Nothing on Earth keeps us healthier than good, old-fashioned mental, physical and spiritual food, which our Father offers to us everyday in the form of Positive Thinking, Natural Foods and the Holy Scriptures. While learning to live healthier and develop better habits, it is always important to remember not beat up on yourself, or think negatively about your environment or yourself. We all set high goals with the understanding that they will not be accomplished today, so the high goals you may set today for a better diet or lifestyle should come with this same understanding. Think positive about all the new opportunities to better your world, rather than thinking negatively about mistakes made. Simply consider this a collection of seeds, which, if watered with attention, can blossom into a healthier you. This naturally takes time, and every farmer reaps what they sow. Every idea I present will begin with the “Ideal Situation.” This is not something we begin doing tomorrow, but a goal to build towards. Habits are hard to break and it takes time to learn to love new flavors, foods and ways of cooking. This will be followed by “What I do”, which is just helpful hints that I have learned through experience, or not, depending on the subject. : ) Since I’m writing this for Laura, it includes extra material for vegetarians, but there is a lot in here that can benefit both meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
Ideal Situation: Cooking
Old iron skillets, glassware or ceramics are ideal. Non-stick pans are coated with perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), which is a synthetic chemical that creates a soap-like slipperiness and non-stick finish. This chemical leaches into anything cooked in a nonstick skillet and the coating will begin to break down and release these toxins at a temperature of only 446 ͦ F.
Plastics contain PFOA’s. but I mostly use glassware. Microwaves use Alternating Currents. Ideal Situation: No Microwaves Many countries have banned these devices for a good reason. non-stick present last Christmas was those pancake skillets. which induces the reversal of polarity within each cell. Phthalates and BPA. I put it to the side when I’m not using it to keep it from leaching too much aluminum or steel toxins into my food. This is usually the hardest habit to kick. But nobody lives to be 100 and says “The secret is fast food!” The secret is always good food and exercise. while fine dining and nice restaurants tend to use OLIVE GREEN or TAN BROWNS. the Garden of Eden has only natural foods. but is a common additive to all fast-food meats for it’s flavoring and preservative qualities. I recommend you buy a McDonalds meal and keep it for a week. the meat is usually very salty and rich in flavor. which means our ideal situation is spent enjoying these natural treats. Fast food is an unfortunate phenomenon in our time. to see how there will be no mildew or breakdown of the so-called “edible” meal. the addiction to MSG flavoring. in the name of love. Nature is abundant with vitamins and nutrients to maintain a healthy lifestyle. MSG is not just used in chinese food. What I do: Learning the psychological tricks of advertising can help beat this addiction. The motto I tend to cling to when it is time to eat is “Inconvenience Me”. and the ever-expanding medical industry is an unfortunate testimony to this trend.Ideal Situation: Natural Foods If I remember correctly. created for us. Fast foods always use REDS in their designs to encourage people to eat and run. Sure it takes longer to get of your car and walk into a grocery store or market for something fresh and healthy. It is loaded with preservatives to increase profits by increasing shelf/freezer life. a month or a year. which is the MSG in the meat. and yes the fast food drive-thru is always fast and convenient. : ) . When you bite down into a fast-food burrito or burger. because there is usually a slight inconvenience involved in eating healthy. it’s clean and white in here. and is the original diet of humanity. with WHITE backgrounds to encourage people to RELAX and hang out awhile. Being mindful of God includes being mindful of His natural foods.
Protein is found in many sources besides meat. Fish and tuna are good alternatives to steaks or chops. Food cooked by angry people or people who do not love cooking is also negative food and this is why blessing your food is always a good idea. replenishing meals without harming a single living being. I sometimes get a strong craving for peanut butter. Today. animals are treated as products. The treatment of animals these days is more than enough for me to not want to eat meat. and they are always dancing and smiling. Beans mixed with rice form a protein. brown or white. they tend to show very healthy people eating very unhealthy foods. Not to mention. no matter where you eat. Personally. Ideal Situation: Meat or No Meat? I never look for any reason to dislike my neighbor. I think that little or no meat is ideal. plan on eating that and try to stick to it. In olden times. If you already know what you need to be happy and replenished. humanity has advanced to the point that we can seek out healthy. So. which is not the case at the doctors office.In commercials. and my favorite is red kidney beans and rice. Some interesting facts to ponder concerning this matter: Meat-eaters: have claws Herbivores: no claws Humans: no claws . those animals are full of negative energies as a result of this treatment. and from the cellular level on up. so I always consider this a personal choice. : ) Planning what your going to eat tomorrow is another way of avoiding “extras” that jump in the way. people at least raised their animals and slaughtered them at home. which is my “meter” that lets me know I am low on protein. learn to laugh at these tricks and the your brain will stop responding to these ads.

Cold water is not good unless you want bloating or water sloshing around in your stomach. everyone recommends we do not eat anything after dinner. More importantly. A nice trick I like to use before going on a long bike ride is to eat a good sized piece of watermelon. where they mix bananas with acidic fruits. drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day is good for keeping the body flushed and clean. This stops the body from producing growth hormones. you can stay hydrated without drinking so much water. which allows me to go and go without needing to stop for water. I find it hard to crave fruit for breakfast. or focus on your breathing.I like oatmeal with almonds/raisins or malt-o-meal for breakfast. 1Corinthians 6:19-20 John 2:21 . but the ideal situation here is to work with the natural cycles of your body. but an orange gets me going when I eat one. happiness and clarity of mind. Most of the time I end up eating just toast or nothing more than a glass of water. so I will end this here. If you learn about Peak Performance 8. Mental exercises are important as well. I hope the positives in here outweigh the negatives and that this helps you seek out the healthier alternatives to be found around every corner. meditation and smiles all lead to good health.Parade magazine ran an article last Sunday that discussed recent studies showing that meditation increased the ability to focus and also reduced stress and risk of disease. it is a system that you can apply to any type of exercise.
