for remote/outdoor presentations
1) The speakers can be daisy-chained if necessary (i.e. one speaker plugged into the amp, another speaker plugged into the first speaker); but they may sound unbalanced that way. Better to follow the diagram: 2) DO NOT power on the amp when no speakers are attached; this will greatly reduce the life of the amp. 3) Make sure you check that ALL VOLUME knobs are turned ALL THE WAY DOWN before turning on the power (this includes each channel, the Tape Level, and the Master). 4) Digital Delay (DD) pushbutton should be turned OFF. 5) CD player should be connected to 'TAPE IN' on rear panel; colored plugs should match the holes (Red for Right, Black/White for Left). 6) Use the CD player's AC adapter for power. Running a live show on batteries is a bad idea; but having fresh batteries loaded anyway is a good precaution.
