Fuel Economy
Fuel Economy is to minimize the consumption of fuel while keeping the output static Or to minimize the energy loses which refers to maximizing fuel efficiency.

Main Factors to Improve Fuel Economy:
To minimize energy losses o Friction o Residual Heat To maximize fuel efficiency o It directs to maximize the desired output obtained by the consumption of fuel. To discover other methods of Energy o Hydro Power o Solar Energy

What Is Fuel?
Fuel is any material that stores energy that can later be extracted to perform mechanical work in a controlled manner. In other words, it is a substance that contains energy that can be released and then manipulated, mostly heat. Different types of fuel are Chemical Fuel Chemical fuels are substances that release energy by reacting with substances around them Bio Fuel Biofuel can be broadly defined as solid, liquid, or gas fuel consisting of, or derived from biomass. Fossil fuel Fossil fuels are hydrocarbons, primarily coal and petroleum (liquid petroleum or natural gas), formed from the fossilized remains of ancient plants and animals Nuclear fuel Nuclear fuel is any material that is consumed to derive nuclear energy. y Fission This type of fuel is heavy fissile elements that can be made to undergo nuclear fission chain reactions in a nuclear fission reactor; y Fusion Fuels that produce energy by the process of nuclear fusion are currently not utilized by man but are the main source of fuel for stars, the most powerful energy sources in nature.

Uses of Fuel:
To run piston engines for o o Electricity Mechanical Energy

To heat substance To produce steam

Fuel Used in Textile Industry:
Fuel used in textile industry is:

o Petroleum o Gas o Coal

Petroleum is used in textile industry:
To obtain mechanical energy To run vehicles For the generation of electricity

Gas & Coal used in Textile Industry:
To produce Electricity To run engines To make steam for different processes

Recommendations to economize Petroleum, Gas & Coal in Textile Industry:
Complete fuel combustion is necessary for fuel economy. Excess amount of oxygen should be provided. Unwanted gases should be removed. More Fuel Efficient vehicles should be used. Other ways of electricity generation like Hydro and Solar energy. Fuel Efficient Generators Conveyers and Lifts should be used instead of Lifter Vehicles for transportation of Material. Other methods for Electricity generation should be used. (Hydro, Solar etc.) Minimizing external losses by insolating ducts Other sources of Mechanical Energy should be used like pneumatic power, etc. Efficient Boilers having more fuel efficiency Re-utilization of steam for other process instead of separate furnaces. Electricity consumption should be minimizing.
