Presentation
The ONS 2014 Exhibition is led by the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (FIEMG),
through its International Business Center (CIN-MG), with the support of the National Confederation of
Industry (CNI), through the Brazilian Network of International Business Centers (CIN Network), and The
Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

This Mission is an opportunity for Brazilian entrepreneurs interested in investing in Norway to establish
partnerships and to promote bilateral trade. This event will allow interaction with entrepreneurs
from all over the world to discuss subjects of common interest, the present reality and search of the
sustainable growth.

The exhibition stands worldwide as one of the main meeting place regarding to the energy and
oil industry, thus being a rich opportunity to make business, networking and foundation for future
agreements and contracts.

 CNI
Twenty-seven Industry Federations in the states and Federal District. Over a thousand associated
employers unions and almost 100,000 industrial establishments. CNI is the voice of Brazilian Industry,
a highly active organization in defense of the productive sector with the mission of defending and
representing industry.

Finally, however professional a company’s administration might be, it is always subject to external
influences - like obstacles to accessing international markets, taxation changes, labor-related issues and
environmental requirements.

In order to guarantee the existence of an appropriated environment for doing business, CNI ensures that
the industrial community actively participates in the formulation of public policies that allow a healthy
environment for the development of businesses. Within the sphere of Legislative Affairs, for example,
CNI accompanies those proposals that are of interest to the industrial sector being deliberated in the
National Congress.

In the sphere of the Judicial Branch, CNI makes sure that the Constitution is properly respected by
continuously monitoring laws that directly affect the Industry Sector. CNI activities also involve the
Executive Branch and the whole Civil Society permanently evaluating the decisions being made that
have a direct impact on the productive sector and watching the political and economic scene which can
be divided into important thematic areas, namely:

• Infrastructure;
• Environment;
• Micro and Small Businesses;
• Economy;
• Labor;
• Social Responsibility.

Furthermore, with the regular publication of researches, studies’ results and indicators, CNI provides
businessmen with the necessary supporting elements for decision making. The Confederation also
constantly seeks to establish strategic partnerships aiming at strengthening the Industrial Sector and the
country’s sustainable growth.

Coordinated nationwide by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and founded with the support
of The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), the Brazilian Network of
International Business Centers (CIN Network) is aimed at internationalizing Brazilian businesses.

 Apex-Brasil
The mission of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) is to foster the overseas
competitiveness of Brazilian companies, by promoting their internationalization and the attraction of
foreign direct investment (FDI) into Brazil. Apex-Brasil currently supports over 12,000 companies from
more than 70 sectors of the Brazilian economy, which export to over 200 markets. In partnership
with Brazilian trade associations, Apex-Brasil organizes international trade promotion initiatives, such as
trade missions, targeted business matching meetings, and support for Brazilian Companies to participate
in major international trade fairs. Apex-Brasil conducts business and competitive intelligence studies,
which play a critical role in the decision-making process of Brazilian companies entering foreign markets.
Apex-Brasil also plays a leading role in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into Brazil, by working

The Federation of the Industries of the state of
Bahia – FIEB represents the FIEB system founded
on August 12, 1938 as the main institutional
representative of Bahia State industry. The FIEB
System main goal is to promote integrated
actions to develop, modernize and increase
the competitiveness of the Bahia State industry
as well as improve the life quality of its workers
and their families.The FIEB System comprises 41

Guided towards promoting the insertion of the
industry of Bahia into the international market,
CIN FIEB (International Business Center of the
Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia)
is a service provider for companies pursuing

The Federation of Industries of Espirito Santo
State, it is affiliated to the National Industry
Confederation (CNI), has as mission to represent
this person from de State of Espirito Santo
sector, that is responsible for more than 36%
of the Gross domestic product of the State, and
to defend the interests of the industry of the
State, to improve its competitiveness, searching
permanently the reinforcement of its unions,
the increase of the entrepreneurship and the
sustainable development. There are 30 industrial
unions affiliated to FINDES, including segments
as of Food and Drinks, Textile, clothes, civil
construction, heavy machines, chemistry, paper
and cellulose, cement, graph, computer science,
wood, footwear, coffee, packings and rubber. The
state of Espirito Santo industry possesss more than
10 thousand industrial establishments, that use

The history of the Union of Metallurgical and
Electrical Material Espírito Santo (Sindifer) is a
pioneering history of success achieved over the
43 years of its existence. Since 1971, when it was
created, the Union has represented companies

and standing out as one of the most efficient

An Emalto Group Company, Emalto Mechanical
Industry produces parts of metal frame and boiler
shop segments for the metallurgical, steelworks,
petrochemical, cellulose, mining, metallic
construction, hydropower generation sectors,
among others. Nowadays it has two production
sites with capacity to industrialize one thousand
tons of steel per month. Emalto was also the
first company of the metal structure and boiler
making segments to get Usiminas’ inspection-free
certificate in 1996. Furthermore, it was the only
company in Minas Gerais state to obtain Voith
Siemens’ certificate for performance, quality and
delivery time with an “excellent” grade.

Founded in 1990 with headquarters in Ponte
Nova the Trade Union of Construction Valley of
Piranga aims integration and strengthening of
its companies of the Construction sector across
Piranga . This Valley covers the total of 32 cities and
main cities are Ouro Preto, Mariana, Viçosa, Raul
Soares and Ponte Nova. There are 174 companies
operating in various areas of construction, with
outstanding performance in providing services to
large mining companies in the region as well as
construction and development of residential and
commercial buildings, providing services to major
municipalities in the region, being responsible for

the peculiarities of each region SINDUSCON,
