The term mass-media, a formula sometimes like media, is an English expression in the

plural, it is taken care of and taken over in Romanian, it can be translated and signified “mass
(communication) media”.
In today's society, the media plays a crucial role in social life, becoming, over time, a
growing and indispensable power, with a strong influence on segments of society. Their
active presence is felt in the financial-banking life, in the development of the industry, in the
evolution of the technology, in the political life, but also in the daily life, building in their own
turn an industry. In a democratic state, they have the role of informing, commenting and
criticizing, being considered "the vital center of public life".
All media efforts focus on the effects it seeks to produce in the communication process.
Obviously, it is about the "deliberate consequences" of receiving the message, about the effect
of communication. Some effects are mainly related to the physical abilities of a media
consumer. In other cases, it is the time when a certain effect persists. We can say that through
the type of messages, the media effect represents all the changes at individual or social level
that it produces.
Newspapers, radio, television, and the Internet — including e-mail and blogs — are usually
less influential than the social environment, but they are still significant, especially in
affirming attitudes and opinions that are already established. The news media focus the
public’s attention on certain personalities and issues, leading many people to form opinions
about them.
I consider that the media is too focused on unimportant issues and we are shown to
consumers a lot of false news. First of all, I believe that the media values what people would
like to see, not what they should see. Scandals and personal problems of celebrities are in the
foreground. I claim that most of the world believes in the media because it provides the most
accurate information and that it goes through several checks until it reaches our ears.
Secondly, considering the panic they have instilled in the world because of this crisis, with
false news about the number of deaths and infections, I believe that the media is focused on
making them work, not on our ears. correct.
At the local level, the media greatly influences a person's life, personality and conscience in
terms of the news they publish.
In conclusion, I believe that most Romanians believe in the media and in the information they
transmit and last but not least that it influences us.
