The pie chart shows the amount of money that a children's charity located in the USA
spent and received in one year, 2016.

THE FIRST PIE CHART BELOW GIVES A BREAKDOWN OF PERCENTAGES OF RAISED MONEY
FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES, WHILE THE SECOND ONE GIVES INFORMATION ABOUT THE
PERCENTAGES OF EXPENDITURES, BOTH IN A CHILDREN´S CHARITY FROM THE USA IN 2016.

IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT THE MONEY THAT CHILDREN´S CHARITY RECEIVED CAME FROM
DIFFERENT SOURCES SUCH AS DONATED FOOD, COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS, PROGRAM
REVENUE, INVESTMENT INCOME, GOVERNMENT GRANTS AND OTHER INCOME. THE SOURCE
OF DONATED FOOD WAS BY FAR THE REVENUE SOURCE MOST USED WITH 86.6% FOLLOWED
BY THE COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS WITH 10.4%. THE AMOUNT OF MONEY RECEIVED FROM
THE SOURCE OF OTHER INCOME WAS 0.4%, WHILE THE PROGRAM REVENUE AND
INVESTMENT INCOME WERE FAIRLY THE SAME WITH 0.2%.

FURTHERMORE, THE MONEY THEY SPENT WAS DISTRIBUTED IN THREE GROUPS: PROGRAM
SERVICES, FUNDRAISING AND THE EXPENDITURE OF MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL. THE
EXPENDITURE MOST USED WAS IN THE PROGRAM SERVICES WITH 95.8% WHILE THE
EXPENDITURES LESS USED WERE FUNDRAISING AND MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL WITH 2.6%
AND 1.6%, RESPECTIVELY. IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT THE CHILDREN´S CHARITY SPENT LESS
THAN WHAT THEY RECEIVED.

OVERALL, THE MOST STRIKING FEATURES WERE THE FACTS THAT THE MAYORITY OF RAISED
MONEY CAME FROM DONATED FOOD AND ROUGHLY ALL THE MONEY THEY SPENT WAS IN
PROGRAM SERVICES. ALSO, IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT THE TOTAL REVENUE SOURCES
EXCEEDED OUTGOINGS.

Between 2000 and 2009.

THE CHART ILLUSTRATES THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS ATTENDING FOUR


DIFFERENT TYPES OF SECONDARY SCHOOL FROM 2000 TO 2009. THE GENERAL TREND
IS THAT COMMUNITY SCHOOLS EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE WHILE THE
OTHERS GRADUALLY DECLINED OVER THE PERIOD.

TO START OFF WITH, THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS ATTENDING COMMUNITY


SCHOOLS WAS A SMALL MINORITY OF 12% IN 2000, YET IT DRAMATICALLY INCREASED
TO 58%, BY 2009. THIS MEANS THAT MORE THAN THE HALF OF PUPILS ATTEND
COMMUNITIES SCHOOLS AFTER NINE YEARS.

IN CONTRAST, THE OTHER TYPES SCHOOL DID NOT EXPERIENCED THE SAME TREND
AND THE MOST SIGNIFICANT FALL WAS IN THE VOLUNTARY-CONTROLLED SCHOOLS
WHICH DROP FROM 52% IN 2000 TO 20% IN 2009. SIMILARLY, THE PERCENTAGE OF
PUPILS IN GRAMMAR SCHOOL DROPPED BY HALF IN THE SAME PERIOD WHILE THE
SPECIALIST SCHOOLS THAT START WITH THE SAME PERCENTAGE AS COMMUNITY
SCHOOLS HAD A SLIGHT DECREASE TO 10%.

OVERALL, THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGE WAS THAT STUDENTS ATTENDING


COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SOARED FROM 2000 TO 2009 WHEREAS THE OTHER TYPES OF
SECONDARY SCHOOLS FALL STEADILY.
