preface

If you are reading this, it means you have a copy of this book, and I want to
congratulate you. This book is more than a book: every word contained here is
anointed. As you study this devotional guide and practice the biblical principles
written in it, I see your spiritual growth and development take a new turn. You will
begin to experience huge transformation by the word of God.

This devotional guide is not meant to replace your Bible. No book can replace the
Bible! You are to study it along with your Bible, as you build more intimacy in your
relationship with God.

This daily devotional guide is the first edition, and by the grace of God, it will be
released on a monthly basis, for free. WORD FOR YOU devotional contain sections of
scripture based prayers, reflections and bold declarations. I encourage you to
declare loud and clear the declarations, and always say a big amen to the prophetic
blessings.

Study this guide with meekness. Remember, it takes meekness to learn from God.
(Isaiah 61:1, Matthew 11:29).

I pray that as you study this devotional, every issue of concern in your life will be
supernaturally settled. The light of God's word will shine upon every dark area of
your life in the name of Jesus. Amen. Remain ever blessed!

in the beginning
In the beginning God created the heavens
and the earth.
GENESIS 1:1 (NKJV)

God must be at the beginning of everything that concerns you. He must be at the center
of all your decisions in life. Not that you get halfway and ask God: "What do you think
about this?" Let your attitude be: "If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence"
(Exodus 33:15). If God will not be involved in the beginning of that matter, drop it! Never
embark on a journey God won't go with you. It is better waiting than going ahead of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)


Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Acknowledge God in all you ways. Let God guide you. Don't be wise in your own eyes. Be
guided! This is a major secret of kingdom giants. Why use trial and error method in your
business when you can ask the All-knowing God from the beginning? You don't have to
miss it in the choice of your life partner. You don't have to travel for an appointment only
to find out that it has been canceled if you will commit your ways to God's hands in the
beginning.

Friend, you can win all the time if you will seek God's face all the time on all life's issues.
Success in this kingdom is not by luck; it is intentional. Seek God's direction intentionally,
and enjoy intentional results. One of the secrets of David's success during his reign as
the king of Israel is found in Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd."

There was a time the Philistines rose up against David after they heard that he had been
anointed as king. David, though a man of war —remember he had earlier killed Goliath
who was also a Philistine —did not depend on his own military skills. He went to God
first. He won a great battle there. Then in the next verse, the Philistines rose up against
him yet again. Anyone could have acted based on his earlier experience but not David.
David went to God again.
2 Samuel 5:23 (NKJV)
Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind
them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.

God has been before the beginning, and He knows the end from the beginning. With
God, you can never miss it. Let God guide all your affairs and you will win all the time.

CHRIST'S REP
Now then we are ambassadors
for Christ...
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV

The MSG version says: "we are Christ's representatives". Ambassador means: "A
minister of the highest rank sent to a foreign court to represent there his sovereign or
country." We are to represent Christ here on earth. The world have not known Christ,
neither have they seen Him (John 16:3), but they can see us. The world can see you.
Let them see Christ in you!

This is it: when we walk in love, the world will see that God is love. When we forgive
those that offends us, the world will see through us that our God forgives. It will make
more sense then when we preach to them that God loves them and that He can
forgive them all their sins. God is the Healer, but you are the one here. Lay your hand
on the sick and they will recover as Jesus has promised (Mark 16:18). Then, the world
will see that our God heals.

We are made in God's image. Let your life reflects the true nature of God. Represent
Christ well. We know that God is good, merciful, longsuffering. Let the world see those
nature in you. Our lives can do as much evangelism as our mouths (you still have to
evangelize with your mouth though). The world is looking at us. God asked the devil—
who is the god of this world: "have you noticed my servant Job...a man who fears God
and shuns evil?" (Job 1:8 NIV). Can God boast about you like that? Can He look down
and say: "that's my boy!" or "that's my daughter!"? Of course, the devil noticed Job. If he
was someone who takes bribe, misappropriate public funds or someone who always
quarrel with his neigbhour, the devil would have noticed as well. The world is looking at
us. Indeed we are a letter from Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (MSG)


You yourselves are all the endorsement we need. Your very lives are a letter that anyone can
read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it - not with ink, but with God's living Spirit;
not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives - and we publish it.

In your school, place of work, family, neighborhood, let your conduct portray Christ.
Represent Christ well! I leave you with this scripture:

Matthew 5:13-14 MSG


13 "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the
God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've
lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
14 "Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the
world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.

Prayer: Father, help me to be a faithful ambassador of


Christ on earth, in the name of Jesus.

forgive yourself
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV

Apostle Paul was a religious fanatic. He persecuted a lot of Christians of the early church.
In fact, he was there when Stephen, the first martyr was stoned (Acts 7:58). He was really
something.
Acts 8:3 NIV;
But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off
both men and women and put them in prison.

But one day, on his way do Damascus to wreak more havoc on the church, he
encountered Jesus. Why am I saying all these? You see, Jesus forgave Paul, but he had to
forgive himself too. Otherwise he won't be able to fulfill his God's-given assignments. He
could have been filled with guilt, and allowed his past to hinder him from moving
forward. But no, not Paul. He put his past behind him.

Peter denied Jesus thrice. They've been together for over three years. They dined and
wined together. He was on the mount of transfiguration with Jesus. Peter, along with
James and John, were the closest to Jesus. Jesus healed his mother-in-law. Yet Peter said
he never knew Jesus. Peter wept bitterly in repentance and his sin was forgiven, but he
had to forgive himself too. And that was why he was able to preach that powerful
sermon at Pentecost and about three thousands souls were saved.

When God has forgiven you, forgive yourself too. You don't need to feel forgiven, you are
forgiven! The devil will always try to remind you of your past to make you feel guilty. Don't
allow that. When he reminds you of your past, you can remind him of his future too; he is
hell-domed already.

Whatever it is you've done wrong in the past, let it stay in the past. When you are
genuinely sorry and asked for God's forgiveness, the blood of Jesus cleanses all your sin.

1 John 1:9 NKJV

Then forgive yourself too. Stop feeling sorry and guilty. God doesn't even keep record of
your wrongdoing. We know that God is love and 1st Corinthians 13 tells us that love 'keeps
no record of wrongs.'

Grace and truth be with you!

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I come against


every spirit of guilt trying to taunt me with
my past.

Do you have any unconfessed sin? If yes,


Reflection: confess them to God now, forsake them,
ask for forgiveness and believe you are
forgiven.

balanced diet
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth
of God.’ Matthew 4:4 NKJV

You know what a balance diet is right? We did it in school, even at nursery level. A
balanced diet is a meal containing all the six classes of food in the right proportion and
quantity. To stay healthy, we need all the six classes of food. Diseases such as
kwashiorkor, ricket, beri-beri, etc are as a result of nutritional deficiencies. I remember
when I just gained admission into the university, and my feeding habits changed. I was
always eating rice or spag, until I had piles. It was so terrible that I had to run home to my
mom for treatment.

There is such a thing called unbalanced diet spiritually. The Word of God is our spiritual
meal, and for us to have a healthy spirit, we must take the right quantity, and in the right
proportion. Some believers are so lean (their spirit) because they only take a snack of the
Word of God. They just read one or two verses of the scripture in the morning, and they
are off to work. Some only open their Bible on Sundays during sermon. While their are
those who only read devotionals or other anointed books. Now, imagine that you only eat
food on Sundays, or just snacks every morning. How will you look? Like a chronic
tuberculosis patient I guess.

Feed your spirit with the Word often. That's the only meal you can't take too much of.

Finally, you need every Word of God, not just some particular subjects of the Word. You
need to feed on the Word on healing as much as you need on holiness, prosperity, new
creation realities, faith, grace, and so on. Don't develop "itching ears" as apostle Paul
mentioned in
2 Timothy 4:3. This is when one is only interested in certain subjects of the Word
of God. There are those who only want to hear and talk about holiness or prosperity. No!
Man shall live by every word of God. Every!

Reflection: Are there ways you've been picky or selective about the
word of God? Make a conscious effort to change from now
on.

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that I will always be


attentive to all your instructions. I refuse to develop itchy
ears.

do good always
In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her
name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the
poor.
Acts 9:36 NIV

Dorcas was a wonderful character in the bible. Though she was only mentioned in one
place in the bible, we can really learn from her life. She was a disciple, and the bible tells
us that "she was always doing good and helping the poor". Then she died. The people
were so pained. They wept. There was no way dear Tabitha was going to leave now. Good
news! Peter was in a nearby town. They've heard news of how he healed the lame man at
the Beautiful, and how his shadow had healed the sick. "Tell Peter to come at once!", said
the disciples, as they sent two men to him.

It's good to be good. Be kind to people. Lend an helping hand to someone. God has been
good to you, be good to others too. Sow the seed of kindness, the harvest will come
when you need it most. It doesn't have to be something big. You may never know what
smiling at someone could do for him or her. Encourage someone who is on the verge of
giving up. Say to someone "I love you", "You look good today", "Oh! What a bright future
you have ahead." Check up on someone. Share the little you have with someone in need.
Someone has said: "A seed sown that leaves your hand, doesn't leave your life. It only goes to
secure your future."

In Acts of the apostles, the 10th chapter, the Bible tells the story of a man called
Cornelius; "a man which give much alms to the people." One day, he saw an angel in a
vision, who said to him: "Your prayers and charities have not gone unnoticed by God!" (Acts
10:4 TLB). The King James Version put it as: "Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a
memorial before God."

Do good too. It definitely won't go unnoticed. You know what happened to Dorcas next?
She was raised from the dead. You think it was mere coincidence that Peter was nearby
when she died? No, I sincerely believe it was a divine arrangement. When you sow seeds
of kindness, your reward is divine. The scripture tells us that Jesus Christ went about
doing good (Acts 10:38). Do the same. Do good always. Somebody needs you. Receive
grace!

Declaration:
I do good always. I am not weary in well doing. I help people: I
do not hurt them. The fruit of the spirit is goodness, I choose
to be good and hospitable at all times.

who will throw the first stone?


So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to
them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at
her first.” John 8:7 NKJV

A brother fell into the sin of fornication, people found out, and all you could do is tear
him down with your mouth and gossip about him at every slight opportunity. So, that
sister got pregnant. Sure, that is not good, but what's even worse is that deep within you
are happy about it. You are happy because you feel her own is too much. "She's always
doing spiri koko", "I've always known that all this sisters are fake", "You see those brothers who
call themselves pastors..." Really? Is that the best you can do? He that is without sin among
you, let him first cast a stone!

We are too quick to judge people, too quick to point out their mistakes as though we've
been expecting them to make one. And it's not like we are perfect ourselves too. Let it
end today! If you cannot help a sister struggling with sin or a brother who fell into sin, you
can at least keep quiet. She fell, must you stampede her on the ground then? Jesus Christ
died for that fellow too. God want them saved. Help he or she up.

Galatians 6:1 NKJV


Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who
are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering
yourself lest you also be tempted.

The scripture is clear as to how we should handle this: restore such one in a spirit of
gentleness. We are further warned to be careful so that we do not fall into temptation as
well. Apostle Paul was quick to add in verse 2: "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the
law of Christ." What is the law of Christ? Love! (Mark 12:30-31). Handle
everything in love, and it shall be well with you. Judge not that you be not judged. Who
wants to throw the first stone? Let us pray.

Declaration:
I put on the spirit of gentleness. I do not become
critical of my neighbour. I do not judge others, I help
people up, not pull them down.

GET YOUR MOTIVES RIGHT


When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask
with wrong motives, that you may spend what you
get on your pleasures.
JAMES 4:3 NIV

God is not obliged to answer just any prayer you pray. Your motives must be godly and
your requests must align with His will. If the reason you prayed for admission into the
university is so that you can brag and boast to your mates, then that motive is wrong. Or if
you asked for a car because your neighbour does not give you a ride every morning, and
you want one too so that you can 'show him' and ignore him whenever he needs your help
too, or so he can know that you've 'arrived'. Then, God is not obliged to answer such
prayers. I know you most likely won't include those motives while praying, but you see, you
can't deceive God; He sees your heart. Be sincere with yourself, and correct your motives
and intentions about the things you want.

Hannah had been barren for years. Peninnah her 'rival' would always mock her with her
childlessness. I am sure Hannah had prayed and prayed, but no answer. I wouldn't know
how she had been praying, it's possible she was asking God for a child so that she could
hit back at Peninnah. But I do know that the last time she prayed at Shiloh, she got her
motives right.

1 Samuel 1:10-11 NIV


In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping
bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s
misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to
the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”

She asked for a son so that she could give him back to the Lord. Her request aligned with
God's will; God already needed someone who will take over the priesthood of the house of
Eli because of the misbehavior of Eli's sons. A lot of times, we ask for things in order to
satisfy our carnal appetites and outside God's will.
1 John 5:14 NIV
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will,
he hears us.
The Word of God is the will of God.
Reflection:
Think, do you have motives outside God's will for some of your
desires and request? Now, align your motive with the Word of
God.

drawing strength on the altar of prayer (1)


If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy
strength is small.
PROVERBS 24:10 KJV

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Challenges and difficulties are
parts and parcel of life. Difficult times are testing times: they are just to test us, not to
destroy us. The Bible says that if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
The Living Bible translation says “You are a poor specimen”. Specimens are samples used
for diagnostic analysis. So when we pass through difficult times, we need to keep in mind
that the purpose is not to destroy us. They are testing times and passing a test enables us
to move to the next class. In other words, challenges are opportunity for promotion.
However, what do we do so we do not faint in times of challenges? We simply need
strength, and strength comes on the altar of prayer.

Isaiah 40:31 NKJV


“But those who wait on the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like
eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint”.

One way we wait on the lord is in prayer and fasting and scriptures says those who wait
on the lord shall renew their strength. They are liken to eagles. Eagles are admired as
symbols of power, freedom, and transcendence. Eagles are fearless, tenacious, highflyers.
Little wonder, not less than twenty-five nations use the eagle in their coat of arm.

Those who wait upon the lord in prayer shall run and not be weary. It takes strength to
run. Someone once said, “God has not called us to a stroll, but to a race”. And this race is
not a sprint but a marathon (1Corinthians 9:24-27, Heb 12:1-2). It takes strength and
wisdom to last. “They shall run and not faint” because they keep drawing strength from
God on the altar of prayer. Zeal, passion and excitement are good but cannot sustain you
or your vision.
Draw strength on the altar of prayer!

Luke 18:1 KJV


“And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men
ought always to pray and not to faint.”

Prayerlessness is directly proportional to faintness. You don’t pray, you faint. Pray always!
By God’s grace, tomorrow we will look at the examples of people in the bible who drew
strength on the altar of prayer!

drawing strength on the altar of prayer (2)


And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw,
and he knelt down and prayed........then an angel
appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Luke 22:41&43 (NKJV)

Let us take a look at some of those who drew strength on the altar of prayer in the
scripture.

JESUS: Our Lord Jesus is the perfect examples we can follow. When it was almost time
for his trial and crucifixion, he began to feel the weight. He was in agony, but our Lord
knew what to do: He went to pray and as He prayed, an angel came to strengthen Him.
Our Lord didn’t stop there, verse 44 says: “And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly...".
He drew all the
strength He could draw on the altar of prayer. His disciples on the other hand were
sleeping and it wasn’t a surprise they fled and fell in the face of temptation. They were
warned actually, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” (verse
46)

DAVID: Saul, his predecessor relied more on his own


strength. He had forgotten that “by strength no man shall prevail” (1 Samuel 2:9). He was
the tallest man in Israel (1 Samuel 9:2) so the day he saw someone far taller than him in
Goliath, he looked at him, looked at himself but didn’t look at God. David on the other
hand and came out victorious because he did not depend o his own strength.

In 1st Samuel Chapter 30, during David’s reign in Israel on a certain day, their wives and
children were taken captive. The Bible tells us that David and the people with him wept
till they had no strength to weep again. Then this happened........”But David strengthened
himself in the Lord his God”. I believe David must have prayed because David was a man
of prayer
(Psalm 55:17, 119:164). Its okay to cry, but don’t forget to pray!

SAMSON: Though he died with his enemies, Samson


received strength one last time when he prayed. Judges 16:28; Then Samson
called to the Lord saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I
pray, just this once...”

Please note that our God is not the God of last chance, but another chance. Samson
didn’t have this understanding and died with his enemies.

That He would grant you according to his riches in
glory, to be strengthened with might through his
spirit in the inner man.
Ephesians 3:16 (NKJV)

Apostle Paul, a man who did great exploits, wrote about two-third of the new
testament an apostle per excellence. His handkerchief healed, he raised the dead like
he just picked something up, he shook off a viper like mosquito. He had his own fair
share of challenges though. Did I say fair? He suffered shipwreck, imprisonments, he
was stoned to the point of death. Yet he did not faint. He never gave up. What was his
secret? Apostle Paul was a man given to prayers. He prayed for the Ephesian church
that God will strengthen them (Ephesians 3:16).

To the Thessalonian church, he wrote: “Pray without ceasing.” While rounding up his
epistle to the Ephesian church, Paul gave a very important charge: Ephesian 6:10,
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Then he listed
the armor we needed to be strong. The breast plate of righteousness, belt of truth,
preparation of the gospel as your safety boot, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and
the sword of the spirit. However, apostle did not end these list without adding payer.
Prayer was the
last weapon he mentioned. Ephesians 6:18, “Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the spirit...”

When we pray, strength comes. Particularly praying in the


Holy Ghost (Jude 20). Prayerlessness is pride, and pride is a sin. Remember,
God resist the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Prayer is a
sign of meekness. It means you are telling God that you can’t do without Him
and you need help, God in turn then releases His grace and strength on you.
Give yourself to prayer, you don’t want to faint! PEACE!!

PRAYER:
Father, strengthen me with might by your Spirit in my
inner man in the name of Jesus.

yet, will i not forget you


Can a mother forget the infant at her breast,
walk away from the baby she bore? But even if
mothers forget, I'd never forget you - never.
Isaiah 49:15 MSG

God has not forgotten you, He never will, and never can!

I remember the story of Noah and the other seven with him in the ark when God sent
flood upon the earth. The flood lasted for 40 days and 40 nights. I know the people in the
ark must have felt as if God has forgotten them. And to compound that, when the flood
eventually stopped, the water didn't subside till another 150 days. That's 6 months and 10
days in the ark. They must have been fed up with staying in the ark, and imagine, they were
there with animals. Then this happened....

Genesis 8:1 TLB


God didn't forget about Noah and all the animals in the boat! He sent a wind to blow across the
waters, and the floods began to disappear.

When you are passing through the storm and flood of life, God has not forgotten you. Even
when the storm and the flood stopped and you still feel their aftermath effects, He has not
forgotten you. You are coming out with testimonies!

There's another person who must have thought God has forgotten her. Mother Sarah had
reached menopause, yet no fruit of the womb. Physically speaking, there was no hope. But
see what the scripture says...
Genesis 21:1 NKJV
And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.

The Lord will do to you as He has promised too. He will visit you at the appointed time,
according to the time of life. (Gen 18:14). God has not forgotten you. Your parents can
forget you. Your siblings can. Your spouse can. Your pastor can. Your friends can, but God
can't!

I know you have expectations, desires, prayer requests, or you need a miracle. Don't give
up on God! Your divine visitation is here already. You will not be put to shame. Rejoice!

DEAL WITH YOUR WEAKNESS


And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So
he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as
before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he
did not know that the Lord had departed from him.
JUDGES 16: 20 (NKJV)

Deal with your weakness(s), before it deals with you. We know humans are not perfect,
but that's not an excuse to accommodate your character defects and weaknesses. Work
on them now. The Holy Spirit will help you when you call for help, but you need to make a
decision to work on them and be sincere with it.

Judas' problem didn't start when he betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. John told us
that he had been stealing before, being the treasurer. In fact, he called him a thief (John
12:6). He loved money so much and obviously didn't deal with it. Consequently, he lost his
place in destiny and was replaced by Matthias (Acts 1:24-26). See, the weakness you fail to
deal with now poses a great danger to your future and it is capable of displacing you in
destiny. There are still people like that today; who can do anything to get money. The
Bible says: "Their God is their belly."(Phil 3:19). You'd better deal with it now.

If yours is sexual immortality, deal with it now! Don't be ashamed to call for help when you
need one. Don't say you would stop when you get married. Who told you that? If you fail
to deal with it, it'll deal with you. If you are not sure about that, ask Samson. We always
talk about Delilah, but Samson's problem didn't start with Delilah. There was a time he
saw a lady at Timnah, a Philistine—an unbeliever (Judges 14). He insisted he must marry
her, despite his parents refusal. That's not all. In Chapter 16, Samson went to Gaza—a
southern city in Palestine —and saw an harlot there. Samson slept with her. He didn't
deal with his weakness. Then, Delilah—again an unbeliever—came into the scene. The
Philistines must have noticed this weakness in Samson, and they trapped him with his
weakness.

The devil will notice your weakness too. He knows you like food too much. He knows you
hate being corrected. No one can correct you; you are always right. He knows that you like
alcohol.

He knows that you like alcohol. And he will create as much opportunities as possible for
you to exhibit those weaknesses. He knows that you get angry a lot and when people try
to talk to you about it, you will say: "that's my nature. ". Really? We must not be ignorant of
the devices of the devil. The Word of God is the standard for our living, anything short of
that is unacceptable. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with your weaknesses and character
defects. Be sincere with yourself. Deal with them now, lest they deal with you. Selah!

rejoice always
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say,rejoice!
PHILLIPIANS 4:4 (NKJV)

Don't allow life's challenges weigh you down. Choose to be joyful. The truth is, you are
not the only one facing challenges. There was once a war in heaven (Revelation 12:7). Lift
your head high. Wear a smile at all times. Stop looking pitiable and making people ask
what's wrong with you. Rejoice always! It's a choice. Even if life shows you pepper, you can
still make a nice soup with it. You lost your job, but you don't have to lose your joy too.
You lost a loved one. Yes, that's painful, but let it go. Move on. In everything give God
thanks. You can't be joyful if you are not thankful.

Paul and Silas sang praises in the prison. Peter had a sound sleep among four squad of
soldiers in a maximum prison. He was even bound with chains. Yet the angel of the Lord
had to strike him to wake up. In difficult times, you don't have to lose your sleep. Rejoice!
Psalm 2:1-4 reveals God's reaction when nation conspired against Him. Verse 4 says: "He
who sits in the heavens shall laugh." See how the Message Bible put it: "Heaven-throned
God breaks out laughing". Learn to laugh in the midst of life's challenges. I read in a book
co-authored by John Hager and Diana Hagee that sophisticated studies are being made
in medical science to verify that when one laughs, the brain releases powerful
endorphins that heal sickness. The Bible says: "A cheerful heart does good like medicine, but
a broken spirit makes one sick (Proverbs 17:22).

Paul, writing to to the Philippians gave this strong charge:


"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!". Paul wrote
that epistle in the prison in Rome, yet in chapter one verse four he said he
was always praying for them in joy. “In the world you will have tribulation;
but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

Declaration:
I am a carrier of God's presence, and so, I have the
fullness of joy. I am never down, nor depressed for the
joy of the Lord is my strength. I am filled with the fruit of
the spirit. I have joy. I rejoice at all times. Glory to Jesus.

stand out!
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and
broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there
are many who go in by it. Matthew 7:13

The kingdom of God is not like the house of representative; majority does not always
win, rather the Word of God always wins. Naturally, man has the tendency to feel
uncomfortable and ashamed being alone in an act or decision, and be more inclined to
do things the way others are doing them. People, after doing something wrong, will
usually comfort themselves with the fact that: "Aye n se iru e" i.e. people are doing it.

That so many people are doing a particular thing doesn't mean it is right. The Word is
our standard, not the World. Exodus 23:2a (NIV); “Do not follow the crowd in doing
wrong". I can't begin to mention those areas where believers follow the crowd these
days. You know them too. Don't change your date of birth to get a job or to be eligible
for National Youth Service. Say a big no to examination malpractice. Don't give bribes
even if everybody is doing it. It is better to stand alone with Christ than to join the crowd
in standing with the devil. Stand out!

Wherever you are and in everything you do, let your decision be influenced by God's
Word, and not by the crowd. Noah stood out in his evil generation. He didn't join the
majority to do evil, otherwise he would have perished with them. The Bible testified of
him in Genesis 6:9b; "Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with
God." Remember that only eight people entered into the ark. Majority is not always right!
Likewise, Lot—though he stepped out of God's perfect will for his life and lived in Sodom
—he didn't join the evil majority. He stood out, and consequently escaped the
destruction. Daniel and the three other Hebrews stood out. It is a long list.
Don't be scared of standing alone. Stand out! Walk with God Selah.
It is well with your spirit, soul and body. Amen.

Reflection: Are there areas in which you've joined the majority to do


wrong? Ask God for forgiveness, and repent today.

Declaration: I am a child of God, so, I stand with God. I do not follow


the multitude to do evil. I am the righteousness of God in
Christ. I am holy even as my father is holy. I flee all
apearances of evil. Hallelujah!

just obey!
His mother said to the servants,
“Whatever He says to you, do it.
JOHN 2:5 (NKJV)

Let's quickly take a look at some characters in the Bible.

1. Namaan: The leper. He heard about Elisha, who gave him an instruction: "Wash in
Jordan seven times and be clean." He refused at first, but obeyed eventually and was
healed. (2 Kings 5:1-14).

2. The widow of Zarephath: There was a great famine and she was down to her last
meal. She was ready to eat it with her son and die. Then Elijah came and instructed her
to make a meal for him first, and that she would experience a miracle of supernatural
supply. She obeyed, served Elijah first and her miracle followed. (1 Kings 17:8-16).

3. The man born blind: Jesus made clay with his saliva, anointed the man's eyes with it,
and instructed him: "Go wash in the pool of Siloam". He did, and received his sight. (John
9:1-7).

Did you notice the connection? They got their miracles when they obeyed divine
instructions. Obedience provokes God's acts and actions, and obeying divine instruction
is the key to unlocking the supernatural. Why? Obedience is an act of faith, and it takes
faith to please God (Hebrews 11:6). One way we exercise our faith is through obedience.

I can hear someone say "But I've not heard God's voice or a man of God to do anything".
Okay, what about the instructions in the Bible? Jesus said: "Give and it shall be given unto
you". Obey that and enjoy divine provision. "Bring ye all the tithes...if I'll not open you the
windows of heaven." (Mal 3:10). Obey that and see the windows of heaven open for a
blessing you won't have enough room to contain. The only other time that God opened
the windows of heaven in the bible was during the time of Noah in Gen 7:11. And oh! It
really rained.
There is another divine instruction in Proverbs 4:20-22. It says you should give attention
to God's word, and it'll be health to your flesh. Obey that and enjoy divine healing.

The Bible contains numerous divine instructions, which when you obey them will unlock
doors of prosperity, promotion, healing and many more. Trust and Obey!

god hates idleness


And about the eleventh hour he went out and
found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why
have you been standing here idle all day?
MATTHEW 20: 6 (NKJV)

In Matthew's gospel, the 20th chapter, our Lord told the parable of an householder who
went out to hire laborers. There are a number of lesson we can take from this parable,
but one in particular caught my attention. In verse four,. the householder saw some folks
standing idle, then he gave them work to do. Again, in verse six, he went out and saw
some other people standing idle. He asked them: "Why stand ye here idle?" Evidently, God
frowns at idleness. God is that householder.

Immediately God put man in the garden of Eden, He gave him work to do; to tend and
keep the garden, what we could call horticulture today. God never created man to be
idle. Even God works. John 5:17; But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until
now, and I have been working.” Idleness is an enemy of purpose and destiny. An adage
says: "An idle hand is the devil's workshop". 2 Samuel 11 best illustrates this. It was the
time kings go to battle. King David had been going to battle before, but this time, the
Bible says: "But David tarried still at Jerusalem". He sent Joab and the rest of the army. I
don't know why David didn't go with them. But whatever reason it was, the devil took full
advantage of it.

After waking up from his bed in the evening, David took a stroll upon the roof of his
house and saw Bathsheba bathing. I wonder where he would have seen a woman
bathing if he was on the battle field. You know the rest of the story. David committed
adultery with her, got her pregnant and murdered Uriah, the husband. David reaped the
consequences of his actions. A moment of idleness resulted in arguably the biggest
mistake of his reign.

Try as much as possible never to be idle. Always get yourself engaged with godly and
productive things. Be careful and intentional with what you do when you are alone, lest
you become the devil's workshop. Selah.

Declaration: I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water. I bring forth


my fruit in its season. My leaf shall not wither, and
whatsoever I do shall prosper.

Prayer: Father, according to your word in Psalm 90 verse 7,


establish the work of my hands in the name of Jesus.

get some rest


And on the seventh day God ended His work which
He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from
all His work which He had done.
GENESIS 2:2 (NKJV)

It's Saturday! How has your week been? I trust it's been wonderful and not too stressful.
Well, it's weekend now and you can take some rest. Eat well, have fun with your family,
take a cool shower, rest and sleep well. It doesn't sound spiritual right? You see, God isn't
only interested in your spiritual well-being. He is interested in your emotional and
physical well-being as well; be it academically, financially and so on. This truth could be
seen in John's third epistle.

3 John verse 2 AMP


Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as
[I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.

God wants us to be okay spirit, soul and body. Yes we are spirit beings, but it is the body
that houses the spirit. Hence, we need to take good care of our bodies, and one way by
which we do that is to rest well.
See what Jesus told His disciples:
Mark 6:31 NKJV
And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there
were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

You would have been forgiven to think that all Jesus would have been interested in was
that they continue from town to town, preaching and casting out devils, and never take a
rest. And if some of them fainted as a result of exhaustion, Jesus would just lay hand on
them. No! It's not done that way. You have the responsibility to rest. No one will do that
for you.

On another occasion, after Christ's death and resurrection, He appeared to His disciples
at the sea of Tiberias. They had been there all night and caught nothing. Then Jesus
appeared to them in the morning and they caught great number of fishes. I love what
Jesus did next. He knew they must be tired and hungry, and He made breakfast for them.

When God rested from all His works, I believe He did that so as to give us an example of
how to live. The word 'Sabbath' signifies rest or ceasation from labor. You don't have to
wait till weekends before you rest though. So, as much as possible, get enough rest. Don't
over-work yourself.
Stay fit and healthy. However, rest is not synonymous to laziness. Work, but
rest as well.

Prayer:
Father, give me all round rest in the name of Jesus. (2
Chronicles 20:30)

GOD IS NOT AN AUTHOR OF CONFUSION


For God is not the author of confusion but of
peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 (NKJV)

There are things Christians get wrong these days. One of them is what we want to
consider today. When a believer has a dream which they don't understand, and the next
think they do is start looking for someone to interpret their dreams. Well, that's not in the
Bible. The accounts we have in the Bible where people dreamt and sought for
interpretation elsewhere, were unbelievers. They were not children of God or servants of
God as the case may be. So, you are not Pharaoh, neither are you Nebuchadnezzar. You
are a child of God.

Jacob dreamt in Gen 28:10-22, he got the message. Joseph, his son—the dreamer—
dreamt, he understood them. Joseph, the husband of Mary, had 3 dreams (Matthew 1:20,
2:13, 2:19), and the messages were plain. God is not an author of confusion. Peter fell
into a trance in Acts 10, and while he was still wondering what the vision meant, three
men came looking for him. The Holy Spirit instructed him to follow them. It was not long
before he understood the meaning of the vision. Paul also had a vision in Acts 16:9. The
message was clear.

If you are a child of God, when God speaks to you, you will understand. And if at first you
don't, ask Him to make you understand. Ask God, not your neighbor. Why should your
dad talk to you in Spanish when he knows you only understand English and Yoruba? God
is an intelligent Being, and so you are.

I can hear someone say: "But Jesus spoke in parables now". That wasn't because of His
disciples.

Mark 4:10-12 NKJV


But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. And
He said to them, to you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to
those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that ‘Seeing they may see and not
perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand....

Unto us it is given to know. Unbelievers can't understand it. Pharaoh can't.


Nebuchadnezzar can't. But Daniel can. Joseph can. You can.
You have the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. (Isaiah 11:2).

However, not all dreams come from God. Some are as a result of our thoughts and daily
activities, while the devil could just be playing pranks on you sometimes. Not all dreams
should be taken seriously, you probably dream every night.

Declaration:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. The Spirit of wisdom an
understanding. The Spirit of counsel and might. The Spirit
of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. I do not walk in
darkness. I have the light of life. I am not confused about
a thing.

And the Lord said, Behold, they are one people and they have all one language; and this is only
the beginning of what they will do, and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be
impossible for them.

God has given man the ability to see with the eyes of the heart, to see things that are not
there yet. Whatever you can conceive in your heart, you can birth in reality. The glorious
future you so much crave, if you can see it with the eyes of your heart, have firm
determination and unwavering focus, and take necessary actions, then it's just a matter of
time before it becomes a reality. No one can stop you. Not even the devil.

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." (Prov 23:7). The implication of this is that it could be
either ways; positive or negative. This is why we must be intentional about our thoughts.
Evil thoughts and imaginations give birth to corresponding evil outcomes. More often
than not, when we sin, we had already conceived and nurtured it in our hearts. David
understood this truth when he prayed: "Create in me a clean heart, O God" (Psalm 51:10).
He said that after he had slept with Bathsheba, and God had sent Nathan to him. David
knew it all started from his heart. If we could have a pure heart, we can live a pure life.

Without holiness, the Bible says no man shall see the Lord.(Heb 12:14). Jesus Christ said:
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God"(Matt 5:8). (See also, Psalms 24:3-4).
When evil thoughts come, don't accommodate or groom them. Think about positive
things.

Philippians 4:8 NIV


Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think
about such things..

Declaration: I constantly renew my mind by the word of God. I think


God's word. I think victory. I think greatness. I think
success. I have a pure heart. I am blessed!

you need help?


John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing
unless it has been given to him from heaven.
JOHN 3:27 (NKJV)

No man can be greater than the level of help he receives. Everybody needs help in one
area or the other. As a matter of fact, without help, destiny would be frustrated.

After King Amaziah died, Uzziah, his son reigned in his stead in Judah. But he was only
sixteen years old. He obviously needs help. Then 2nd Chronicles 26:15 says: "...So his fame
spread far and wide, for he was marvelously helped till he became strong.

However, more often than not, we look up to the wrong place for help. Help comes from
God!
Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my Help? My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.

So, stop getting angry with that your rich uncle or friend who refuse to help you. Speak to
your Father! Of course, God would usually use men for you, but you are not to put your
focus on men, neither are you supposed to choose a channel God should use. Jeremiah
17:5, Thus says the Lord: “cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.

You need help? Trust in the Lord! That's our Helper who never fails. Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Father, I put my whole trust in you, send me help and
helpers in the name of Jesus.

pottage or purpose?
And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is
this birthright to me? GENESIS 25:32 (NKJV)

You must have read the story of how Esau sold his birth right just for pottage (lentil
stew) and wondered what kind of man he was. Undisciplined? Foolish? Gullible? Which
other grammar? I felt like that too, but frankly, Esau is not the only person on this
queue.

A lot of people today, including believers, sell their future just for the present
enjoyment. They trade their glorious destiny for their carnal desires. We need to ask
ourselves often: what do I really want? Pottage or purpose? Bread or birthright? It's
not just about food here. When you get involve in a fraudulent act, you've already
chosen between stew and destiny. When you keep committing fornication or adultery,
immorality of any kind, know that you are trading your birthright for bread which won't
last.

Beware of the decisions you make make, they can only make or mar you. You are a
child of destiny. You can't just mess around anyhow. God's plan is to give you a
glorious future, but your decisions can nullify God's intentions. Before you do it, ask
yourself if it is worth it. Nothing is worth trading your glorious destiny for. Not drugs,
not alcohol, not pornography, designer wears or money. Nothing! Don't get infinity
(car) at the expense of eternity. Why trade your crown for car? He wants to sleep with
you before giving you a job. Let him perish with his job! Your lecturer said he would fail
you unless you sleep with him. Choose then, school certificate or heaven's certificate?
Don't be like Esau.

Esau said he was at the point of death just because of hunger. Lie! An eighty year old
Moses fasted for forty days and night twice. He did not die. I wonder how many days
Esau has not eaten. See, you cannot die if you stop taking alcohol, drugs or sex
outside marriage. It's a lie of the devil. You may however die quickly if you don't stop it.

Esau lost his place in destiny due to lack of self-control. Today, we would have been
saying: God of Abraham, Isaac and Esau. The mighty nation of Israel would have been
named after Esau. But he lost all that for stew. You will not miss your place in destiny.

Whatever you've lost through lack of self-control, sin or ignorance, God's mercy will
restore them to you in the name of Jesus. May you never trade your birthright for
bread anymore. It is well with you.

Prayer:
Father, whatever I have lost through lack of self-control,
sin or ignorance, let your mercy restore them unto me in
the name of Jesus. I do not miss my destiny and I fulfill
divine purpose in the name of Jesus.

don't worry
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’
or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?
MATTHEW 6: 31 (NKJV))

Worry is not being responsible. Some people think that if you don't worry, it means you
are irresponsible and uncaring. No, this is not true. Whether you like it or not, there will
be things you don't have control over, or things you can't handle yourself. You can't be in
tomorrow today. So why worry about tomorrow? Worry is a sign that you don't trust God.
You don't trust that He can supply your needs, so you want to try and figure it out
yourself. Why worry? Worry does two things: it doesn't solve the issue, and yet always add
to the issue. Anxiety, if not checked can lead to health issues. Paul, writing to the
philippians church gave this charge: "Be anxious for
nothing" (Phil 4:6).

Our Lord Jesus Christ does not want us to worry about a thing, particularly about
tomorrow. I believe that was why in the model of prayer He gave, He taught: "Give us this
day, our daily bread." This day, not tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Learn to
trust God for everything. Be Bible says "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). It's
either you let God handle that issue, or you try to handle it yourself. The One who keeps
you neither sleeps nor slumbers, so why should you lose sleep too because of worry?

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.God cares for you, and He is aware of
those needs. All you need to do is to cast all your burdens on Him, and see if your troubles can
trouble God. God is far bigger than your troubles.

Luke 22:35 (NKJV)


And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack
anything?” So they said, “Nothing.” That will be your testimony! You will not lack anything good
in the name of Jesus. Don't worry, just trust God.

Prayer:
Father, I cast all my burdens on you (mention them), let
them turn into testimonies for me in the name of Jesus.

a more excellent way


But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show
you a more excellent way. 1 CORINTHIANS 12:31 (NKJV)
Gifts and talents are good. It is important that believers speak in tongues. And If you can
interpret tongues, very well. Do you have the revelational gifts. You dream dreams, see
visions, your word of knowledge is accurate? Glory to Jesus, Oh! You have the power
gifts? You heal the sick, miracles happen through your hand, the spirit of faith is so
mighty upon you. God bless your soul! We need these gifts in the body of Christ. The
talents are needed. You probably could play any musical instrument. Oh1 What a sweet
voice you’ve got....do you have the most important thing: Love.

There’s a more excellent way; yeah! Just one way. Love is the only way. After apostle Paul
listed the gifts in 1 Corinthians 13, he encouraged believers to desire the best gifts, but
he was quick to add that there is a more excellent way which is love.
1 Corinthians 13: 1-2 (NKJV)
“Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I have becoming
sounding brass or a clanging cymbal and though I have the gift of prophecy and understand
all mysteries and all knowledge and though I have all faith, so that I could removed
mountains, but have not love. I am nothing”

No matter what you do, without love, you are nothing. Love is not just a more excellent
way, it is the only way. No service or offering is acceptable without love, no matter the
size. Love is the only way! So ask yourself, do you have love? Love does not envy. Love is
not boastful. Love is not proud. How do you feel about other people’s success? How do
you react about your own accomplishments?

Love is not disrespectful, it is not self-centered. How do you treat others? Do you look
down on them because they seem to be nobody? Are you given to eye service? Love is
not easily angered and it does not keep record of wrongs. Love is kind. It is patient, love
is the God’s way. When you are loved, love. When you are hated, love still. Love your
neighbors. Celebrate other people’s progress not their misfortune. Love genuinely. God
is love, so you are a love child. Go and walk in love with everyone from now on. Love is

your life is not yours


We are not our own bosses to live or die as we
ourselves might choose. ROMANS 14:7 (TLB))

Recently, I had to drive someone's car to drop his family at home, as he had to attend to
something important elsewhere. Despite the fact that I've been driving for some years
now, I was very careful with the car, even subconsciously. Why? Because it wasn't my car.
I don't mean I would drive recklessly if it was my car, but I was more careful with it. If you
borrow someone's laptop, you will be more careful with it than yours, won't you? This is
where I'm going: You are not your own. Your life is not yours! Your body is not yours. So
you can't live as you like. Come see the
scripture.

1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV


Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom
you have from God, and you are not your own?
Romans 14:7-8 TLB
We are not our own bosses to live or die as we ourselves might choose. Living or dying we
follow the Lord. Either way we are his.

Your body is not your property. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You've heard people
say "it's my life and I can live it the way I want". That's far from the truth. The breath of life
that made you a living soul was from God (Gen 2:7). The bible tells us that God created
us for His own pleasure/will (Rev 4:11), and not for your own pleasure or will. Just like I
had to drop the car key to the owner, or like you would have to return the laptop you
borrowed, you will give account of how you live here.

How then are we supposed to live?


1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are
God’s.
Romans 12:1 NKJV
....that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,acceptable to God, which is your
reasonable service.

Let your life glorify God. Be conscious of the truth that you are not your own. You belong
to Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Have you abused your body in any way or lived your life

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah,
do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said
to him the third time, “Do you love Me?

After Jesus' death and resurrection, Peter—being the eldest among the disciples told
some of them that he was going out to fish, and they followed him. You know the story?
They caught nothing that night, Jesus appeared on the shore in the morning, they
couldn't recognize Him at first, He asked them to launch their net to the right side of the
boat, and they caught great fishes. After that, Jesus made nice breakfast for them. Or
what do you expect when the Lord prepares food for you? Then....

John 21:15 NIV


When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me
more than these?”

Do you love me more than your secular fishing business? Do you love me more than
eating and drinking? Do you love me more than these? Peter responded: "Yes, Lord!" But
you see, anybody can confess "I love you" but only few back up their confession with
corresponding actions.

1 John 3:18 NIV


Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

I believe that was why Jesus was quick to tell Peter: "Feed my lambs" In other word, "If
you love me, feed my sheep." Love is an action word! For God so loved the world that He
gave.... He loved, and so He gave.

Jesus said: "Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you" (John 15:14). If ye do!
Do you love Jesus? know you've sang 'I love you forever Oh Lord' a number of times, but
do more than that; love Him in deeds. How could couples stay together and they won't
talk to each other? Have you spoken with Him today? Jesus want your time and
attention. Start and end your day with Him. He had poured out His heart in some letters
to you. You can call them 'Love letters'. The letter is your Bible. In it are instructions,
warnings, guidance, promises and assurances, wisdom, life, all you need. Read them.

Yes, we are the bride, Jesus is the bridegroom. Love Him in deeds. Keep His
commandments. Another way to show that you love God is to go after lost souls. God
loves souls, and you should love what He loves.

The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is
one.
30: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind
and with all your strength.’

Lovest thou Jesus?

Reflection:
Do you love the Lord? Is your love for Him backed up with
corresponding actions?

Prayer:
Father, let me love what you love, and do all that you
want all the days of my life in the name of Jesus.

believest thou this?


Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are
possible to him who believes. MARK 9:23 (NKJV))

Martha had just lost her brother Lazarus in John chapter 10. It was actually four days
already. They had sent for Jesus before Lazarus died of sickness but the Master tarred,
only to show up four days after Lazarus' death. Too late, ugh??
Martha actually thought it was too late, and when Jesus said to her: "Your brother will rise
again", Martha thought Jesus was referring to the resurrection at the last day.

John 11:25-26 KJV


Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou
this?

Well, your own case might not be the death of a loved one. It could just be any case you
think it's over, irrevocable, a dead end. But I tell you, there are no such cases with God
and to whoever believes. The scripture says: "With God, all things are possible." (Matthew
19:26), (Mark 10:27). Believest thou this? The Bible says: "Every place that the sole of your
foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you" (Joshua 1:3) Believest thou this? The
scripture also says: "You will forget your misery, and remember it as waters that have passed
away." (Job 11:16) Believest thou this? Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the
morning. Do you believe this?

Concerning your health, the Word of God says: He Himself took our infirmities and bore our
sicknesses (Matthew 8:17). Believest thou this? It is written: The young lions lack and suffer
hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10). Do you
believe that? None shall be barren. (Exodus 23:26). Believest thou this?

Tonight, I've come with this message of hope: No matter what you're going through or
what's going through you, if you will settle for the Word, the Word will settle it. I round up
with this Word from the Master.

Declaration: I believe the Word of God, who It says I am. All


things are possible unto me. As Jesus is, so am I
on earth. Hallelujah!

you are god's temple


Do you not know that you are the temple of God
and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 (NKJV))

When the COVID-19 pandemic just broke out, and there was serious concern and fear
everywhere. I was chatting with a friend, and out of care, she said I should be careful and
stay safe. I wanted to be sure want she meant by that because the "stay safe" slogan
wasn't so common then. So she replied that it was because of corona virus. I smiled, and
I replied with a question: "where will it stay in my body?" My body is the temple of God.
The Holy Spirit dwells in me. So, is it that the Holy Spirit will vacate for the virus, or He
shift for the virus and they will cohabit? God forbid!

Beloved, you are God's building (verse 9). The Holy Spirit has made you His home. No
sickness or disease is permitted in your body that's God's temple. Know ye not?
1 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which
temple you are.

Apostle Paul added that if any man defiles God's temple (through false doctrine) God will
destroy such a person because God's temple is holy, and you are that temple! In this
way, if a spirit of infirmity dare attempt to defile your body (God's temple) such spirit will
get destroyed at once. Your body is too holy for sickness or disease to live in. It's not a
conducive environment for them. Light and darkness do not cohabit. When light comes,
darkness disappear.

Peradventure through ignorance or sin, any sickness or disease has found its way into
your body, they are coming out now in the name of Jesus! I rebuke that spirit of infirmity
in the name of Jesus! You are healed and delivered now.Glory to God!

Declaration: The Holy Spirit dwells in my body. My health springs


forth speedily. I am healed, I can never be sick. Jesus
Christ took my infirmities and bore my sickness on
his body. By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Praise
God!

DON'T WASH YOUR NETS YET


But Simon answered and said to Him,“Master, we have
toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at
your wordI will let down the net.
LUKE 5:5 (NKJV))

The story of Isaac in Genesis chapter 26 communicates the need to be persistent in life.
His father, Abraham had dug some wells which the Philistines blocked after his death
(see verse 15) but Isaac dug the wells again. Then in verse 19, Isaac dug another well, but
the herdsmen in Gerar won't let him have it. He didn't give up. He dug yet another well in
verse 21 and the bible says "they strove for that also". They did not let him have that as
well. You know how stressful it must have been digging wells? I mean wells that are
several feet deep into the ground. He could have given up and told his servants that they
won't be digging anymore. But Oh dear Isaac! He persisted. He didn't give up. See verse
22a.

22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he
called its name Rehoboth.

What is your own well that you've been digging that has not been successful so far? Don't
give up. Probably you've written and failed a particular exams several times, or you even
passed but admission has not just been coming. Or you've been searching for a job for a
while now. Maybe you've invested in some businesses and they did not yield as
expected. Or you have relationship issues. Whatever you own case is. Are you
discouraged and fed up right now? I have a word for you: Don't give up! Go again!

I love this quote by John Mason: "Stick to the fight when you are hardest hit, it is when
things seem tough that you must not quit."

Probably you've given up already like Simon Peter when he was fishing at the lake of
Gennesaret in Luke's gospel chapter 5. They had worked hard all night without catching
any fish. That must have been very frustrating. Verse 2 says they were already washing
their nets. You know what that means? They had given up, ready to go home empty
handed.

4: When He (Jesus) had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let
down your nets for a catch.”

5: But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing;
nevertheless at your word I will let down the net.”
6: And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was
breaking.
7: So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came
and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

You are almost at your Rehoboth too, just don't quit now. Stay in the fight. Don't throw in
the towel. Lift your head high. Go again! Don't wash your nets yet. Launch out into the
deep and get ready for a 'net breaking' testimony.

Reflection:
Think! Are there areas you have given up on God's
promises, your dreams and vision? Hold on to God's
promises, launch out again for those dreams and vision.
Never give up!

Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to stick
to your word to the end no matter what.

and the word became flesh


And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and
we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father, full of grace and truth.
JOHN 1:14 (NKJV))

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John
1:1). Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Word of God. 1 John chapter 1 verse one further
emphasized this truth: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which
we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled,
concerning the Word of life. Just as the Word of God became flesh, every word of God in
your mouth has the capacity of manifesting physically. You can become whatever you say.
The Word of God always can become physical, something you can behold and handle.

You need a car. You can speak the car into existence. You can say: The young lions lack
and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing (Psalm
34:10). Car (the exact model you want) I call you forth in the name of Jesus.

You need a house of your own. The provision is available in the Word of God. Just go
ahead and start speaking your house into physical manifestation. You can say: the Word of
God says that I shall build houses and inhabit them; I shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit
(Isaiah 65:21). I call you forth my house! I'm a landlord. I'm a house owner in the name of
Jesus. Glory!

What are your desires? Is it a life partner? Your words have the capacity to create
your world, and the Word of God is handleable.

Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)


So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void. But it shall
accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

So you need a husband or wife. Say: The Word of God says that it is not good for
(wo)man to be alone, and the Word also says that God will not withhold any good
thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). I receive my husband/wife. I call you
forth in the name of Jesus!

Friend, the Word of God in your mouth is the raw material for whatever you need or want
to become in life. Keep speaking the Word, and you will keep seeing results. Praise God
forevermore!

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
MATTHEW 6:33 (NKJV))

Most of the challenges we face are as a result of making what is supposed to be


secondary become primary, majoring in the minor, putting the cart before the horse.
The greatest secret of success I've ever found is in Matthew 6:33. Imagine, God
already told us what to do in order to get what we want. Most of the things we are
chasing are supposed to be chasing us. Our Lord Jesus told Peter to follow Him, and
He will make Him fishers of men. Peter will not need to try and become anything. He
need not bother. All he needed was to follow Jesus, and it's the Master's responsibility
to make Peter.

Seek God first! All other things shall be added unto you like bonuses. Stop making
God your second choice and expect Him to make you His first choice. Those who put
God first always come first in life. Serve God with all your strength. Make God your
priority, and He will make you His priority. He doesn't use and dump men! Whatever
we do for God and with God is for our own good. Seek God first. He is a rewarder of
those who diligently seek Him. Nothing pays like serving God!

In the assembly you belong to, don't stay idle. You must be serving to be on the
payroll. Serve! In your personal life, let the advancement of God's kingdom be your
priority. Pray for the advancement of the kingdom of God, reach out to lost souls,
serve with your resources! Service qualifies you for God's blessings!

Exodus 23:25-26 (NKJV)


So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.
And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26 No one shall suffer miscarriage
or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

Seek God first. No investment pay a higher dividend. Receive grace!

Father, birth an hunger and thirst for kingdom service
and righteousness in me in the name of Jesus. (Matthew
5:6)

Our God is not just mighty, He is the Almighty; all powerful, unlimited in might,
Omnipotent! He is not more powerful doing certain things than the other; God
specializes in doing all things, and He's doing them well. Scripture says He has done all
things well (Mark 7:37). He is the All-sufficient One; our God is more than enough!

Exodus 3:13 NKJV Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel
and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His
name?’ what shall I say to them?
”Moses wanted to know God's name so he could know what to say to the Israelites. Little
did he know that God was/is everything. God's name depicts His nature and attributes.
God could have said: I am the Healer, or the Deliverer. Yes, He is the Healer and
Deliverer, but even much more. God is everything!
Exodus 3:14 NKJV And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say
to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.

’”When you need protection, I AM the God who protects you. You need deliverance? I AM
the Deliverer. Challenged in your health? You need not worry, I AM your Doctor. I AM
your Shepherd. I AM your Helper. I AM your Strengthener and your strength. I AM Jireh;
your Provider. I AM WHO I AM! See the Amplified translation of that scripture.And God
said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You
shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

Friend, God is everything you need or will ever need! If you've been enjoying God in some
specific aspects of your life, your finances for instance, don't limit Him to that. He is also
the One who heals, raises the dead, gives the fruit of the womb, gives marital
breakthrough, gives rest, peace, joy. He guides and directs. Enjoy God in all areas of your
life. The Multi-breasted God. He is more than enough for you. Can I hear you call Him "El
Shaddai"?

Happy new month in advance. The "I AM" will cause your joy to be full this month and
beyond. We love you, and we are praying for you.
