Imagine a world without breast cancer.
The End of Breast Cancer Begins with Research
CT BHI has one goal, one desire, to help find a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. Connecticut is ranked 20th in the nation for breast cancer mortality. For a small state, that’s a huge challenge.

Connecticut First

Packages range from $1,000 to $50,000, which allows your full participation in all aspects of the RACE. In addition to extensive pre-event exposure, you will reach an audience of more than 10,000 people on RACE day via an on-site presence with signage, product sampling and more.

Where the Money Goes

Join the Race Join the Cause

Saturday, May 7th, 2011 Walnut Hill Park New Britain, CT

Our most important fundraising event, the CT RACE IN THE PARK, takes places every May on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Last year alone we raised over $500,000 for breast cancer research. Every year, thousands join our RACE Day event in New Britain’s Walnut Park. It’s a family tradition, a celebration of life. It’s the RACE of the year, the race of a lifetime.

We have focused all our considerable energy and resources on education and research, funding forwardthinking programs that have yet to qualify for federal grants. We’re doing it where it matters most – right here at home.

Your support will make a profound difference in the fight against Breast Cancer in Connecticut
In-Kind Sponsorships Volunteers
Our goal is to underwrite RACE expenses through a combination of cash and in-kind contributions, insuring that more money can go directly into breast cancer research and education in CT. From media space to food, many opportunities exist that would be a perfect match for your organization. The CT RACE IN THE PARK accepts in-kind goods and services on a case-by-case basis. For purposes of sponsorship levels, in-kind donations are considered at 50% of their retail value. Items considered vital for the RACE, such as water, are categorized at 100% of their retail value. For purposes of tax deductions, in-kind donations are valued at the cost of the items as determined by the donor. All in-kind donations must be accompanied by a minimum $1,000 cash donation. As a non-profit organization, the CT BHI depends on the efforts and dedication of volunteers to make RACE IN THE PARK a success. Several volunteer opportunities exist, each and every one helping to make an impact.
