RESEARCH DESIGN

Related to the research problem, a descriptive sirvey design was considered appropriate for the
study because it allowed the use of questionnaires for the study to seek information from a
broad section of students in RMMC. Quantitative approach was employed in the study because
it deals with the impact of mobile data and wifi to the academic performance of students in
RMMC.

RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY

The study has 100 participants. 50 males and 5O females. All of these participants are from
Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges and were selected through random sampling.

STATISTICAL TOOL AND TREATMENT

The researchers will deduce if there is a difference between the academic performance of
students who use mobile data and students who use wifi by means of getting the average score
of each group. After getting the mean, the researchers will test if there is a significant difference
between the academic performance when using mobile data and when using wifi.
The statistical test that will be used in the study is T test for independent groups. T test will be
utilized since the researchers will only compare the means of two independent groups.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The undertaking was conducted and expected to be beneficial as source of information

in relevance to the study to the following individuals:

Community. The main objective of this study is to make a way in gathering information
and see comparable results on the impact of mobile data and wifi to academic performance.
Students. The study aims to provide data and information on the following factors in
response to a timely issue tackling about the accessibility to online class.
Teachers and administrators. As a member of a learner-centered institution, the study
aims to serve as an opportunity to have an in-depth examination in determining factors that
can affect students academic performance and a deepeer understanding towards evaluation of
students academic performance.
Other group of people. Ordinary people were vital in this study as they constitute the
society. With this study, awakening their thoughts and sharing it will serve as a contribution to
identify and enrich their awareness towards the objective of the study.
Future researchers. The study will serve as a basis to coming researches whose
objective shows relevance and similarity to neither mobile data nor a wifi can affect academic
performance.
The researchers. The aim of this conduct is to cultivate deeper understanding about the
problem. A critical analysis will be hastened to come up with results that will make the whole
research be beneficial to everyone.
