Activity Information

CCW (CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON) 11-3320 2 ARRESTS

On 01/21/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township stopped a vehicle on Woodglen Avenue near Briardale
Court. The Deputies contacted the driver and front seat passenger. The Deputies determined the driver had an
outstanding warrant for his arrest, and did not have a driver’s license on his person. The Deputies searched the
vehicle and discovered two loaded handguns and multiple baggies of marijuana. The front seat passenger also had
suspected marijuana on his person and was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The driver, a seventeen year-old male Superior Township resident, and the front seat passenger, a nineteen year-old
male Superior Township resident were both arrested and transported to the County Jail.

The case will be turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Officer for review of multiple criminal charges
on both subjects.

BURGLARY 11-3323

On 01/21/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township responded to the 1000 block of Medford Drive (East of
Woburn Drive) for a burglary complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) opened an unlocked back door to
gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 10:00 AM through 7:30 PM on 01/21/2011. A television set was
taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

FLEE AND ELUDE 11-3352 ARREST

On 01/22/2011, Deputies assigned to Ypsilanti Township attempted to stop a vehicle on Grove Road at McCartney
Avenue. The vehicle failed to stop and continued westbound on Grove Road and attempted to turn onto a side street
and lost control, striking a house. The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, got out of the vehicle and fled on
foot. The Deputies gave chase, on foot, and caught the suspect several blocks way. The driver, a nineteen year-old
male Ypsilanti Township resident, was taken into custody without further incident and transported to St. Joseph

Hospital for back pain and asthma problems. The driver was later released and turned over to Deputies and
transported to the County Jail. The homeowner, and only occupant of the residence, was not injured.

The case will be forwarded to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review of multiple criminal charges.

driver’s side window to gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 11:00 PM on 01/21/2011 through 3:00 PM
on 01/22/2011. A GPS system was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

Bagley Avenue) for a larceny from automobile complaint. The Deputies discovered the suspect(s) opened an
unlocked vehicle door to gain entry. The time of occurrence was between 2:00 PM on 01/22/2011 through 4:15 PM
on 01/23/2011. A purse was taken, which contained miscellaneous credit cards and a driver license. There is no
suspect information at this time.

On 01/21/2011, Deputies assigned to Countywide patrol responded to Old US 12 and Sylvan Road, in Sylvan
Township for a vehicle in the snow bank. The Deputies arrived and determined the driver, a fifty-five year-old
female Sylvan Township resident, was involved in a one vehicle crash and was operating a vehicle while intoxicated
(OWI). The driver was transported to Chelsea Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The case will be turned
over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review of criminal charges.

follow-up investigation. The Deputies contacted a subject and discovered he was wanted on an outstanding felony
