Measurement checklist

Measure all dimensions in MM only

A General Points
1 mark location of north point Measure the clear floor height atleast at
three different locations
2 Take all measurements including offsets Give clear heights at sunken slabs, beam
dimensions, angular & curved surfaces soffits etc. or where ever the floor height is
getting changed.
3 Take perpendicular dimensions of angular Measure clear floor heights for areas in
surfaces different wings or floors

B Double Heights / Skylights Double Heights / Skylights

1 Check and mark any Double Height area measure clear height in double height area

2 Are there any skylights, mark details

C RCC Superstructure RCC Superstructure

1 check for evidence of any structural failure measure heights at all points where ever
(cracks in columns, beams, slabs & brickwork) the height is changing

2 check for evidence of any leakage, seepage from measure thickness of loft slab
external walls / roof slabs.
3 Is Structural Drawing available measure clear height between loft slab top
and ceiling slab bottom
4 if yes, check the structural drg w r t actual site

5 record descrepancies in case the site is not

matching with structural drg
6 mark locations & sizes of RCC columns
7 mark clear dimensions between RCC columns

8 mark location and width of RCC beams in dotted measure clear height from floor to slab (or
lines false ceiling if existing)
9 Identify beams near AHU rooms at each floor measure clear height upto beam bottom
level (from existing slab finish level) give
minimum 2 sections
10 Identify and mark deep beams / structural mark depths of all RCC beams
elements which will affect AC design at each floor
level
11 Check for beams jutting into shafts reducing the measure floor drop from finished lobby
clear dimension of the shaft at each floor level level (to ascertain thickness of screeding
reqd / or to ascertain the feasebility for
trunking raceways)
12 Check for lintels on external walls which will
affect glazing or AC system
13 Check and mark details of sunken slabs at each mark depth of drop slab / sunken slabs
floor level

5 Check the internal dimensions of the lift /
elevator shaft for confirmation
H Wall Surfaces
1 measure niche depths (if any)
2 measure wall thickness
3 In case wall thickness are not measurable then
give overall dimension & clear dimensions

I Curved Surfaces
1 measure offsets of curved surfaces (Refer Sketch)

2 measure running lengths of curved surfaces

3 Diagonal checks, especially for angular and
curved surfaces.
