FAITH : Calling Things that are not as though they were.
CALLING THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE There is Almighty Divine Power in the Word of God. The Word of God is full of Quickening Power and Zoe Life. The Word of God has Divine Dynamic Quickening Transforming Power.
The Lord Jesus said : ....the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life..... . ( John 6 verse 63 ).
Solomon, said .... 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof..... . ( Proverbs 18 verse 21 ). The words we speak have life or they have death. The words we speak can build a life , build a character, build a home, build a nation or they can destroy a life, destroy a home or destroy a nation. Why so much hatred ? Why so much bitterness ? Why so much suffering ? .... 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof..... . ( Proverbs 18 verse 21 ). The wise watch what they say. May God help us to be wise . To speak when we should speak and to be silent when we should be silent .May God help us to say what we mean and mean what we say. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 12 verses 35 to 37 : ..... 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.... . ( Matthew 12 verse 35 to 37 ).
The Saints of God know that the Bible tells us that Abraham begat Isaac, Isaac begat Jacob and Jacob begat the twelve tribes of Israel. The Saints of God also know that God blessed Abraham and the Blessings of Abraham were passed on to the seed of Abraham. The Saints of God also know that Abraham was a man of faith. He had access to Divine Providence. Abraham by revelation knew that God calls things that are not as though they were. On Mount Moriah Abraham went to offer up Isaac . Isaac was loved by Abraham. This reminds us of John 3 verse 16.
.... 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life...... .
Remember when Isaac asked his father in Genesis 22 verse 7 .... where is the lamb for a burnt offering? .... , the Bible says that Abraham told his son Isaac. ...My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:.... . ( Genesis 22 verse 8). In Genesis 22 verses 1 to 18 Abraham seen with his own eyes that He is JEHOVAH JIREH. In Genesis 22 verses 1 to 18 we read :
........ 1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
And Abraham rose up early in the morning, an d saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the pla ce afar off.
And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice........ .
Abraham knew that in His Presence there is fulness of Joy. He walked with God in the Rhythm of his Word. The Word of God pulsating within Him. He agreed with the Word of God. Abraham .... called things that are not as though they were.... .( Romans 4 verse 17 ). Moses trusted in THE LORD GOD . Pharaoh and his army ...trusted in chariots , and some in horses .... . ( Psalm 20 verses 6 and 7 ). There was panic. Egyptians behind them. The Red Sea in front of them. The children of Israel looked at their circumstances. They looked at the horses and chariots of Egypt. They were afraid. ....Fear brings torment.... . Fear is an enemy of faith. Moses looked to the promised Word of God. Moses looked to God. At the Red Sea Moses prayed.
..... 13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
The LORD shall fight for you , and ye shall hold your peace... . ( Exodus 14 verses 13 to 14).
The ten spies had a negative spirit. Joshua and Caleb looked to God s Promised Word and believed that God was more than able to give Israel the promised land. ( Numbers 13 verse 1 to 33).
David prophesied the destruction of Goliath in 1 Samuel 16 verse 32 to 51.
........ 32 And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail. And David girded his sword upon his arm our, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him. And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance. And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David b y his gods. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.

And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and d rew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled..... . When those chariots surrounded Elijah and Gehazi, Elijah was not afraid. Elijah knew that those that were with him were greater than those that were against him. Elijah prayed and asked God to open Gehazi s eyes. ..... 1 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye. And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.

So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewe d him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants , saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man o f God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?

And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be wit h us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire ro und about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. And Elisha said unto them, This is not th e way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wo uldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master. And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, h e sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel...... .
The LORD GOD has given the Saints a sure word of Prophecy. The Word of God will not fail. God s Kingdom will be established on earth.

Word of God and declared that his predicament in the belly of the whale were lying vanities. Jonah declared ... They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.... . ( Jonah 2 verse 8 ).
The Prophets and saints of old had the secret to answered prayer. Enoch , Noah, Abraham. The secret to answered prayer is to abide in God s Presence by agreeing with His Word , living a life worthy of the Gospel so that satan the accuser of the brethren has no legal grounds to condemn us. The Lord Jesus said in Mark 11 verses 22 to 26: ........ 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that y e receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses....... . God is in control. He knows your need. He said in His word. ...before they call, I will answer and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.... .( Isaiah 65 verse24 ). God knows your needs. He has already answered your prayers. Amen. Our spiritual eyes need to be opened. ......Where there is no vision , the people perish.... . ( Proverbs 29 verse 18 ). The Saints Don t pray the problem. They pray the solution. ..... You can have what you say..... . The saints ...call things that are not , as though they were ..... ( Romans 4 verse 17 ).You can speak to the mountain and tell it where exactly it can move to. You can speak to the tree and tell it where it should go . The Saints do not focus on their circumstances happening around them but focus on God s promise for their day.
Noah, Abraham , Moses , Joshua and Caleb .David , Elijah ,Jonah and other Prophets and Saints of God , called things that are not as though they were. So must the Believer today hold on to God s Word regardless and stand on the Word of God and declare the Whole Counsel of God. The Word of God will not fail. God watches over His Word and hastens to perform it. He confirms His Word with signs and wonders following. The Will of God in heaven will be established on earth. ( Matthew 6 verse 10 ). In the Book of Daniel we see the four kingdoms of man giving way to the Kingdom of God. ( Daniel Chapter 2 ). AMEN AND AMEN. 8
