Bharti Walmart Private Limited is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises, one of India's
leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri-business, insurance and retail, and
Walmart, the world’s leading retailer, renowned for its efficiency and expertise in logistics,

carry and back-end supply chain management operations in line with Government of India

Wholesale” opened in Amritsar in May 2009.A typical cash-and-carry store stands between
50,000 and 100,000 square feet and sells a wide range of fresh, frozen and chilled foods, fruits
and vegetables, dry groceries, personal and home care, hotel and restaurant supplies, clothing,
office supplies and other general merchandise items.

Best Price Modern Wholesale store is a one-stop shop that meets the day-to-day needs of
restaurant owners, hoteliers, caterers, fruit and vegetable resellers, kiranas, other retail store
owners, offices and institutions. The store offers an assortment of approximately 6,000 items,

wholesale cash-and-carry facilities and employ approximately 5,000 people over the next seven
years. For example, a kirana store, otherwise hard pressed for space, can take advantage of the
“Best Price Modern Wholesale” store by using it as their warehouse, thus freeing up their capital
for their businesses rather than lock it up in inventory. Offering best prices with unmatched
