III. ESSAY
If given the opportunity, would you choose to run again for following academic year? If
yes, what position would you opt for and why? If otherwise, kindly state your reason
below.
Yes. Leadership creates change that can only be solidified by maturity, position allows us
to continue projects that proved to be beneficial for our constituents. If elected this year,
and given the chance to run again next year, I would take the opportunity to run for a
higher position. Leadership through succession. it ensures that new potential heads of an
organization are properly trained and developed by their predecessors. If I feel that I am
ready to take on the responsibility of a higher position with the experience I got from this
term in office, then I would take the chance to serve with a higher stake. I believe a
leader should learn first how the be lead before stepping up, that produces leaders with
competence and substanc
Why are you running for your chosen position and why do you think you should be
elected?
Scanning through the offered positions of the executive board I compared my skills with
the available seats in office, and upon studying, VP Marketing suits my experience and
capabilities in leadership, I have done multiple projects under different organizations
that showcases my resourcefulness in implementing projects with wide reach and impact
with minimum cost but wide scale benefits.
I hereby declare all above information are true to the best of my abilities. I allow the electoral
committee to verify all statements stated herein and abide to all rules and regulations
stipulated in this application form. I am given the rights to inquire for the election results in a
respectful manner and will uphold the highest respect, loyalty and compliance to the
organization whether or not I win the election. I will extend my help for the benefit of the
organization until my last term in my program.
I have read and understood all the rules stated here and in the constitution and by-laws of the
organization. I will strictly follow confidentiality protocols and would not do anything to
disgrace the name of the organization.
My agenda for my first terms as VP marketing would be to engage more psych students to be
involved with the psych community, to revive the psych spirit. Upon reviewing previous
implemented projects, I would bring fresh ideas and new projects that is out of the ordinary to
spike curiosity to the students I would also try to improve relationships between the
organization and the students, as much respect is needed for recognition of authority, I believe
it is in the best interest of the organization to establish a casual relationship with the students,
what beats respect is trust. If the students would see the organization not just as a higher
authority of respected officers but a compassionate group of leaders, then engagement would
come as easy as an invitation and promotion. This breeds a psych society that is united
throughout batches.
In the mission establishing relationships within batches, I would like to motivate the
organization to start an alumni association, based on my experience, have an alumni
association of batches that came before us would be a great tool not just for supporting events
but also providing guidance and assistance given that they we once was in our shoes, this would
also be a great way of giving back to the institution that honed them to be where they are.
This would create a legacy and connections that lasts for a lifetime and transcends generations.
This position will allow me to share my experiences with the organization in hopes of
improving existing projects and implementations, to be able to contribute towards making the
constituents college experience as fun and fruitful as possible defines service that I sought after.
I hope this opportunity will be given to me to be part of this institution and create ripples of
change that will turn into massive waves of impact.
