Assignment:
Over the next week and a half, you will be teaming up with your group members to create a
persuasive presentation for your class. Each group is the same union that they were a part of in
class.
Your group is to come up with a presentation that persuades the rest of the class that your
mode of transportation is the most important. (psst… homework assignment number 8 should
help give you some ideas!) The presentation should be long enough so to clearly state your
group’s reasoning.
We learned a LOT of material this unit. Let’s use it! This project is an assessment of what you
took away from this unit, but in a way that encourages teamwork, communication, critical
thinking, and a bit of lighthearted competition.
v Have active participation from all group members in the creation and presentation of project.
v Be completely in French (both the spoken project and extra materials)
v Be long enough to clearly share ideas.
v Mention at least one of social justice aspects that we have talked about up to this point, for
instance, promoting sustainable development, mental health, equity among riders, etc.
v Proof that your group had fun J
v Have all group members’ names included on materials to be turned in.
v Include at least:
Ø 2 adverbs
Ø 1 verb of motion (remember that list we studied!)
Presentation format options (if your group has an idea that isn’t on the list, come to talk to
me!)
v Poster
v PowerPoint/Google Slides/Prezi/Another online presentation tool
v Song & Dance
v Speech
What will the Active Listeners be doing?
v When you are not presenting, you will be expected to listen intently to your classmates.
v Positive behavior is expected. Points will be deducted from your own presentation if you are
disrespectful.
v Every listener will have an evaluation sheet to fill out. It will be turned in at the very end.
v There will be a sheet to fill out to evaluate your classmates’ presentation. This will not affect
final grades! This is, however, supposed to be fun and lighthearted. The group at the end with
the most points will get a small trinket.
Each individual will be graded as a presenter and an active listener. As a presenter, you will be
graded on:
v Communication
Ø Pronunciation
Ø Volume
Ø Use of French
v Content
Ø Preparedness
Ø Final materials
1. On the day of your presentation, every group will turn in their presentation materials
(whether it’s a poster, PowerPoint slides, lyrics, speech, etc.)
2. Every individual will hand in the rubric (on next page).
3. Once all presentations are complete, you will turn in your completed active listener sheet.

• Give anywhere between 1 and 5 points for how much you agree with the sentences in the
