Dear Seguin High School community

You may be aware that there has been a gradual but steady rise of positive COVID-19 cases on
the Seguin High School campus. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, ​we have successfully
completed contact tracing to quarantine the groups affected.​ ​However, out of an abundance of
caution, we have made the decision to​:

1) Convert Seguin High School to remote synchronous and asynchronous instruction

via Google Classroom from Tuesday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 18.

Below please read this Q&A to help plan your day.

Will there be classes Tuesday through Friday?

Yes, but only in a remote, off-campus learning setting.​ Teachers and staff will be on campus to
assist students with their online instruction. Please review the ​Instructions for Remote Learning
that includes the Regular Bell Schedule

How long will Seguin High School be in this remote learning mode?
Tuesday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 18.

Will there be extracurricular activities?

Extracurricular activities and after school practices will continue as scheduled. Please monitor
Seguin High School social media outlets for further updates.

What about Essential Academics students?

Seguin High School Essential Academics students will be allowed to attend school for
face-to-face instruction during the Dec. 15-18 time period. Transportation for these students will
be provided.

Will student meals be served?

Yes, student meals will be available for curbside pick up from 11:48 a.m. to 1:23 p.m. near the
PAC.

What about devices for remote learning?

Students without devices or internet access can stop by the Seguin High School bus loop on
Tuesday through Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. for Chromebook/hotspot distribution.
