Waldorf Doll Shirt & Pants

MATERIALS:

2 children’s t-shirts or 1 adult t-shirt

1/4” wide elastic

DIRECTIONS:

Print out patterns.

Fold your t-shirt in half front to back so

that the side seams are in the middle of the
t-shirt.

Lay the shirt pattern on one fold and cut it

out. Repeat on the other fold.

Do the same thing for the pants.

For the shirt:

With right sides together, sew from point 1

to point 2. Then point 3 to point 4.

For the elastic neck casing, fold the neck

down about 1/2 inch and sew leaving an
small opening.

Measure around your doll’s neck and cut a

piece of elastic to that length (approx. 5”).
Feed it through the opening and sew the
ends together with a zigzag stitch.

Sew the opening shut and turn the shirt inside out!

For the pants:

With right sides together, fold over each leg, and sew up the inside seam. Repeat for other leg. Turn one leg right
side out. Insert this leg inside the other leg, matching up the sewn seams. Sew up the U-shaped crotch area. Turn
the pants inside out sew down 1/2 inch for the elastic casing, leaving a small opening. Measure snuggly around the
doll’s waist and cut your elastic to that length (approx 7”). Feed the elastic through the casing and sew ends together.
Sew the opening shut and turn them inside out!

*Note: Since t-shirt material doesn’t fray, I left the edges raw. If you are using another fabric, you may want to finish
off the sleeves and bottom edge.
