RELAXED BUSINESS CASUAL DRESS CODE POLICY

To: All Ford Technology Services (India) (FTSI) Employees

Locations covered: Designated IT buildings (RMZ 3A, Tidel)

Subject: Relaxed Business Casual Dress Code

Effective Date: This policy is effective 20th May 2009.

Policy: This Policy is applicable to all FTSI Employees

The company recognizes the growing popularity of relaxed Business Casual dress and the
positive effects of this shift to create more comfortable work environment thereby,
improving quality, encouraging more open communication & increased productivity.
Therefore, the relaxed Business Casual will come into effect on all days.

Relaxed Business Casual attire in not mandatory and may not be appropriate for meeting
outside the facility with external business partners.

However, Business Formal is still appropriate and / or required for meeting/ presentations
outside the work location (designated IT buildings) or when meeting with external business
personnel or visitors from other office locations / country.

Violations of the Policy:

Department managers and supervisors are responsible for monitoring and enforcing this
policy. The policy will be administered according to the following action steps:

1. If questionable attire is worn in the office, the respective department
supervisor/manager will hold a personal, private discussion with the employee to advice
and counsel the employee regarding the inappropriateness of the attire.
2. If an obvious policy violation occurs, the department supervisor/manager will hold a
private discussion with the employee and ask the employee to go home and change his/her
attire immediately.
3. Repeated policy violations will result in disciplinary action.

Review and Revision


The Company reserves the right to rescind and/or amend this and all Company policies, at
any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What days of the week are the Relaxed Business Casual Dress Code in
effect?
A: The entire work week is covered by this policy. However, traditional business attire or
business casual may be appropriate and/or required for certain meetings/presentations
either inside or outside the company.

2) If the majority of my day is spent in a participating building, do I have to


forgo the relaxed business casual dress code for isolated meetings in other
buildings?
A: This dress code is intended for personnel conducting business in specific buildings. If
your schedule requires attendance in meetings in other locations, your dress should meet
the professional standard for the business you will be conducting

3) What is unacceptable relaxed business casual attire?


A: Please refer to the "Dress Code Policy" on intranet for the same

4) What is considered to be relaxed business Casual?


A: The policy has detailed out on the appropriate & least appropriate attire as business
casuals. However, the employee must use good judgement and professionalism while
dressing casual

5) What is the difference between a business casual & a casual dress?


A: Casual dress is what you might wear around the house or to an informal social event
such as a picnic. Therefore, casual dress is much more relaxed than the type of clothing
that is expected with relaxed business casual. The relaxed business casual dress code
policy is less formal than traditional business attire, but does not allow for spandex, torn or
heavily faded clothing or exposed undergarments or midriffs & the ones mentioned in the
"Dress Code Policy".

6) Who should I contact if I have any questions regarding this policy?


A: Please contact your HRBP representatives

7) How will the violations be dealt with?

A: If you're unsure about the appropriate attire please do consult with your manager on
the same

9) What should I wear when I go on official visit to different Ford office /


location?
A: The dress code in the respective visiting office is applicable in such case.

10) What if there is any other brand logo in the T- Shirt or Shirt?
A: Printed small brand logos on the top right or left corner of the T-Shirt are considered to
be OK.

11) Does this dress code policy include traditional / ethnic dress (eg: Dhotis,
Pyjamas, Kurtas etc…)?
A: During special occasions Employees are allowed to wear the traditional / ethnic dress as
mentioned above on obtaining prior approvals from General Manger HR.
