Qualification and Experience:

1. Controller of Examinations (term post of five years)

1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the
UGC seven point scale.

2. At least 15 years of experience as Asst. Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000 and


above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as
Associate Professor along with experience in Educational Administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishments and other institutions of higher
education.
OR

15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an


equivalent post.

Note: 5% relaxation in minimum marks at Master’s level shall be allowed for candidates
of SC/ST and physically challenged category and for those who are already in the
University system.

Upper Age Limit : Should not exceed 56 years as on 1.2.2011

2. Deputy Registrar :

(a) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC
seven point scale.
(b) 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000 and above with
experience in educational administration, or
(c) Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher
education, or
(d) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in
a university/educational or research institution.
(e) Adequate experience in computer applications

Desirable qualification:
(a) Awareness of modern tools of communication
(b) Capability of working in multi-task environment
(c) Adequate knowledge in Finance/Administration/Establishment matters

Note: 5% relaxation in minimum marks at Master’s level shall be allowed for candidates of
SC/ST and physically challenged category and for those who are already in the
University system.

Upper Age Limit: Not more than 50 years as on 1.2.2011

3. Assistant Registrar

(a) Good academic record plus Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or its
equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven‐point scale.
(b) Five years experience in Administration/Accounts as Section Officer or in an
equivalent post in a Government Department/University/Educational or Research
Institution
(c) Adequate knowledge in computer applications

Desirable qualification

(a) Awareness of modern tools of communication

4. Deputy Librarian

(a) Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with


at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55%, where grading system is
practiced.
(b) A Ph.D degree in the above discipline or allied discipline with a consistently good
academic record.
(c) A minimum of 10 years of teaching/Library experience with at least 5 years as an
Assistant Librarian/College Librarian
(d) Evidence of innovative library services, organization and computerization of library.
(e) Evidence of published work with a minimum of 5 publications in indexed/ISBN/
ISSN Journals and/or ISBN/ISSN numbered books and University developed ISBN/
ISSN numbered list of journals hosted on the website of the concerned University.
(f) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these
Regulations.

Age: Not more than 50 years as on 1.2.2011

5. Assistant Librarian

(a) Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or


an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade of
55%, where grading system is practised and a consistently good academic record with
knowledge on computerization of library.
(b) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like
SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other
Agency approved by the UGC.
(c) Holders of Ph.D degree as on the date of Notifications of these Regulations, along
with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D degree through a process of
admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of M.Phil/Ph.D degree), Regulations,
2009 and so adopted by the University shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Note: 5% relaxation in minimum marks at Master’s level shall be allowed for candidates of
SC/ST and physically challenged category.

6. System Analyst

(a) I Class M.Tech/M.E or equivalent (Computers/IT/Electronics/Instrumentation)/


with 2 years experience in relevant field/I Class MCA/ B.Tech/ BE or equivalent
(Computers/ IT/Electronics/ Instrumentation) with four years experience in the field
OR
(b)M.Sc. (Comp or IT) with five years experience in the field

Note: 5% relaxation in minimum marks at Master’s level shall be allowed for candidates of
SC/ST and physically challenged category.

Upper Age Limit: Not more than 45 years as on 1.2.2011

Job Requirement

• System Analyst must have strong skills in development, debugging, testing and
troubleshooting applications using various programming Languages.
• Experience of development of Web applications with large multimedia database is
required.
• Experience in full life cycle development and good communication skills (written
and verbal) are a must.
• Understanding of project requirements, Application Programming, Maintenance
and handling of the total IT system of the University and guiding the team to meet
deadlines.
• Experience in Process Documentation will be an added advantage.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

1. The number of posts advertised is tentative. The University reserves the right to fill up the posts
that may arise subsequently, from the panel, up to one year.

2. The university reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning
any reason. The right is also reserved with the university either to fill or not to fill any or all the
posts and its decision in this regard shall be final.

3. Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post should submit separate application and
processing fee.

4. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. The university
reserves its right to place reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for
interview. University will evolve own criteria for short-listing the candidates to be called for
interview.

5. Minimum requirements of qualification and experience can be relaxed in respect of exceptional


candidates found otherwise suitable by the Screening/Selection Committee.

6. Reservation Policy will be followed as per Govt. of India Rules. The SC/ST/OBC candidates are
required to attach the caste certificate as per prescribed format.

7. Age relaxation to the eligible categories of applicants will also be provided as per Govt. of India
Rules, except for post No.1.

8. The process of selection may be done through test/presentation/interview or a combination


thereof.

9. The service conditions including pay scales and age of superannuation shall be as per UGC/Govt.
of India and as per University Ordinances and Regulations.

10.The applicants serving in Government/Semi-Government organization/Public Sector


Undertaking/Autonomous Organizations must send their applications "Through Proper
Channel". Applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be
considered. However, an advance copy of the application may be sent if the original application is
being forwarded through proper channel.

11. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of Test/Interview.

12.Canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature.

13.Incomplete applications and applications unaccompanied by relevant supporting enclosures


(attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/ experience certificate, etc) will be rejected.

14. Applications along with relevant documents should be submitted in triplicate.

15.Notification number and date and the post applied for should be superscribed on the envelope
containing the application.

16. Applications not in the prescribed format shall be rejected.

17. The University shall not be responsible for postal delay, if any.

18.Application should be accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee by way of demand draft


of Rs.300/- for general category (no fee for SC/ST and disabled candidates) drawn on any
nationalized Bank in favour of the Central University of Kerala payable at Kasaragod.

19.Application in the prescribed format must reach the office of the Registrar, Central University
of Kerala, Nayanmarmoola, Vidyanagar P O, Kasaragod – 671 123 (Kerala) on or before 21st
February, 2011.
