industry Development Council, an association of NBFCs.

India to host men’s Hockey World Cup in 2023
The Executive Board of the International Hockey Federation on 8th November
announced that India would be hosting the Men's Hockey World Cup in 2023. Spain and
Netherlands have been confirmed as the co-hosts for the 2022 FIH Hockey Women's
World Cup.
The Men's Hockey World Cup would be played from January 13-29, 2023 while the
Women's World Cup would be played from July 1-17, 2022. The venues for the
tournaments will be announced by the host nations.
