CTRLcustomz 
The information in this handbook is intended to inform you of the major 
personnel policies and procedures for employees of CTRLcustomz. If you are a 
new employee, we all wholeheartedly welcome you to our family. You and 
every other employee are important to our company. CTRLcustomz is an 
online customizable technology accessory production company in which we 
provide: phone chargers in various lengths, phone cases, decals, and more. 
We are located in a small town known as Stem, North Carolina. At 
CTRLcustomz, we endeavor providing every single customer with any 
customizable accessory of their preference.

At CTRL Customz, it is our mission to take your creative ideas and make your 
everyday items personalized. We will give you your wants and your desires by 
making your product one hundred percent reliable, and efficient.

Employee Procedures 

Attendance & Weekly Progress 


It is mandatory for you to report to work on time (2:00pm) in order to avert 
avoidable absences. Employee attendance is kept on the Weekly Log. You 
should be at your workstation, ready to get things done. As we are aware that 
uncontrollable instances may happen, such as: illness, loss of a loved one, etc., 
continuous absences or tardies (PLAN-C Policy: 5 tardies. In-Building Policy: 3 
tardies) from such individuals results in disciplinary action which can lead to 
discharge. If you must take the day off, make sure your supervisor knows and 
you fill out the Absentee/Tardiness Form. In the event you will have an 
unexpected absence or tardy, tell your supervisor as soon as possible and fill 
out the Absentee/Tardiness Form, leaving the date, your reasoning for being 
absent or tardy, and your signature. 

Dress Code  
As an employee of CTRLcustomz you are expected to present yourself as a 
clean and professional employee, however, casual attire is the normal with 
certain days out of the month being a dress day. As working remotely is an 
option, you are still required to obey the dress code. 
Employees must adhere to required dress and appearance standards 
including, but not limited to, those listed below. 

● Tank tops, short shorts or shirts/tops that expose the midriff or chest 
areas or clothing which exposes a person's undergarments will not be 
allowed.

● Hats, sweat bands or other types or headgear are not to be worn inside 
buildings, except for reasonable accommodations made for a 
sincerely-held religious belief. 
● Shoes must be worn at all times. 
● Jewelry, belts, bracelets or other types of accessories that pose a threat 
to the safety of the employee or other employees will not be allowed. 

Employees are not permitted to wear clothing or other items that contain 
advertisements for tobacco, alcohol, drugs or other illegal substances; 
that contains pictures or graphics of nudity; or that contains words or 
symbols that are profane, lewd, vulgar or indecent or likely to disrupt 
the learning environment. 

Employees are not permitted to wear clothing or other items that contain 
any symbols, styles or attire frequently associated with gangs, 
intimidation, violence or violent groups, provided that employees have 
been notified about such prohibited symbols, styles or attire.   

Personnel Records
It is important that CTRL Customz maintain accurate personnel records at all 
times. You are responsible for notifying your immediate supervisor or the 
Human Resources Department of any change in name, home address, 
telephone number, immigration status, or any other pertinent information. 
By promptly notifying CTRL Customz of such changes, you will avoid 
compromise of your benefit eligibility. 

Payroll schedule
Employees at CTRLcustomz receive their paycheck on the last Monday of 
every month. It is directly deposited into your personal VE bank account. 
Payroll is taxed at the North Carolina standard of 5.25%.

Job Descriptions

CEO 
The Chief Executive Officer is the leader of the firm and oversees day-to-day 
business operations. The CEO is responsible for supervising all departments 
of CTRLcustomz They must hold employees accountable for their duties in 
the company. 

CFO
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing the Accounting and 
Sales and Purchasing Department of the firm. The CFO must assist all 
employees in these departments. The CFO reports directly to the Chief 
Executive Officer (CEO). 

COO 
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities. 
They should ensure that everything is running smoothly and work for 
progress in the company. 

CMO
The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for overseeing the planning, 
development, and operations of the Sales and Marketing department​.

VP of Human Resources
The Human Resources Executive is held responsible for setting the daily tasks 
and turning in reports to the Administration.

Administration
The Administrative Department is in charge of conducting the many tasks 
that make sure the company continues to run properly. We keep the 
workplace running smoothly as well as making sure everybody knows what 
he or she is doing and whom he or she is reporting to.  

Human Resources
Human Resources is in charge of finding, screening, recruiting, and training 
job applicants, as well as administering employee-benefit programs. Human 
Resources play a key role in helping companies deal with the greater 
demand for quality employees. Human Resources help maintain a peaceful 
work environment.  

Accounting & Finance  


The Accounting and Finance department is responsible for coordinating 
payroll, creating annual budgets, paying bills, managing inventory, as well as, 
preparing the monthly financial quota.  

Design & IT
Design & IT are held accountable for maintaining the company website, 
developing the company slogan to complement the logo, creating company 
catalog as well as order forms. 

Sales & Marketing 


Sales & Marketing is held responsible for developing a marketing analysis, 
creating product descriptions, advertising company products, promoting the 
business through social media, flyers, catalogs, and brochures.

Promotions 
You are considered eligible for promotions after completing six months of 
gratifying work for CTRL Customz. Qualifications essential to being promoted 
include having proper skills, education, and experience deserving of a 
promotion. 

Employee of The Month


The Employee of The Month is chosen based off of the following: 
performance, attendance, and attitude. This will motivate employees to 
consistently work their hardest which will also help the company morale. 
They will be recognized verbally to the class, as well as on the monthly 
newsletter. The monthly newsletter will also contain birthdays, sales, a 
calendar with events and big projects, holidays, and any other information.  
 

Motivations 

Department Mixers 
Each month, the Human Resources department will put together and host 
fun social events and department mixers within our business family, which 
includes games, laughter, and fun. Usually, Friday is the special day chosen 
for our mixers. 

Peer Evaluations 
Employees are evaluated each month by the people in their department, as 
well as, their CEOs and administration. Each month, each employee is 
responsible for filling out a Peer Review Evaluation for each fellow employee

in assigned departments. If you are an executive of a department, you are 


required to fill a form out for your employees, as well as your CEO(s). If you are 
a(n) CEO, it is your duty to fill out a form for each executive of each 
department as well as your fellow Co-CEO.  
 

Employee Benefits 
Insurance 
CTRLcustomz offers a variety of insurance plans that each employee gets to 
choose 2 from. Medical insurance, dental insurance, vision, short-term 
disability plan (STD). As an employee, you are eligible to receive free health 
insurance, as well as, dental insurance as the company offers a dental plan. A 
short-term disability plan is also provided for eligible employees.

Internet Access 
Access to the Internet is given principally for work-related activities or 
approved educational/training activities. Incidental and occasional personal 
use and study use is permitted. This privilege should not be abused and must 
not affect the employee’s performance of employment-related activities. 
Internet filters are set up so some sites may be unreachable.  

Right to Monitor 
The CTRL Customz email and internet system (school email and internet) is at 
all times the property of CTRL Customs (the school). By accessing the 
Internet, electronic mail services through the facilities provided by CTRL 
Customs (the school), you acknowledge that CTRL Customs (the school) may 
from time to time monitor, log, and gather statistics on employee internet 
activity and may examine all individual connections and communications. 
Please note that CTRL Customz (the school) may use email filters to block 
spam and computer viruses. These filters may from time to time block emails 
from being received and sent.  
 

Social Media 
Carefully read these guidelines of the Ethics Policy. Inappropriate postings 
that may include discriminatory remarks, harassment, and threats of violence 
or similar inappropriate or unlawful conduct will not be tolerated and may 
subject you to disciplinary action up to and including termination. 

Be Respectful.   Always  be  fair  and  courteous  to  fellow 


associates,  customers,  members,  suppliers

or  people  who  work  on  behalf  of  CTRL 


Customz.  Also,  keep  in  mind  that  you  are 
more  likely  to  resolve  work-related 
complaints  by  speaking  directly  with  your 
co-workers  than  by  posting  complaints  to  a 
social media outlet. 

Be Honest and Accurate.  Make  sure  you  are  always  honest  and 
accurate  when  posting information or news, 
and  if you make a mistake, correct it quickly. 
Be  open  about  any  previous  posts  you  have 
altered.  Remember  that  the  Internet 
archives  almost  everything;  therefore,  even 
deleted  postings  can  be  searched.  Never 
post  any  information  or  rumors  that  you 
know  to  be  false  about  CTRL  Customz, 
fellow  associates,  members,  customers, 
suppliers,  people  working  on  behalf  of CTRL 
Customz or competitors. 

Using Social Media at Work.  Refrain  from  using  social  media  while  on 
work  time  or  on  equipment  we  provide, 
unless  it  is  work-related  as  authorized  by 
your  manager  or  consistent  with  the 
Company  Equipment  Policy.  Do  not  use 
CTRL  Customz  email  addresses  to  register 
on  social  networks,  blogs  or  other  online 
tools utilized for personal use. 

Media Contacts.  Associates  should  not  speak  to  the  media 


on  CTRL Customz behalf without contacting 
the  Corporate  Affairs  Department. All media 
inquiries should be directed to them. 

Post  Only  Appropriate  and  Respectful  Maintain  the  confidentiality  of  CTRL

Content.  Customz  trade  secrets  and  private  or 


confidential  information. Trades secrets may 
include  information  regarding  the 
development  of  systems,  processes, 
products,  know-how  and  technology.  Do 
not  post  internal  reports,  policies, 
procedures  or  other  internal 
business-related  confidential 
communications. 

Telephones 
Access to the CTRL Customz telephone system is given strictly for work 
related activities or incidental and o
​ ccasional ​personal use. This privilege may 
not affect the employee’s work ethic. The use of telephones should be 
centered around cost effective practices that support the company and fall 
under CTRL Customz’s guidelines. 
The CTRL Customz telephone system is property of the company.By using 
the telephone system, you acknowledge that CTRL Customz has the right to 
monitor it’s telephones to ensure that employees are using the system 
appropriately.

Mobile Devices  
While at work, employees are expected to refrain from personal use of cellular 
phones and computers. Personal calls and personal messages throughout 
the day is a huge distraction, not only to your productivity, but also others 
around. Use your best judgment when it comes to making or receiving 
personal cell phone calls at work. If possible, employees should limit making 
personal cell phone calls during breaks or lunch. The use of cameras on cell 
phones at CTRL Customz is strictly prohibited to protect the privacy of CTRL 
Customz as well as it’s employees. CTRL Customz also prohibits the use of 
handheld cellular devices while driving. Should this be a necessity required 
for employment, CTRL Customz employees are encouraged to use a hands 
free cellular device. Sending text messages is prohibited while operating any 
vehicle. 

Email 
Your email is property owned by CTRL Customz. All emails are archived and 
are subject to review by CTRL Customz. Your email should be used primarily 
for work, but using your email for personal reasons is allowed but encouraged 
to be kept to a minimum and for it to not interfere with your work. 
Your email, property of CTRL Customz, is prone to monitoring. This 
monitoring is done for the protection of you and the protection of CTRL 
Customz. Keep this in mind when using your email for personal matters. 
Your company email is like any other form of communication within your 
company, and using it for any unlawful purpose is prohibited. Your email is a 
privilege provided by CTRL Customz. Keep in mind that when you are

sending mail from your CTRL Customz email, you are representing the 
company whether your message is business related or not. 

Email Confidentiality 
As stated above, your CTRL Customz email is subject to monitoring and the 
release of emails is applicable based on laws, company rules, and policies. 
Existing policies related to the sharing of confidential information also apply 
to the sharing of information via electronics.   

Responsibilities and Obligations 


Employees may not access, download, or distribute material that is viewed as 
illegal, obscene, or offensive. This includes sending confidential information to 
unauthorized recipients, downloading or uploading pirated movies, music, 
and software, and performing actions such as hacking or fraud. 
Copyright and trademark laws must be respected. Proper citation must be 
applied when using web-based sources. You may not download software 
from the internet prior to the approval of a qualified CTRL Customz employee.

Safety 
Here at CTRLcustomz, our main concern is your safety. We always ask all of 
our employees to be safe and cautious anytime you are doing anything.  
 

Safety Procedures and Company Property 


Fire Safety: In case of a fire or a fire alarm, calmly line up and make your way 
towards the nearest exit. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure nothing 
blocks the walkway and to keep a safe environment so that we may prevent 
any kind of safety hazard.  
All employees are expected to follow all safety precautions. This includes 
reporting any kind of suspicious behavior and keeping the classroom doors 
locked during and after work hours. You are not supposed to open outside 
doors for anyone.  
If you get injured and have disability insurance, you will have a certain 
amount of time out of work while getting paid. If you don't have insurance, 
you will still have a certain amount of time out of work.  

Drug Free Company 


Here at CTRLcustomz, we are committed to being Drug Free Company and 
would like to spread being drug free to all other different surrounding 
companies!

CTRLcustomz is a company that believes in also being smoke free.

Substance Abuse
Here at CTRLcustoms, we also do not condone and do not believe in alcohol 
and/or substance abuse. 

Harassment 
CTRLcustomz is committed to ensuring that every employee is treated with 
equality and respect. We have adopted a “no tolerance” policy towards 
employee harassment. Harassment is federally defined as unwelcome 
conduct that is based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual 
orientationand gender identity), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or 
genetic information.  
Harassment of any person for any reason will result in immediate termination 
and possible law enforcement involvement. 
Sexual harassment is prohibited by federal law, and applies to people of all 
genders. Laws define sexual harassment as unwelcome sexual advances, 
requests for sexual favors,andother verbal or physical conduct of a sexual 
nature, when the conduct: (1) explicitly or implicitlyaffectsa term or condition 
of an employee’s employment; (2) is used as the basis for employment 
decisions affecting the employee; or (3) unreasonably interfereswith an 
employee’s work performance or createsan intimidating, hostile or offensive 
working environment. CTRLcustomz encourages reporting of all incidents of 
sexual harassment, regardless of who is involved. 
 

Violence
CTRLcustomz is committed to the safety of all employees and management. 
Workplace violence is defined as any physical assault or act of aggressive

behavior occurring where an employee performs any work-related duty in 


the course of his or her employment,including but not limited to an attempt 
or threat, whether verbal or physical, to inflict physical injury upon an 
employee; any intentional display of force which would give an employee 
reason to fear or expect bodily harm; intentional and wrongful physical 
contact with a person without his or her consent that entails some injury; or 
stalking an employee with the intent of causing fear of material harm to the 
physical safety and health of such employee when such stalking has arisen 
through and in the course of employment. 
 
Everyone is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work 
environment where everyone is equally respected, including management, 
employees, and clients. 
Any act of violence will be thoroughly investigated and may result in 
termination possible law enforcement involvement.

Disabilities and Accommodations


The federal Americans with Disabilites Act prohibits discrimination against 
qualified people with disabilites in job applications, hiring, firing, and other 
regular employment procedures. 
One can be considered disabled if they: 1) have a physical or mental 
impairment that limits their ability to complete regular everyday tasks; 2) 
have a history of such an impairment; or 3) is regularly regarded as having 
such impairment. 
Qualified employees are able to request accommodation from the company 
in order to facilitate their work. Should they decide to request 
accommodation, they should contact their supervisor, manager, or the 
Human Resources department. We will then determine whether we can 
assist, and if we can, we will explore alternatives until we reach a mutual 
agreement. Remember, CTRLcustomz does not have to provide the exact 
accommodation desired. 
 

Dispute Resolution 
All employees of CTRL Customz agree to first seek to mediate any dispute 
with the Company with a mediator from the American Arbitration 
Association or similar organization trained and experienced in employment 
disputes. If mediation is not successful, both CTRL Customz and the 
employees agree to submit their dispute to arbitration. The arbitrator will be 
chosen from a panel presented by the American Arbitration Association or 
such other organization as is acceptable to both parties. The cost of the 
arbitrator will be split between CTRL Customz and the employee. Each party 
will be responsible for its own attorney or other related fees. Both CTRL

Customz and the employee acknowledge that by agreeing to arbitrate, each 


gives up its right to litigate their employment dispute in court or to submit it 
to a jury. The decision of the arbitrator is final and binding. 
 

Violations of Policies
Employees must follow the law and CTRL Customz policies and guidelines at 
all times. Violations of these policies count as a serious offense and subject to 
the law, may have discipline that ranges from restriction of electronic access 
to sanction that results in employee termination. 
 

Write-ups 
If an employee or executive feels that it is necessary to write up another 
employee, they can ask HR for a write up form and give it to your supervisor 
for them to approve it. If an employee gets three warnings, they 
automatically receive a write-up. If an executive receives three write ups, they 
are demoted from their position. If an employee receives three write-ups they 
will be fired.

Supervisor Responsibility 
All CTRLcustomz managers are expected to ensure that the workplace is free 
from any type of harassment. This includes encouraging the employees to 
report situations of harassment before it becomes severe, making sure that 
the Human Resources department is made aware of any inappropriate 
behavior in the workplace, and creating a work environment where all types 
of harassment are prohibited. CTRLcustomztakes claims of harassment 
seriously, no matter how trivial a claim may appear, and all complaints and 
related information will remain confidential,except to those individuals who 
need the information to investigate, educate, or take action in response to 
the complaint.
