Purpose of the assignment: Each of the topics listed above is considered to be major health advancement. Choose one
and research it focusing on the history and timeline of the topic, dates, important people, advances, breakthroughs and the
effects it has had on the world.

Referencing Style: The paper should be documented and footnoted according to the rules given by the instructor. Final
length should be a minimum of 4 -6 pages double-spaced.  The paper will include a title page and works cited page which
do not count towards the minimum page requirement.  The bibliography page should contain at least four sources. 

Target Audience: The paper should be written for the students in the classroom. The goal is to supply them with
information that is worthwhile and understandable.

Additional Requirements: An outline of the report will be required prior to beginning the report. One poster must be
prepared based on the completed research paper. The poster should help explain the subject being presented by showing
charts, pictures, diagrams, etc. Student will give a brief 3 – 5 minute presentation to the class using the poster only.

Formatting:

The entire essay should be double-spaced between lines and paragraphs along with 1" margin on all sides. This includes
the first page, start at the top of the page and do not restate the title. Indent paragraphs 5 spaces. Do not put extra space
between paragraphs.

Do not right justify the entire essay. Left justify or justify the essay as left justification does not leave big gaps between
words.

DO NOT WRITE OR TYPE EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS

Use the one of the following fonts: Times New Roman, Calibri, Veranda, Courier, and Century Schoolhouse.

Font size 11 or 12, color black. This is a formal report so do not include any pictures or charts, information only.

Title page may be formal or decorative.

Report sheets should be stapled at the upper left-hand corner. Use a paper clip if no stapler is available. Do not use a fold
or hand it in with loose sheets.
